The only difference between this KOA and a truck stop are the hook ups No store The owner checked me in by phone because there is not a formal reception. He needs to go visit other KOA and see how it’s done.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The overwhelming majority of guests love that we register them and direct them to their site without having to stop at the office. We are in the center of Texarkana,3 grocery stores 5 minutes from the campground. The comparison to a truck stop is without merit. All sites occupied Holiday weekend.

Two phone calls to move me around at the campground to accommodate others, then I arrive with someone in my spot and no one around or paperwork to show the site assignment, go to another vacant spot to set-up for our supper, but after setting up have to tear down and move to a different spot because the extra long rig showed up, AND charged an extra $4 over my initial reservation for all of that.

It is a very nice campground, we will definitely be coming back! Would highly recommend!

Liked everything about your park except the highway( TRUCK) noise. Loud traffic noise at times.

This koa is on the highway with significant road noise. Check in was by phone call by the park while we were on the road. We never received the rest room/shore entry codes. We were notified by email that we never received. However the park was clean, convenient access and briefly spoke with the friendly manager.

Sites are poorly marked for location in limited light. Site was not level. Park is clean and well maintained. Advance check in was a positive.

The person in the office was very rude. The campsite was not up to KOA standards. I did not feel welcome or safe Will not visit this site again

It was a quaint small park and everything was clean. Only issue was the noise from the highway traffic. Our space was real close to the access road for highway. VERY hard to sleep ( even with a/c on), due to noise. Only stayed one night so did not use any amenities but it had a small pool and laundry. And trash cans were spaced nicely throughout the park.

We stayed two nights while passing through. The campground was beautiful and well maintained. The only reason for the four star rating was my site was not very level. Other sites were much better. We will stay here again if we are passing through.

Parked in back of park. Yes it was a big lot but we were surrounded by full time tenants I. Junky surroundings. The tenant just outside our bedroom window has a large fog that he tied out each morning for over an hr each time. The barking was continual at 9 am. That was early for us since traffic ran through the park on a continual basis at night. The highway traffic was very noticeable .

The only issue we had was the cable didn't work. No worries though...over the air TV was very good. Road noise wasn't an issue for us, but, those that are bothered by road noise might want to look elsewhere.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The web site specifies we don't offer cable tv, and we apparantly didn't have the chance to tell you when you checked in. When the cable company went digital 6 years ago that change required a digital box provided by cable company. We stopped issuing and retriving boxes, the process was problematic.

Everything was up to KOA standards. Clean facilties, clean grounds, very friendly helpful staff however I have 2 issues. One is location. I understand easy on/easy off but if your camping in the first few rows, the traffic noise is horrible. The 2nd issue is no camp store. Sometimes people need little things. First KOA I ever stayed at that didn't have a store.

Short overnight stay. Great access from I30. Over the phone registration prior to arrival. Full hookups. Clean restrooms and laundry. All that I needed. KOA Journey isn’t about multiple amenities, it’s about convenience.

Outstanding! A bit on the noisy side but what do you expect when it’s easy to access on and off the interstate! Spotless laundry/bathhouse — you could eat off any surface! Genuinely friendly and helpful staff!

We liked the fact that your office stayed open after 4pm. The one in Texarkana closes at 4. So you get there before or call and reserve before 4. We got there and someone else was in our site. When called to ask what to do. Their response was we'll call you in the morning when we open. Luckily the handy man was there to help us out.

Convenient on and off the expressway, however site was littered with cigarette butts, egg shells (large pieces) and bones from meat. Told management but nothing was done about it. Small playground, some equipment was broken

Quiet. Easy access. A bit hard to find if one is not used to the Texas freeway frontage road system (Siri couldn't figure it out!). The Park seemed very nice.

Quick and easy access from the interstate and we had a site down in the trees, fairly quiet. It was dark when we arrived but there was someone waiting for us and escorted us right to our site. We only stayed one night and were grateful for doordash. Safe and clean
