The people we met in the office were very friendly and helpful. I asked about the best way to travel to Carlsbad, NM from there and the lady was knowledgeable about the roads. The site was clean and had a nice picnic table for us to use. They loaned us, as a courtesy, two round sleds and wax to use when we visited White Sands National Monument and we returned them before we left. Good place!

The pool hours day till dusk, but we got there and was yelled at by the staff saying it closes at 8 p.m. it does not say that anywhere. The spots are super narrow and hard to pull thru a camper because of the patio that include a brick wall and a sidewalk. It was easier to back in the trailer.

You are correct the pool sign says closes at dusk because there are no lights in the pool area. I used a loud voice because I was not very close to you and wanted to let you know why the gate was locked. Sorry it came across as yelling. Sorry you had trouble getting into your site

The sites were nice, ours had a tree which helped provide some shade. There were cement walls at most sites which helped with shade and privacy. The grounds and pool were clean, the staff were very nice and helpful.

We had a lovely stay! The campsite was clean & well laid out. The staff members were very helpful and kind. They went out of their way to make it a pleasant stay and answer any questions we had. The playground is old school, and my kids LOVED it. We also had a nice swim in the pool, which was clean and well maintained. All in all, a great stay! We would stay there again if in the area.

This is a centrally located clean park with great space between sites. We enjoyed our stay here!

This is and old campground. We travel with kids and the playground equipment is at least 50 years old (I am being kind) with hard packed sand. We could not eat outside because of all the flies. The neighbors had an electric bug zapper and it went “zap” every other second. The experience at this KOA is not up to what we expect from a KOA. We will look for something else next time in the area.

Sorry you didn't like our retro playground. As for the flies we have noticed more this year in our town, not just the campground, and not sure why.

They are a hour away from White sands. Wifi is weak as is the tv cable signal.

Not sure how you got to White Sands but we are only 20 miles so not sure why it took so long to get there. If you were having trouble with the wifi or tv I wish you would have let us know so we could have tried to fix it.

The staff were awesome, kept up, help up money having sand sled there to use. Firewood was nice dry, shower and restroom clean at all times A/C in restroom. Pool was kept up speed limit in park was uphold

Office staff was very friendly and helpful. They even loaned sleds for the white sands for free! The pool was clean and cool. My kids loved renting the pedal bikes (only $5). Great overnight stay!

The campground is amazing - very clean and well maintained campsites. Loved the pool and the game room for my grandkids! Friendly staff upon arrival and answered our questions and even escorted us to our campsite. Thanks for making our stay so wonderful!!

It was very easy to find, and very easy to check in, the staff is very friendly. The sites have ample room and it is a very clean park. In the middle of town somewhat, yet private enough to be able to relax and enjoy the sites and relax at night. The location made it easy to be close to all we wanted to see. We will return to this site in or future visits to Alamogordo for sure!!!

Very clean, Stayed for the Forth of July the fireworks display was great and they still maintained the quiet hours. Very beautiful place we will stay again.

Absolutely the most friendly KOA we have been to in the west! Lots of gravel to ofset the desert dust! Rest rooms and pool are very clean. They are fighting the desert with style. The owner is onsite and available. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Alamogordo KOA site. My daughters loved the play area/ swimming pool, Game room. The staff was very friendly. Few things to whine about are the quite hours are not followed by the neighboring sites. Trash is not picked up daily from the cans. The hand dryer was not working and there were no paper towels.

Campground was just as described with all the amenities. It was close to White Sands, which was the reason I booked in the first place. I would recommend to anyone visiting White Sands or any other attraction in Alamogordo.

It is an old park. No security, spaces are very small and cannot accommodate medium to large rigs. No trash pick up and only one dumpster.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

In 8 years of ownership, this is the first guest that managed to drive through a tree, over the sidewalk, and through a concrete picnic table. Me thinks it's not the site size, but perhaps the driver... And, there are two dumpsters - they just didn't see them like everything else they ran into.

This is a basic KOA that does basics very well. It's not going to knock your socks off but the internet is going to work, the pool is nice, the staff is friendly and helpful and the bathrooms will be clean. It's a bargain too.

Very clean and large tent site, with well-draining pad. It poured and thundered and our tent didn't get swamped. The game room was orderly and useful. Clean and well kept bathrooms. Good location. Highly recommend.

We stayed three nights here. A very clean and well maintained campground. Close to White Sands NM and the Missile Range. We enjoyed seeing both.

The facility is very clean and the staff is extremely nice. My only complaint is that it needs more trees and grass.

Thanks for staying with us. We too would like to have more grass and trees but sometimes it is hard to keep them alive in this hot dry climate.

All of our interactions with their staff were incredible. They went above and beyond in customer service. Ellen was so kind and let us know early when our space was available. The park is well-maintained and the spaces are large and roomy making you feel like you have some elbow room Will return !

Easy reservations and plenty of room to maneuver the rig. The store is quite nice, the sweet lady really helped us figure out a late night food plan :) Dog friendly too
