It was a nice campground, we came after heavy rains hit the area so quite a few areas were flooded. My daughter loved the jumping pillow thing and really enjoyed the pool. I wish it opened before 11 as we wanted to swim before we left to come home &had it opened at 9 it would have given us more than enough time to change& get out of our site before 11. Can't enjoy the amenities if they aren't open

The location was convenient, but the tent sites were not properly graded and as a result at least three tent sites were completely flooded on the tent pad or under the dining tent.The staff should be aware of which sites that flood and offer suggested sites to the patrons. There were 10 open sites when we got there and we were told to pick any one. This cut our stay short by a few hrs and a shower

We arrived after the office was closed, but called with questions prior to arrival. The person that answered was very unfriendly. Pool closes at dusk, so we barely go to use it after arrival. The jumping pillow wasn’t blown up prior to us leaving so my girls didn’t even get to have fun on it while we hooked up our camper to leave. Bathrooms were disgusting. Showers and toilets needed cleaned.

Staff not especially friendly or helpful. 4 out of 6 dryers were "out of service." The shower heads were mounted incorrectly so that they shot water outside the shower pan, with not way to turn them to the side, and made a mess of the whole area.

It’s in the middle of an industrial park!! Just started staying at KOAs and realizing that websites are not clear as what the sites are like or exactly where they are. If you want to pull in, stay in your camper, sleep and leave then this is ok.

Staff was pleasant and welcoming! They were always polite snd said “ Good Morning”, “ Good Evening”, “Thank You”, and “ Have a Good Day!”

Had to change from a tent (lost to a storm) to a cabin at the very last moment. Very accommodating and helpful. Spider webs and egg cases in the corners, but otherwise clean and everything worked as expected. Will come again here if traveling through.

Located within an industrial area with active trains. Laundry hours only 9am-5pm. Showers were filthy. Tent sites and campground roadways were completely flooded out after an overnight storm.

Staff friendly and helpful, but office closed at 6 and so did the pool. Pool was nice. Just not enough time.

The only thing going for the Granite City KOA is that it has no competion. The property is low and has mediocre drainage, which means mud when it rains. The off leash area is too small and too wet and therefore goes unused. The sites that have been abandoned, and the shipping containers planted within the campground, contribute to a decrepit feel to the place. Staff seems to be trying.

This was our first KOA. If they ate all like this I will not stay at one again.I thought the owner was very rude. It was clean but the not having a fire or putting out our rug or putting stake's in the ground was very disheartening. It was so quiet by 8:00 we went to bed and left as early in the morning as we could.

Pool seemed in good repair. Facilities OK. Bathhouse was clean, but in need of updates and not in the best of locations.

This property is badly in need of an overall clean-up and facelift. Also, many very unfriendly full-timers. It is in a seemingly unsavory area with difficult access. Sites are small, dirty, and unkempt as well. Other than the staff member that assisted us on the phone, I, unfortunately, do not have any positive feedback on this property, which is sad as we typically love KOA campgrounds.

Traveling customers might benefit from having a laundry open later than 6 or 6:30 pm. Many travelers arrive in the late afternoon and leave early to continue their journey. The early closing time was not helpful. Otherwise the stay was good, check in orderly and the space good for our brief stay.

The campground was average. With the heavy rain, our site was underwater. Some drainage work could improve the flooding.

Easy to get in and out of park. Site was large enough to unhook tow vehicle and pull forward on site. All utilities worked very good.

We’ve given out lots of stars in our journey but regrettably we need to speak up about this location. The campground itself was ok although quite outdated but the thing that really upset us was the attitude of not just one but all the staff there- they really acted like they hated being there! No smiles, no good mornings, no actual help at all. Very disappointing after all our other stays.

Very nice campground, love the ones that have gravel instead of dirt. So messy to track wet dirt into camper, much appreciate gravel or concrete. The office People were helpful with a site that was satellite friendly, wanted to watch hockey. Wonderful park, nice people, big space, will return next time. Thank you.

Everything was clean & staff were friendly & helpful. Our neighbors practically had their whole kitchen outside their camper. (2 refrigerators, stove, sink, microwave, BBQ grill, etc). Neighbors also had stuff tied to the trees.. Looked horrible!

Short overnight stay after long day of driving. Kind of hard to get to. Could not put up my American Flag as no stakes are allowed.

We were put in a site that was under water. I requested to be moved to the site next to ours and the gal said we couldn’t move. I asked 3 times and was told the site was booked for someone coming in for 14 days. 3 nights it remained empty only used for one night stands.Some office staff were not friendly. Maintenance filled the mud and water with gravel the next day. Worst KOA I stayed at.

This is a place if you want to pull in and leave in the morning. The sites are very narrow. No yard at all. Literally next to your neighbor. Grass not cut for the holiday weekend. Mosquitoes will get you. In an industrial area and you know it. Some KOAs you cannot tell where they are located because they are so well kept. Not the case here.

Clean and friendly, easy parking, nice dog park, laundry facilities, easy after hours check-in, adorable rates. Needed a sewer extension hose and a coupler. They had what I needed in the store, and the supplies weren't too expensive. Beautiful, well maintained park. We had a great experience there. 🥰😎

Out of the way Journey. Nothing too fancy. Even tho it's located in an industrial area, you don't even notice. Great if you are visiting the area and need a home base.
