Not our favorite KOA. Very nice check in person. Pool,,,,,,needs major cleaning. Chose not to get in the water. No campfires the county rule but takes camping fun away. Not being able to put our rv rug outside made for walking in mud. Not really any grass anyway....just weeds. HATED the set up of our canopy area directly facing other campers vs having privacy.

This campground is located very conveniently to all the must see attractions in St. Louis and served as a great "base camp" for us. While the campground is obviously very old and not as well kept up as many of the KOA's we've stayed at, it was very clean. The biggest problem is the noise level. Between the 18-wheelers, the train and the racetrack it certainly was not a peaceful place!

The pool was green and nasty. Grass, wood. Metal and yard waste was piled up. The kids playground needs new ground cover. This place needs some major upkeep done.

Maybe if we are traveling through we’d stay again but the pool water color was gross and they parked us next to a wreck of a house with tossed beer cans and whiskey bottles within site.

All in all it wasn't bad. The location was a little sketchy until we pulled into the actual KOA. The camp sites were nice with picnic tables and trees for shade. The staff was friendly and gave us information on nearby attractions and stores. Our kids loved the jumping pillow.

Park Located in ugly noisy diesel truck area. Near super loud car revving racetrack. Not well maintained grounds. Green pool. Unfriendly staff who always looked and sounded like they wanted to be anywhere but there!! Our 4th tume crossiing the US and this is by far the worst KOA we’ve stayed at. We stay at KOA because of the standards that they maintain… this place meets none of them.

Spent one night and the site was nice. Everything worked as it was supposed to. Showers were nice and hot with great water pressure. Surrounding area was a little sketchy but you would never know pulling into the well landscaped and neat camp ground. The staff were super friendly.

staff was friendly,, park was a little rough ,, had a lot of standing water ,, but apparently that area was getting a lot of rain,, was just an overnight stop for us so it served the purpose well..

We had one of the worst spots in the park. The site had a drainage ditch running through it there are lots of other open spots but we got put in number seven and it was very tight and very wet and dirty

The campground was quiet and clean. Our site was level. We lost a hitch cotter pin and a KOA gentleman took great interest solving our issue. As it turned out, he had an extra pin! He gave it to us and we were on our way! Virtual hug to him!!�

Clean and quiet campground. The employees were friendly. We just stopped in for a night, but would stay again if ever in the st louis area.

Last minute stay on a return trip home. Not sure if this location is in the best part of town? Someone tried to get into our RV at 1:47am. We had everything locked up, but it still scared my wife and made it impossible to sleep the rest of the night.

Very friedly at check in! Convenient to downtown St Louis. Sand pit in children's play area had cat poo in it.Needs privacy fence to block view of storage and trucks in the back of C loop. Electric post was infested with wasps. Stung while hooking up.

it was okay for a stop over (two days), staff was somewhat rude and our campsite was a dump, while setting up I had to clean up dumped garbage, food, tossed old dog food, and someone poured candle wax all over the ground. Then we had to park in front of a tree and could not put the awning out. The fellow campers were nice, staff was not at all

Campground was fine biggest issue is the laundry. It’s touted as a journey to support your travels but the laundry is only open 9:00 - 5:00 so if your traveling all day you almost have to extend a day IOT take care of laundry. These hours were hand written on the camp map and should be listed before you book with them.

This was a fabulous home base for our trip to St Louis. The playground and jump pillow are nice bonuses.

Nice enough for an overnight stay. Lots of things for kids to do, just in an odd location. Office staff were nice and escorted us to our spot.

The playground was very dirty. The grass was tall. Looks like the lawn hadn’t been trimmed in a long time. They told us they could get three of us side-by-side and they didn’t. I’m surprised KOA has a campground this bad.

It was a nice campground, we came after heavy rains hit the area so quite a few areas were flooded. My daughter loved the jumping pillow thing and really enjoyed the pool. I wish it opened before 11 as we wanted to swim before we left to come home &had it opened at 9 it would have given us more than enough time to change& get out of our site before 11. Can't enjoy the amenities if they aren't open

We arrived after the office was closed, but called with questions prior to arrival. The person that answered was very unfriendly. Pool closes at dusk, so we barely go to use it after arrival. The jumping pillow wasn’t blown up prior to us leaving so my girls didn’t even get to have fun on it while we hooked up our camper to leave. Bathrooms were disgusting. Showers and toilets needed cleaned.

Staff not especially friendly or helpful. 4 out of 6 dryers were "out of service." The shower heads were mounted incorrectly so that they shot water outside the shower pan, with not way to turn them to the side, and made a mess of the whole area.

It’s in the middle of an industrial park!! Just started staying at KOAs and realizing that websites are not clear as what the sites are like or exactly where they are. If you want to pull in, stay in your camper, sleep and leave then this is ok.

Located within an industrial area with active trains. Laundry hours only 9am-5pm. Showers were filthy. Tent sites and campground roadways were completely flooded out after an overnight storm.

The only thing going for the Granite City KOA is that it has no competion. The property is low and has mediocre drainage, which means mud when it rains. The off leash area is too small and too wet and therefore goes unused. The sites that have been abandoned, and the shipping containers planted within the campground, contribute to a decrepit feel to the place. Staff seems to be trying.

This was our first KOA. If they ate all like this I will not stay at one again.I thought the owner was very rude. It was clean but the not having a fire or putting out our rug or putting stake's in the ground was very disheartening. It was so quiet by 8:00 we went to bed and left as early in the morning as we could.

Pool seemed in good repair. Facilities OK. Bathhouse was clean, but in need of updates and not in the best of locations.

This property is badly in need of an overall clean-up and facelift. Also, many very unfriendly full-timers. It is in a seemingly unsavory area with difficult access. Sites are small, dirty, and unkempt as well. Other than the staff member that assisted us on the phone, I, unfortunately, do not have any positive feedback on this property, which is sad as we typically love KOA campgrounds.

Traveling customers might benefit from having a laundry open later than 6 or 6:30 pm. Many travelers arrive in the late afternoon and leave early to continue their journey. The early closing time was not helpful. Otherwise the stay was good, check in orderly and the space good for our brief stay.

Clean and friendly, easy parking, nice dog park, laundry facilities, easy after hours check-in, adorable rates. Needed a sewer extension hose and a coupler. They had what I needed in the store, and the supplies weren't too expensive. Beautiful, well maintained park. We had a great experience there. 🥰😎

Out of the way Journey. Nothing too fancy. Even tho it's located in an industrial area, you don't even notice. Great if you are visiting the area and need a home base.
