Campground Reviews

We were put in a site that was all dirt and the site was close to the Poopy Pouch area and the Garbage Dumpster Did not understand why because there were other sites available that we could of been given . Bathrooms were not in the best of shape also . I was under the impression that KOA’s were suppose to be very clean and very nice parks ,, Very Very disappointed

The staff here are great. They are friendly and very helpful. The pool was refreshing and cool on a hot day.

Brief but quiet. It’s a little dusty but that’s to be expected. Facilities were fine and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Quiet, attractive, easy access.

Nice park, lots of shade. The grass around the RV spots could use more watering. I understand there is a drought. Overall a very pleasant experience. Excellent staff and friendly.

Heather is awesome! Can’t wait to see her again!

Only place I could find between Sacramento and Inland Empire. Just be aware quiet hours are only til 6 a.m. People running the place were nice. Good for overnight. I wouldn't want to "camp" here.

It was an adventure fore sure! The only thing I would of loved was an indoor toilet. It's kinda tuff on us old folks. But all n all I really liked it. It's somewhere I'd actually like to work. It was a clean and extremely friendly environment. I'll toot your horn and will be back!! Thank you... Norma Sempert

It’s was a one night stay at this particular KOA. Nothing negative about this location. We were In and Out

Would recommend. Stayed 1 night while passing through. Clean, wide sites with some shade. Store onsite. Only drawback is slow or no internet. Was not a deal breaker for us but if you are staying longer or working out of your rig this may not be for you.

Always clean, we stop for a night when traveling to the south. Will stop again next week

Quiet little campground but neighborhood is a little rundown. Office staff was friendly and helpful. No locks on bathroom doors and outside people were using laundry areas at night.

The hosts were excellent. I stayed a week because I was an evacuee from a wildfire. I felt comfortable and safe. The park was clean and green. My dog enjoyed the dog park.

had an awesome stay! The employees there are great!

Does not look or behave like a KOA. Horrible park!

Very personable staff

We loved our cabin

Friendly staff, close to family ( why we stay there). We will stay again! Side note: This visit we were placed amongst the " live in" population, the other side is much more comfortable for those just staying a few day.

We had a full hookup site for a week. Our only interaction with staff was at check in and they were friendly. We used the pool, bathrooms and dog park. All amenities were well kept but nothing spectacular. We would stay again if passing through the area.

Great feel to this park. Wide spaces. Great people and trees. Only stayed a night on way home but definitely will return for a longer stay

Great location ...easy off and on to the freeway...but the park needs to be update and TLC...especially for the price..cable didn't

Un kept. Bathrooms are shared. Although clean, in bad condition. Grass not mowed. It's in the middle of a residential area, attracting homeless.

Very nice staff - All very accommodating. Some trees needed trimming in the pull-through sites - could not center my 5th wheel (13-02 height) in the center of the site due to overgrown trees on one side. Pool rules regarding kids do not seem to be enforced. Recreation facilities other than the pool were closed due to Covid. Propane service was good and price was reasonable.

Nice quiet place. Front desk lady was very nice.

Friendly staff. The wi-fi was poor and no cable tv!

We were there for BMX in Lemoore, we enjoyed the pool and showers. The facility is clean and served it’s purpose for us. It was a little loud at night from neighborhood noise, nothing in the campground specifically.

The KOA was full of permanent camps. Old run down trailers......there was a water leak and water was shut off. Our trailer was infested from ants (the trees were covered with them). Lots of loud traffic noise as this is NOT in the Sequoia National forest or anywhere near it. Its in a suburb of Visalia. We were very disappointed.

Surprised with half of California burning down, they allowed campfires. The trees were very dry. There was enough smoke in the air without adding to it. Camp sites were so close together that the neighbors fire pit was right next to me and I had to smell smoldering smoke all night.

Too close of campsites. Very loud during night. Office lady was very kind and helpful .

Very ran down, but not as Barstow KOA.

Overnight on way to L.A. Nice park with relatively spacious spaces. Good staff. This is second stay, so we'll stay again.

Nice place to stay, employees are very friendly and helpful. Will be coming back to stay.

The staff do a great job. We were treated well every step of the way. The location is quiet and close to most essential things. Just a short drive to Sequoia National Park.

Our stay was pleasant. The restrooms/showers need improving though. The door should have a code to get in and the shower doors need better locks. They don't latch very well.

The facility is not well maintained. The grass is not taken care of and is 50% dry. All the chairs and tables in the pool are full of dust and were not cleaned for a long time. Office hours are short.

A nice simple KOA. It is a good Journey KOA for a night or weekend stay. We were there for a week and it was super hot so we didn’t get outside much other than going to Sequoia one day and King’s canyon another which are both about an hour away. There is a pool but not much else to do at this campground but that’s what a journey KOA usually entails so we knew that coming in.

Staff is very friendly. Sites are level and most are pull throughs. Great location. Close to the Sequoia National Park entrance.

Make it clear on the directions to Kings Canyon, to stay with state hwy 63 thru the jog. How far on each roadway would be helpful.
Sep 15, 2021
The staff was friendly and campsite was clean but I just wished it would have been a better location.

First night ok but second night cabins k1 & k2 we’re very noisy late into the night, up to at least 11:30 pm. Horseshoe toss pit depicted on map but not well maintained or usable. Entire facility could use tlc and facelift.

Nice starting point to our journey. Nice staff and after hours check in and check out was super easy. Nice gravel level pull thru site we stayed at. Check the site for all the amenities they have its really a good price for what you get.
