I have stayed at this KOA several times in the past. I recommend this park VERY highly. If I am even CLOSE to Alamogordo, NM I will stay here again. GREAT job Kelly and Sandy

The staff is friendly and helpful. They have sleds to borrow for sledding at white sands. Facilities are clean and maintained.

From the registration to the day we left it was a great experience. Registration was great. We had booked on line and they had our site ready and directions to it were simple and clear. The lots were big enough to get into without issues and the lay out was nice. I would have put the picnic table closer to the tree for shade rather than across the site over by the fire pit.

Overall experience ok. Showers and bathrooms were good. It's a compact city location. Ok for a stopover but not scenic or attractive.

Absolutely wonderful in every way !! Grounds and sites were clean and very well kept. Staff was helpful and polite. We highly recommend this KOA. Looking forward to staying again :)

Really nice park with very friendly staff. Great dog run area. This was the first time we stayed at a site without a sewer outlet but the dump station was easy to use on our way out. We enjoyed our stay.

Not to many trains went by. Clean bathrooms. Nice Gift shop~! Friendly staff

They have several spots that don't have sewer hookups. They are there, but have been covered up and been out of service for a while. Although they have a central dump station, if you were staying for an extended time that would get old unhooking to go and dump and hooking back up. Wonder why they haven't repaired the system at those pads.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

To help explain the non sewer sites there are only 4 sites that have trouble and those sites are only used in emergencies for folks. There are 4 that were built that way due to the slope of the land. We would not put someone in one of those sites for a long period of time.

Staff was helpful and friendly, site was clean and well kept. Facilities were in good working order and we had no issues. Only issue was a barking dog off property, which is beyond the control of the campground and we recognize that. Enjoyed our stay and recommend the campground.

Quiet except for the train that will go by at 6am. If you have a dog there are a couple of nice grassy areas for your pet - but not the designated Dog Park.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent store at front office. Beautiful environment! Clean, quiet, and sizeable campsites. We will definitely be back. Also, great location to visit surrounding tourist attractions.

The Alamo KOA is a very pleasant place to stay! The sites are well maintained, so clean and nice. The privacy walls make it seem like you have truly individual areas. The public areas are also very clean and maintained. We only used the bathroom facility. We visited White Sands and they had sleds for us to borrow. We will definitely make this KOA our destination when we visit the Alamogordo area.

Nice KOA with long, level sites and nice separation between sites. Our patio site was probably the longest and widest site we have ever had - plenty big for our 45 ft motorhome towing a Jeep. The park was easy to get to, site had easy access, and hoop-ups were good. Close to White Sands National Park and only half an hour from Three Rivers Petroglyph site. Lots of stores and restaurants close by.

All of our interactions with their staff were incredible. They went above and beyond in customer service. Ellen was so kind and let us know early when our space was available. The park is well-maintained and the spaces are large and roomy making you feel like you have some elbow room Will return !

Easy reservations and plenty of room to maneuver the rig. The store is quite nice, the sweet lady really helped us figure out a late night food plan :) Dog friendly too
