This is the oldest and largest military aviation museum in the world. The Dayton Air Force Museum uses both chronological and subjective layouts to tell the exciting story of aviation development from the days of the Wright brothers at Kitty Hawk to the Space Age. Exhibits include over 300 aircraft and missiles, plus family-oriented and historically interesting aeronautical displays. Airstream factory tours are available Monday - Friday at 2:00 p.m. The production line mixes all sizes and models of Airstream, both trailers, and motorhomes. The work is done by hand. Little automation is used in the construction process. Airstream motorhomes have a fiberglass exterior, while all Airstream trailers are aluminum.
Named in honor of Neil Armstrong, first man to set foot on the moon, this museum in Wapakoneta chronicles Ohio's contributions to the history of space flight. Among the items on display are a F5D Sky Lancer, the Gemini VIII spacecraft, Apollo 11 artifacts and a moon rock. In the museum's Astro-theater, multimedia presentations of the sights and sounds of space unfold against a starry background.
Located on the banks of the Auglaize River, Fort Amanda served as a major supply depot during the war. A diary kept by Ensign William Schillinger of the Ohio militia gives us a daily account of weather conditions, activities at the fort and his personal thoughts and observations.

A popular tourist destination and member of the National Caving Association, it is the largest of all the cave systems in Ohio and contains many crystal formations including the largest stalactite in Ohio, The Crystal King. Only 54 minutes away (43 miles), visitors are conducted through the Caverns on guided tours through two different parts of the cavern..
A 51 minute (40 mile) drive takes you to the Piatt Castles ... two historic houses near West Liberty in Logan County, Ohio. The houses (the "Mac-O-Chee Castle" and the "Mac-A-Cheek Castle") were built by brothers Donn and Abram S. Piatt in the 1860s and 1870s, designed in a Gothic design. Guided 45 minute tours available. Separate admission fee charged at each castle. Free parking.

The Bicycle Museum of America is nestled inside the cozy city of New Bremen, Ohio. An extensive collection of bicycles and historical memorabilia is appropriately located in Ohio, which played an important part in the history of bicycles and air flight! It was in the Wright Brother's Bicycle Shop (Dayton, Ohio) where the first plans for air flight were born.
Wapakoneta is home to two great antique shops. Relics is a blend of antique and vintage items including a large selection of vintage clothing. Auglaize Antique Mall has 200 booths for you to shop! Whew!

Walking through the backyard of Jim Bowsher is like going through a maze of found art creations, sitting areas, and transplanted themed buildings, with all paths eventually winding their way to the Temple itself. Bowsher built his amazing Temple out of mainly stones but has peppered it with a pot-pourri of objects. The Temple is dedicated to peace and bringing people together in meaningful ways.....Whimsical, Playful and always Fascinating!
