Patio Hot Dogs and Beans

Ingredients

Makes 6

  • 1/4  c  chopped onion
  • 1  Tbsp  butter or margarine
  • 1  (1 lb. 14 oz.) can Hunt's Pork and Beans
  • 1  can Hunt's Manwich Sauce
  • 1  tsp  mustard
  • 10 - 12  hot dogs
  • 10 - 12  split hot dog buns

Preparation

Cook onion in butter in 10-inch skillet until onion is transparent. Add pork and beans, 1 cup Manwich sauce and mustard. Simmer, uncovered, at one edge of outdoor grill for 15 - 20 minutes. Meanwhile, score hot dogs three times diagonally with sharp knife. Grill 2 inches from hot coals; turn and baste often with remaining Manwich sauce. Toast buns and top with hot dogs and pork and beans.
