Bathrooms are not keyed or secure. Scary if traveling alone. Although they were clean on the night of our stay, the next morning early I encountered diarrhea splattered all over the floor making entry to the toilets impossible. At 1030 that morning the mess had still not been cleaned up! Disgusting and creepy place. Not KOA caliber

No one warned us about possible flooding and Our site flooded the 1st night. no one asked us if we were OK if we needed anything. The pool was not clean. The woman that seemed to be running things was very unfriendly

Nice shady park with level pull thrus and full hook ups. Easy in out and great for a travel stop.

Had a reservation. Went to desk lady said not sure if it will work we had a lot of rain last night. Went to site it was 1/2 standing water. When we pulled in sign said park full. When we got up next morning the 9 or so empty sites were still empty. Seems as though they could have put us in a dryer site being as they were still empty in the am. Very unhappy people running the place.

The sites were empty because we closed them they were too wet.

It had everything we needed, it’s just a little tired. It could stand a little sprucing up. But if you’re there for overnight, no problem . Just do not expect too much, and you will not be disappointed.

Yes after 9 inches of rain in less than 6 hours thing can look abit of a mess.

As far as the camp sites are concerned I don't have any complaints. The reason for the rating is I wanted to fill my propane tanks and the elderly gentleman that filled them didn't reset the meter prior to starting the fill so I kept track of the amount they took. I went to pay and was charged $62.00 for 11 gals. Of propane. If you want to stay there it'll be fine but don't fill tanks.

I found the Kampground to be lovely. The grounds were clean & tidy, my site was level, nice trees, was able to get satellite service, and the staff friendly. So convenient to downtown St. Louis! Definitely a quieter park than most KOAs. Would stop again!

A convenient location but way too many permanent campers. The campground is located in an industrial area and not very secure feeling.

The worst KOA we have ever stayed at. We arrived at 6:55 and the office was already closed (instead of waiting to 7). The park seemed unkempt, dirty, and had several permanent RVs that looked like junk yard heaps. The playground was absolutely filthy. We love KOAs but this one may need new management.

Expect Journey KOAs to be along highways and have some highway noise but this one was slightly off the highway and surrounded by industrial trucking facilities. Constantly heard trucks start their engines and pull out of the lots. Other Journey KOAs all offered pancake breakfasts-not this one. Spaces were long enough but our site was added to the row and was previously the part of the exit road.

Our stay was just an overnight stop while traveling, but we arranged to stop here because we were impressed during an overnight some years ago.

Close to downtown and Gateway Arch NP. Fine for a stopover, place to park the camper and see the Arch.

Loved the convenience of being near St Louis without being in a city. Plenty of trees and shade which interfered with our satellite dish but there was cable. The site was very narrow for our 40 ft beast. Office people were very friendly and courteous. Yes would stay here again.

Nice location, secluded, near a big lake. Shade trees, level spots, clean facilities, activities for the kids, friendly staff, reasonable cost. Would stay again.

Nice staff...only complaint was the noise on a Friday night from a local racetrack... we would have gone to the races but we didn’t know where the track was...found a very good Chinese buffet in the area.

The cabin didn't appear to be very well swept before we came in. The mattresses should be lifted up and the bed frame vacuumed after each stay. This was not the case for us. The air conditioning worked well in the heat.

I called the campground to let them know that we would be arriving late. Anna stated that it would not be a problem and that she would have the campsite map in their overnight box. She was very nice. The campground is beautiful.

Clean and friendly, easy parking, nice dog park, laundry facilities, easy after hours check-in, adorable rates. Needed a sewer extension hose and a coupler. They had what I needed in the store, and the supplies weren't too expensive. Beautiful, well maintained park. We had a great experience there. 🥰😎

Out of the way Journey. Nothing too fancy. Even tho it's located in an industrial area, you don't even notice. Great if you are visiting the area and need a home base.
