It was great Love the band

Location & amenities were top notch, but I have never I countered such non-accommodating people! We requested a slot next to our travel companions by email & by phone (mo. before), never heard resolution or solutions. Arrived & was laughed at for asking to be near each other, no discussion. Staff throughout the park was rude about road space, trash, etc. plus construction when told it was done!

Friendly Staff, park is beautiful with foliage, the RV slip given was next to a building under construction, lot of noise, workers watching what we did, had to request a move to a better spot. Then the insects begin to attack, No See Ums and tiny spiders that caused my wife to go to Hospital for treatment of spider Bites. Tow vehicle broke down, park had no emergency plan and were forced to out.

Amazing, organized and super clean campground with plenty of activities to keep your families busy or if relaxation is on the agenda for the day, that also accommodating. Thank you for making our stay very pleasurable. We cannot wait for our return!

Completely rebuilt. Roads are asphalt surface with white rocks on each site. Neat and clean. Perfectly landscaped. Pool and bar: Great! My only negative was the effort involved in entry and exit to our site. We parked next to a path which had a flower bed on each side near the road making exit impossible with a big rig....our neighbors moved the rocks lining the bed so we could make the turn out.

No grill makes it very difficult to cook; a lot of no-see-ums got a lot of bites all over us. Maybe could use more pest control; hard cement campground neither comfortable or natural.

Best looking KOA we’ve ever been to very nice people loved it a lot

The perfect spot for our Keys vacation. Easy access to the channel for SUPing, approx 1 ml across so a slight challenge without being overwhelming and canals on the other side to explore so paddling was perfect! The campground was pristine! All sites level, landscaping is impeccable, all buildings spotlessly clean, staff super friendly & great, 30" to Key West. We would definitely go back

Amazing rebuild! We travel full-time and stay primarily at KOAs... hands down the #1 KOA or camp ground in general. Wifi is perfect and each site has it's own box essentially. We didn't use the pool or that area, but it looked resort quality. Just a cool spot and not cheap, but worth it. 34 min to Key West.

Very clean facilities. Only request is a real grass area for our k9 friends. The artificial turf is ok but holds urine smells so kind of offensive while waiting for our pup to do his business. But overall a wonderful place and we will visit again.

Great

Sites are beautiful but a bit too narrow.

Sugarloaf KOA is a beautiful campground to stay at..the sites are very roomy. Ocean access was less than expected compared to other resorts in the Keys and the no see ums were terrible. I literally look like I have chicken pox. So if you go make sure you have no see um spray. Staff was very friendly & the food was amazing. Also the pool area with the Hammocks and games is a nice touch.

Best KOA we have been to. Brand new and beautiful. Great staff too!

very clean, nice sites, big and enough place.

The campground was beautifully landscaped, nicely paved. Beautiful pool and common area. Very nice bar and restaurant on site. Easy water access for the sites on the water. Close to Key West, only a 25 minute drive. Staff Barb and Robin were VERY nice. Bartender Cheryl was awesome, nice and friendly. My only drawback was not about the resort. It was that people did not pick up after their pets.

Very unhappy! Booked and paid for a waterfront site and arrived to a site completely blocked by mangroves. Management couldn't have cared less about resolving the problem because they were already sold out and corp KOA didn't care either. We were at their mercy because it was busy season when there is zero availability elsewhere so we couldn't even leave. See TripAdvisor for full review w/pics. :(

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially Steve and Night shift Tony. The grounds are absolutely stunning and the pool/spa and pub were great. We have already recommended it to 3 people since we left and booked a site for the fall. great experience!

The property is amazing. All of the staff were amazing and went above and beyond except who they all referred to as "Grumpy" Tony. I heard about him at the pool and witnessed him being very unprofessional to others that were in the hot tub past 9pm. He did not ask them to get out, he threatened to call the sheriff on them for no reason. I also witnessed him yelling at someone trying to back in.

Beautiful campground. Friendly staff and so clean.

Outstanding KOA. Beautifully landscaped sites with plenty of room. The first KOA I've been at that has a full-service bar at the pool. We are already planning our return. The restroom and laundry room were spotless.

One of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. It was full and still quiet. The sites are well maintained and everything still looks new.

Pleasantly surprised!! We’ll be back

The resort is going to be beautiful once all of the construction is completed. However, I did have an issue that I reserved a pull thru, paver/patio site and somehow I was put in a pull thru, no paver, extremely tight corner spot (4001) right next to the construction. I had to back in because of construction. No one from KOA told me they were changing the site to a lower class. Unhappy about that.

Beautiful facility. Unfortunately, the gentleman with the cane who directed us to our site was rude and offered a very poor first impression. Highly recommend you switch him to a position with less interaction with guests. Other guests shared with us a similar experience. Everyone deserves an opportunity to change and improve.

It looks like the camp was recently rebuilt due to severe storm damage. The end result, however, is spectacular. This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in anywhere. The landscaping is breath-taking. The architectural rocks along the edges of each site are wonderful. The paved paths with brick are great. The club house and pool feel every bit a resort which we don't really see other places. It is clean, quiet and beautifully maintained. The overall rating reflects old news. I believe if averaged today it is more like 9-10 than in the 7's. Quite a campground. Spaces are roomy and flat. Picnic table and fire pit. Some shade but mostly open. Utilities perfect. Electric 119-121V. Two sewer connections. Paved interior roads. Pristine. Quiet. Service high. Streaming internet (!) incredible (lots of local access points). Beautiful cable with dozens of channels. Alas, $186 is incredibly high but it was full and we were there...... Key West is 20 miles west. We camped at Sugarloaf Key / Key West KOA Holiday in a Motorhome. Dry Tortugas National Park can be a half or all day trip. Flight is 35 minutes, ferry is just under 3 hours. There is also a lot in Key West itself which is 20 miles.
