We had one of the cabins and were very pleased. Our plans changed unexpectedly and the hosts were very accommodating. We will be coming back with the motor home!!

The owners of this KOA are extremely friendly and take pride in their campground. Every time we go there is always more and more added improvements and they are asset to the KOA family! So glad I have been able to stay here. The cabins are always clean and it's nice and quiet there. Look forward to many more stays there in Valdez :)

Planed on staying 2 days increased it to 4 days. Close to town yet campgrounds felt like you were camping. Beautiful scenery all around. Nice owners , very knowledgable about the area.I would give it a 5 star if they had sewer hook ups. City of Valdez is holding up their sewer permit so it wont be long before it is a 5 star operation. I camped in a 30 foot travel trailer and had plenty of room.

even though they are a new KOA, and doing some construction, the cabins we stayed in need a bigger hot water heater for the garden tubs they have installed. They were clean and comfortable. The price is very compatible to other cabins in the area. The campground manager was helpful and very courteous. The park was clean and the pond had ducks and small fish to watch, fire pits, and wood to burn.

I've stayed in other campgrounds in Valdez before and this one is awesome! It's not in downtown, but the atmosphere can't be beat. Your not in a cramped parking lot situation. Parking space is good, plenty of room for trailers. Room between neighbors. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Scenery is beautiful. It's a slice of Alaska!!

We ended up getting a hotel room because there was over an inch of standing water on our tent camping site and more rain coming down.

I would recommend these cabins to anyone. I also would like to recommend the mattresses and box springs be replaced. We have stayed here every summer for the last 5 years and loved it but the beds are worn out.

For the price we paid for a simple tent site it would have been nice to have the grass/plants mowed and a picnic table. We have paid less elsewhere for a nicer spot. Other than appearance our stay was nice. More bathrooms were being built which was definitely needed when campground is full.

Overpriced compared to other places we stayed in Alaska. The shower was broken and we had to fix it in order to use it.

Everything about this campground is great! From the owners, staff, hook-ups, amenities, and especially location! Even during a busy holiday weekend owners and staff did a fantastic job of going around to keep the place clean and stocked.

My granddaughter and I loved staying in the cabin at the campground. Super clean and comfortable, very friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely stay there again when in the area as opposed to a conventional motel.

Nice setting compared to many Alaskan campgrounds. Only problem we had was the cable. Spent quite a bit of time trying to get cable to work and finally called office-that is when we found out a box From office was needed!

Great camground with friendly staff, super clean bathrooms and the sites were large! We loved our time here as it was just parking lot style camping like so many others in the area. We had trees and grass and felt like being in the woods. We highly recommend this campground to anyone heading to Valdez!

The hosts were wonderful and helped us convert our second night from a tent site to a cabin. Cabins were very nice, fit a large family with some enginuity. Couldn't be more pleased. Lots of hard work evident in upgrades and improvements. Very friendly hosts. Will stay here again, summer or winter. Thanks so much for everything.

Loved staying here, quiet away from the crowds of downtown and the owners are great people! just a few suggestions to make it even better. Sewers at all the sites or could you provide portable containers so that people can drain there tanks without moving there trailers/RVs would be helpful! a few more washers and dryers and a little more weed whacking around the sites. Best place in Valdez!

Laverne is the sweetest. The grounds are well protected from the wind by the tall trees surrounding the place and scattered within. The mountains are world class beautiful. I needed a place for the whole season and they gave a good price. Unfortunately the sewer lines to the spaces wont be done for a couple months.

Great location, saw lots of wildlife while riding bike path to town. Owners were fantastic, friendliest we have met in our long trip.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the new Valdez KOA. Laverne and Tim are delightful hosts. Love the new office cabin. The property IS new, so the rating is based upon the fact of transition. Clean restrooms, but with only four toilets/2 showers, there did become a bit of a lineup at busy times. Few fire pits? We were disappointed at that. Perhaps add a playground in future? Thank you!

Having stayed at 10 different RV sites in the last two weeks this one I would say was good and easily accessible although our actual slot was not as wide as most others we experienced. Staff were very helpful

The owners are so friendly and helpful.We stayed in one of the cabins. The cabin was clean and had all we needed. It has a small fridge and microwave and a nice full bathroom. If you need a place to stay in Valdez I recommend this KOA!

Great cable tv and strong WiFi. Scenic out door setting. The feel of camping in the woods. Only issue no dump at the RV sites.

Great campground! We stay here each time we go to Valdez. Clean bathrooms and showers. Love having a washer and dryer to use if needed. Friendly owners.

Rented a cabin for two nights. Very warm and comfortable. Bed was soft. Saw other people BBQ on their front porch. Kids tent camped outside. Went on a nearby boat tour of the Glacier and had a wonderful experience. Saw whales, black bear, seals, sea lions. Definitely looking forward to coming back and will stay here again.

The cabin was adorable. We used it for 3 adults for 3 nights and we even tried to extend our stay because we were enjoying our time. The bed and the pull out mattress were comfortable. It was extremely clean. The shower was updated and nice and has great water pressure. I will be staying again!
