No playground, no activities, store closes super early, way overly priced drinks...this campground is not what it used to be. The landscaping us pretty but obviously designed by someone who has never owned an RV. We won't be back, unfortunately. For the amount of money they charge, there should be more to do.

There has been a complete makeover to this park. Specious slips that are paved and well landscaped. The location is great located only seventeen miles from Key West. This park has ecerything.

Sites are way too tight. The landscaping and rocks around our site prevented us from being able to access our bay doors on the driver’s side. Our steps opened to rocks and plants, making us have to enter and exit our unit on the side of the steps. We were never able to use the pool because there are not enough chairs and the pool is not large enough for the number of sites. Won’t be back!

We loved our stay. The sites are spacious and beautifully landscape at each site. The pool and bar area was so nice. The food prices were reasonable. We plan on camping again.

Everything during our week stay was excellent. The only complaint however was that there are not enough chaise lounges at the pool. People are always jockeying to get one and many times they come at 8 a.m. and put towels on several chairs which is extremely unfair to everyone else. The bar, pool, kayaks, hot tub, were excellent and especially the wonderful people you have on the staff.

The grounds are beautiful! Sites are good sized. Wish there were more activities such as Bingo. A week is about right length of stay any longer and we would be bored. We are beyond the age of basking in the sun by the pool and you can only do Key West so many times. A "Holiday" needs special events. Contests etc. Im sure this will improve with time. Been coming to this Koa for a couple of decades before hurricane. Love the new look. The landscaping is gorgeous. Hope it stays that way. Drinks are to high in bar. That kept me away from there. Also did not like to hear they took reservations over a year. Other campgrounds don’t allow it. . Concerned about new suites that are being built too. Too close to some sites. Parking?

I hesitate to call it a campground. It is a resort. Laura, Barb, Bubba, Steve and all the staff really go out of their way to meet your every need. Laura is a knowledge, personable, passionate team leader that makes it look like the place runs its self, all the while making each guest feel like they are in paradise. It is very clean, good site size wonderful heated pool, pricey, but worth it.

Beautiful new campground. Wifi and cable TV were excellent. All camp staff were friendly and helpful. Too bad it has become so difficult to make reservations.

We have not been to a KOA resort before, and this one was gorgeous. I heard everything was redone after the hurricane, so everything was top-notch from the pool, hot tub, laundry, bathhouse, beach, rentals, and full bar. Campsites are tight, but that would not sway us from coming back. All foliage is new, so not a lot of shade, but it is beautiful and well done.

Fantastic and beautiful! Everything about Sugarloaf Key KOA was outstanding. We look forward to going back next year. We’re sorry you needed to deal with the aftermath of the hurricane, but the end result is beautiful.

Love this campground, absolutely in the top five of all campgrounds we have stayed at. The staff are helpful, the sites are well maintained and they have excellent wifi, which is rare.20 minutes from Key West and right across the street from Mangrove Mama's, a very nice hang. Good food and music.

Our stay was excellent! We will surely return. One suggestion would be more chaise lounges in the pool area. People are josling for them and putting towels on them early in the morning. Also reiterate (to kids) NO SPLASHING in the hot tub. That is an issue. Your staff is excellent, bathrooms are fantastic, water (and pressure) is great. VERY NICE FACILITY!!! �����

We stayed 4 weeks and the place is beautiful and the staff is friendly, professional and helpful. The pool area is very nice and the mornings sitting in the giant hot tub were great. Easy launch for kayaks and lots of places for bike rides. Fishing off the bridge is a short bike ride, long walk, or you can drive the 1/2 mile and fish. But be warned the fish like to steal your bait. Book early.

Site 1019 was fine, except one of the rocks on the left side of the coach was high, not allowing my coach basement door to open. I noticed the coach on site 1018 had the same issue, and he couldn't get into his wet bay. Make sure the rocks bordering the sites are low enough to accommodate motorcoach basement doors.

Awesome place to stay. Sites were well maintained. On site bar, pool and outdoor lounge area. Bartenders crafted delicious frozen drinks and provided us with local information about the keys. Shower and bathroom facilities were very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Book your stay early! We were lucky enough to fill a cancellation.

We loved our week stay. Campground is really nice with landscaping and all gravel campsites with a brick patio. Roads are paved with blacktop. Pool and bar area are fantastic. Campsites are spacious. We made reservations for next year.

I loved the pool and hot tub. The hot tub is big! I’m surprised how warm the pool felt considering how big it was. There was guitar players for entertainment. The bar is very nice and tasty. The campground is quite snd the beach area is great. We didn’t rent kayaks but would it we were there longer.

It looks like the camp was recently rebuilt due to severe storm damage. The end result, however, is spectacular. This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in anywhere. The landscaping is breath-taking. The architectural rocks along the edges of each site are wonderful. The paved paths with brick are great. The club house and pool feel every bit a resort which we don't really see other places. It is clean, quiet and beautifully maintained. The overall rating reflects old news. I believe if averaged today it is more like 9-10 than in the 7's. Quite a campground. Spaces are roomy and flat. Picnic table and fire pit. Some shade but mostly open. Utilities perfect. Electric 119-121V. Two sewer connections. Paved interior roads. Pristine. Quiet. Service high. Streaming internet (!) incredible (lots of local access points). Beautiful cable with dozens of channels. Alas, $186 is incredibly high but it was full and we were there...... Key West is 20 miles west. We camped at Sugarloaf Key / Key West KOA Holiday in a Motorhome. Dry Tortugas National Park can be a half or all day trip. Flight is 35 minutes, ferry is just under 3 hours. There is also a lot in Key West itself which is 20 miles.
