I arrived at the Washington KOA on Sunday October 17th. The staff at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. And very informative about the area. I was escorted to my site. And found it to be spacious and free of debris. It was located close to restroom and garbage bins. It was a quiet wooded site with lots of large trees. Very happy with my choice to stay there and definitely would come back.

We stayed at this KOA twice in one trip; going to Maine and returning. The booking clerk is very polite, helpful and courteous. The location of the park is what is good. Some would say, "It's noisy, being located between two major highways." But we found it to be located in just the right place - super convenient. The fan in our RV seemed to drown out the truck noise and we slept great!

The turn to the campground off the Secondary road was a hard (110 degree) right turn down a very steep hill. A fellow camper at the campground said it was so narrow and steel that he could not make it with his tow vehicle attached! He had to disconnect his tow vehicle to make the turn! the campground was on a plateau with everything needed at a bottom of the hill. I did not stay and just left

I would have rated the campground much higher but the noise from the highway was loud enough for my husband to sleep with ear plugs. Clean facility, nice people and good sites

Pleasant staff, clean campground that appears to be growing. I would like to find some fun obstacles in the K9 area. Bathhouse was one of the cleanest, shower was user-friendly, warm water, multiple hooks, shelf and bench in a roomy stall. Reasonable W&D cost. Thank you KOA

Only stayed one night. Our campsite was not impressive. After getting set up noticed the tree next to us was dead and a strong wing could topple it on our rented rev. Grill was deteriorated and no way would I cook our food on it. The porch provided was not clean.

Other than the climb down to the Facilities this is a perfect campground. A short walk up and down is good for all of us! Clean, peaceful and remote. I would highly recommend this campground.

We stayed one night and didn't use any facilities other than our site. We had pull thru site #12 and it was reasonably level, very clean, and all of the utilities functioned properly. The campground is clean and attractive and they are adding more sites now.

Everyone at the campground was amazing! It truly is a family atmosphere where deer can be seen in the mornings and full moons magically rise from the far hills.

While the workers at this KOA were friendly and helpful, we had to leave a day early because of bugs in our cabin. We understand it's a wooded area, but we were disappointed with the amount of bugs in our cabin. This situation made our room feel unclean and we had to leave a day early. When I went to checkout the workers did not offer a refund or voucher to accommodate our shortened stay.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry there were stink bugs in your primitive rustic cabin in a wooded camping environment. This time of the year they are everywhere and not much can be done to get rid of them. Our property is managed from a pesticide company and cabins are cleaned daily.Perhaps camping is just not for you.

Access was trying due to road closure for the time we were there. Clean bath houses, hookups were decent, close in sites, good access to Pittsburgh as that was one of the reasons we booked. We travel in fifth wheel

Very courteous staff; most sites unlevel; only one washer of six operational; overrun with stink bugs; dog waste never emptied during our 6 day stay; still working on new sites which appeared the same one year ago. NOT KOA STANDARDS....

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We ordered new laundry machines a year ago,w/the GLOBAL appliance shortage,this is out of our hands. Stink bug invasions are everywhere,not much can be done. Our new site project was started early 2020,we too were effected by the worldwide pandemic and shut downs delaying their completion.

We love this place. Great people, clean location, and facilities. We have stayed at two other campgrounds before in the Pittsburgh area, and this is the one we will keep coming back to.

WE enjoyed a nice weekend stay in late September 2021 in a 5th wheel. Although our site could have been a little more level we were able to get set up and secure. The bathhouse although quite a walk was satisfactory for our needs. Although they indicate the bathhouse is cleaned daily, I would recommend a review of the thoroughness of the cleaning process.

Excellent KOA campground and facilities in extraordinary beautiful conditions. The roads leading to this KOA are narrow.

Place was on the side of a small mountain. The place over looks the interstate which is all you here all night long.truckers with Jake breaks. Bathrooms and showers inconveniently located part way down the hill. Road going in and out was narrow, long and winding.

I give the quality of the campground a 10 out of 10 rating. The glamping tent was nice, beds comfortable, and the fire pit and picnic table were fun. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was friendly and responsive. The only reason I gave the whole experience a 7 out of 10 is that the property is very close to interstate 79, and you can hear the trucks down shifting throughout the night. Otherwise great

Very dirty, bathrooms not clean neither fireplace not empty/clean picnic tables rotten wood uneven boards tabletops I have pictures of all of it darkroom doors code locks ect I've stayed 50 some years at koas and this koa hurts yr name of a koa campground please letmenoifyou want copy of pictures. Thank you sence then we stayed another koas was great thank you

Lovely campground—they’re adding even more new sites! The last few roads to get there are a bit tricky to maneuver in a camper.

Visiting from Ohio. Got in late Friday to a pull through site. Reservation was waiting by the entrance. Firewood cannot be purchased late which stunk, but poor planning on our part. Wifi did not work unfortunately.

We were a bit concerned about getting up the drive to get to this KOA after reading previous comments. We have a 30 ft travel trailer and had no issues whatsoever. We had a deluxe patio site which was nice but we did not get to use it due to heavy rainstorm. The bath house/ rest room facility was very clean. Only here one night but it was comfortable.

Just off the interstate, search for the correct exit, we took the longer hard way for our rig, but the nice lady at the front desk gave us great directions out. Nice clean park, good people and easy after hours access

Just like KOA website says, this is a KOA on a hill! If you aren't comfortable with hills and your camper you may want to find a different place but we enjoyed our spot - the view all around was great, the staff was super helpful. Our son used their small playground but we didn't get a chance to use the pool. This will be a place we come back when we come back to Washington, PA.
