The campsite is so beautiful. The location to everything is amazing. I tent camped and the sight is nice and so close to remodeled sparkling clean bathrooms. The staff was super nice, especially Ms. Donna and her husband. I rented the 17' boat and had a nice time cruising up and down the shore. The pontoon boats are brand new and I would take them next time. Lovely campsite!

Can not say enough positive things about our stay. All the staff were great. Steve and Buba went out of their way to assist us. I have already booked two more stays. Thanks for making us feel at home.

Gardeners moved our personal property and worked on our lot while we were trying to enjoy our vacation. Their boss was rude and when asked to move his workers to the many empty sites he could do stayed I have a job to do and was rude as could be. No one did anything and there is no one higher up to reach out to, terrible customer service!!! Expected more out of KOA!

We found Sugarloaf KOA back in 1998 and have stayed there for many years. Its brand new and up to date very nice the folks working there were very helpful the marina is great . Can't wait to go back

Extremely nice staff, beautiful grounds, pool, bar area & clean restrooms. Great place to kayak along the mangroves. Downsides are you must drive several miles for groceries/restaurants. The beach hasn’t had activity in the water for years (Erma) so there is a lot of seaweed growth & the water is very shallow. If you like to stay at the campgrounds most of the time this is the place to be.

dos semanas antes lo pasamos muy bien, pero en esta ultima no fue asi. Segun el sitio de internet estaba lleno, no habia casi lugares cuando reserve y o sorpresa, no llegaban a 10 rv en el lugar, quise que me cambiaran a otro lugar y me dijeron que no se podia, estabamos muy estrechos alli. La playa no existe es asquerosa. No fue bien esta estadia

The staff was super friendly. We went over to the tiki hut, talk with Tina. We shared some boiled peanuts. � The lot 807 had awesome wifi and beautiful landscaping. The bait house was totally stocked with everything you need. Very nice pontoon boat rentals. I would definitely go there again.

Rented a tent site. This KOA is new and still under construction. Very, very clean and staff was friendly and talkative!! Construction started at 7:15 AM right next to my camp. I think they should wait to start banging and hammering until 8 or 9, but I let it go. I will stay there again.

It is beautiful and nice staff …that being said…be prepared the no seeums have overtaken the park. We were not prepared, maybe tell us at check in or give option of purchasing no seeum spray, it could have made a big difference. BELIEVE ME they ate us up.I went down to Walgreens spent $50 on anti itch …but it really didn’t help. DO prevention.Normal internet issue..cafe not open..small

Absolutely loved our stay here. The staff is fantastic, the grounds are gorgeous and it’s more like a resort than just a campground.

We had a wonderful stay. The facility looked amazing with all the new work that has been done. My only complaint would be that we rented a boat for the day (8 hours) & returned over 2 hours early because we ran out of gas. We got no discount or anything other than a shoulder shrug. If we pay for the day, the gas tank should hold more gas for the 8 hours allotted. We won't rent a boat next time.

Super great place! All staff members we encountered were very helpful and friendly while the entire campground was always clean. We have been disappointed with several of the KOA’s we have stayed at, but this one is a thumbs up all the way. Barbara and Steve were top notch.

This place was nice before Irma, but now it's outstanding . Everyone working here is top notch. We were 1 day before booking 2 more weeks next year. If we didn't have other reservations we would stay longer.

This KOA was rebuilt after a hurricane, and they have done a first-class job rebuilding it. The RV sites are in perfect condition. All of the amenities are excellent.

The location was beautiful. All members of their team were extremely kind and informative. Chino from the marina was super helpful with all questions. Friendly, clean and peaceful campsite. We are definitely going back.

Our 2nd trip down since the re-opening and once again it was a great trip. As before, the entire staff is amazing, Barbara, Steve & Bubba, Cheryl & Kim, the 2 couples at the marina - all do such a great job. The resort is looking great! Looking forward to our October trip!

I assume the Sugarloaf KOA is the flag ship of all KOA’s. Just an awesome facility with outstanding amenities. We stayed a week at an ocean side site. Couple trailers from the beach and it was nice to head there in the morning, kick back in a chase lounge and watch the sunrise. Traveled from Upstate NY. Sewer hookup was high for my trailer, probably because floodplain regulations. Two Thumbs Up

Exceptionally clean, courteous, and attentive!! Not sure what the campground was like before Hurricane Irma, but the way it looks now is super impressive and the staff is awesome. From my first call, to calls I made before inquiring about rentals, etc., was so professional. The fact that they had a full bar with happy hour was a sweet surprise and Cheryl, our bartender, was the absolute best!!

It looks like the camp was recently rebuilt due to severe storm damage. The end result, however, is spectacular. This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in anywhere. The landscaping is breath-taking. The architectural rocks along the edges of each site are wonderful. The paved paths with brick are great. The club house and pool feel every bit a resort which we don't really see other places. It is clean, quiet and beautifully maintained. The overall rating reflects old news. I believe if averaged today it is more like 9-10 than in the 7's. Quite a campground. Spaces are roomy and flat. Picnic table and fire pit. Some shade but mostly open. Utilities perfect. Electric 119-121V. Two sewer connections. Paved interior roads. Pristine. Quiet. Service high. Streaming internet (!) incredible (lots of local access points). Beautiful cable with dozens of channels. Alas, $186 is incredibly high but it was full and we were there...... Key West is 20 miles west. We camped at Sugarloaf Key / Key West KOA Holiday in a Motorhome. Dry Tortugas National Park can be a half or all day trip. Flight is 35 minutes, ferry is just under 3 hours. There is also a lot in Key West itself which is 20 miles.
