Major Festivals & Annual Events

  • Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival (September 3 - 14):This is the premier cultural event of the season, attracting nationally and internationally acclaimed artists. The 12-day festival features over 50 art-related events, including gallery walks, exhibitions, auctions, and demonstrations.
    • Palates & Palettes Gallery Walk (September 5): Dozens of galleries open their doors for an evening event with food and drinks.
    • Western Visions Show + Sale (September 11): A major fundraiser for the National Museum of Wildlife Art, featuring work from top contemporary wildlife artists.
    • QuickDraw & Auction (September 13): Watch artists create a piece of art in a short amount of time before it is auctioned off.
    • Sunday Art Brunch Gallery Walk (September 14): A closing celebration with brunch and beverages at participating galleries.
  • Horseshoe Music Festival (September 11 - 14): This multi-day music festival at the Teton County Fairgrounds features Americana, blues, and other genres with a mix of local and touring artists.
  • Oktoberfest (September 20): A new tradition at Teton Village, this inaugural event will bring Bavarian cheer with live music, beer gardens, traditional German food, and games.
  • Jackson Hole One Fly Contest (September 4 - 7): A three-day fly-fishing competition.
  • Old Bill's Fun Run for Charities (through September 12): This annual giving season helps raise funds for local nonprofits.
  • LOTOJA (September 6): The 43rd annual bike race from Logan, Utah, to Teton Village, Wyoming.

Music & Entertainment

  • Rainbow Kitten Surprise (September 3): This concert is part of the King Concert Series at the summit of Snow King Mountain.
  • Reggae in the Rockies (September 5 - 6): This event at the Alpine 4-H Ranch features Tribal Seeds & The Movement, Kbong, and Johnny Cosmic.
  • Bach and Blues (September 25): Jackson Hole Chamber Music and the Center for the Arts present an intimate classical and jazz performance.
  • The Hootenanny: A long-standing local tradition, this informal music gathering takes place every Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Dornans in Moose.
  • Stagecoach Band: This band has been a Sunday night favorite at the Stagecoach Bar since 1969.
  • Live music at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar: The historic bar hosts live music every Monday through Saturday night.
  • Live music at the Silver Dollar Showroom: Located in the Wort Hotel, this venue hosts live music every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night.

  • "The Ballad of Cat Ballou" at the Jackson Hole Playhouse: Jackson Hole's only dinner theater presents its summer musical Monday through Saturday.
  • Avian Experience at Teton Raptor Center: Meet birds of prey on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 2 p.m.
