Absolutely love this campground!!! Not only are the owners fabulous, the grounds are spectacular. Everywhere u look is immaculately clean. Planted with beautiful flowers and landscaping gorgeous. Not only all that, but love watching how much fun the kids and their families are having with all the wonderful activities the Campground has planned.

Honestly I love this place. I tell everyone how amazing it is! Owners & staff are friendly & helpful. Everything is so nice & clean! It was a nice home away from home this season. Especially with everything going on and not a worry in the world because this campground is more sanitary & taken care of better then most 5 star hotels! Make sure you book a stay, you won’t regret it!

TV did not work. They came to fix it but TV reception was not good. The grounds were beautiful. Cabin was nice and clean as was the spacious campsite. I was able to after hours register about 5:30pm ( the office closed early). Had to let my husband in the gate ( he arrived around 7 pm). Firewood was wet and would not burn. Suggest you arrive early, bring your own firewood and enjoy this nice camp

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do not have cable at the campground. We only have streaming capability for Netflix or Hulu. After Labor day, we move to fall hours where our store closes at 5pm. If we know someone is coming in late, we can leave key cards/packets in the late night registration booth.

We had a great time. The camp ground is very clean and well kept. Staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is great...close to a lot of hiking trails and attractions, including many of the Ohio Wineries and Lake Erie. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you so much for such a nice camp ground and your great staff!

We stayed just for one night, but plan to stay more next year. Thompson KOA is the most beautiful place. Thank you so much. See you next year!

Overnighted. Had to detach from trailer to be in the pull through. Site was so tight extremely hard to get out. Next door campers said previous RV had a very difficult time. Campers had to help my husband with directions between campers and trees and hookups and tables and chairs. My husband is excellent with backing up. Thank goodness.

I'm not sure you have the right campground. The spot you stayed in at our campground is a 100ft pull thru with no trees at all.

We are Seasonal campers, and although this year was unusual due to COVID, we did enjoy getting away from home if only staying at our campsite.

We were upgraded to a Lakeside campsite, which was very nice and comfortable. The BBQ was a real plus.

Wow this place has it all for any family or couple. Has a western/country theme with water cool down options as well as two catch and release ponds. Rental boats, carts and more. Beautiful country atmosphere. Will definitely recommend this KOA accessable by well groomed gravel road.

It’s a very beautiful area. Very peaceful. The accommodations and the staff are great. We never want to leave. And always look forward to coming back.

Come on....Anyone that has ever stayed here will tell you that Don & Cheryl and crew go ALL OUT to make sure your stay is a good one. Practicing all the new rules and regulations to keep all safe they still are able to offer special events. We will be returning several times again next year (dates already booked) and can't wait to see the new updates that they continue to do.

The park was the best Koa we’ve been to in the four years of camping. Super clean and well kept. So picturesque and inviting. Attention to detail was amazing. We definitely plan on returning next year.

This was the best KOA I have ever stayed at! Beautiful setting, nice dog park (fenced), close to highway (but not too close) and friendly staff. Wish we could have stayed longer!

My last trip of the season, was a good one! The weather was a bit on the cool side, but a wonderful weekend nonetheless! Had a great site (loved the site-private dog run), got to hang out with old friends and meet/make new friends. And the Saturday night Band & Bonfire was awesome!! Thanks again to Don & Cheryl and the whole KOA team, you guys ROCK!!!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Had a Deluxe Cabin for 2 nights and it had many amenities included which made our packing much easier. Amenities aren't listed clearly on website. (Bedding,Towels, dishcloths,cups, plates,bowls,silverware, microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, toaster,(nostove),propane grill(they furnish propane,) dish soap, garbage bags, toilet paper, etc. Great kids park with a huge bouncing pillow. Large dog park! Swimming pool, ponds, beautiful views and landscaping. If you're into Halloween this place fills up and most everyone decorates their places! I guess it is a big deal for all ages! (We stayed Sept. 29-Oct1)
