Presto Minestrone
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound(s) ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 c chopped onion
- 1 jar (15 1/2 ounce) spaghetti sauce
- 1 can small red beans (drained)
- 4 carrots (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 c celery
- 1/2 package (10 ounce) frozen green beans
- 1 1/2 c cabbage (coarsely chopped)
- 1/3 c water
Preparation
In large saucepan or Dutch oven, sauté ground beef, onion and celery. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer, covered for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Makes 2 quarts. This soup is as tasty as it is quick. The spaghetti sauce really saves work.
