staff were terrific and the campground was nice.....but who would put a KOA that close to the highway and be subject to semi's jake breaking and bouncing over not sure what all night!!! we had the windows closed as it was cold and it was still awful, can't imagine what it would have been like if we had them open which at that elevation should be an option for a lot of the year won't be back :(

Non eventful, at least they were open in early March. The staff was friendly and our full hookup patio site was clean and maintained. Good Wifi.

The owners and operators of this campground were very friendly and clearly took pride in the upkeep of the grounds. Bathroom facilities were clean and very well maintained. The campground is near the highway (I-40) for travelers but the downside is the traffic noise.

This was a quick overnight stay but the campground told me that DiMaggio's was close by. 5 miles away in Canton - easy to avoid traffic - and amazing Italian food. Pizza, stomboli etc but also great Italian dinners. I had Veal with eggplant parmiagna , spag & salad for $16.95. A glass of Chianti was $6.50. Close, reasonable and excellent!

Very nice campground and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only drawback with this campground was the interstate road noise.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable, but as others have mentioned the road noise is so loud it’s disruptive. I thought the rate we paid was too high.

Lovely wooded campground great for Asheville visits or overnight stop while traveling. Friendly check in then we were escorted to our site AND he helped us park! Bathrooms were very clean. Close to the highway but the noise was minimal.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The upper area does have interstate noise, but we were moved to a lower area where we barely noticed traffic noise. Internet was spotty. Would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed the area and how clean the entire campground was. I didn’t use them but they did have earplugs available at the check in counter since the campground is so close to the interstate. Fire pits were great!

We stayed in the B area, and the entrance was one rain away from a wash out. The sites all had large gravel that was painful and treacherous to walk on. Other than that it is a nice well run park. Paving would make it a 10+ in our book.

The drives and RV sites are in need of gravel. We were constantly tracking dirt/mud into our coach. Areas between sites are bare soil. Needs gravel on all roads and RV pads and mulch between sites. This campground is not up to what we expect from a KOA.

Our site, the premium pull through site, was phenomenal. The concrete pad kept dirt out of our fifth wheel and the table, fire pit and gas grill were very convenient. There are awesome walking trails around the campground. Staff was very helpful, as we apparently had a defective cable wire. We bought a new one there and cable worked fine. Only cons: Internet was spotty and some road noise.

Cabins are clean with super comfortable mattresses. Cabin porches will keep your gear dry when rainy. Super helpful and friendly staff. This was our second stay and we will be back again.

The Camp is nice, and we would stay there again no problem. Staff is friendly and always helpful, and park is very clean. We were staying in the lower area camp at the end of February (2022)

It was our very first time RV camping and the staff was really accommodating and helpful. They went so far as to lend us their hairdryer when we made a rookie mistake and did not unhook our water hose in the freeze! Then later a can opener so we could enjoy our baked beans, which were delicious and smokey on a camp fire!

Everyone who works here is so nice and accommodating. I was immediately made to feel right at home (thank you for the dog treat upon checkin!). I also really loved the trash pickup service. The bathrooms were SO nice and clean. And i loved the trails around the property! My only wish was for a bigger dog area and for it to have more grass and less dirt/mud.

Thank you for your feedback. We just had about a foot of snow melt within the past few days due to the heat and rain so unfortunately the mud was unavoidable. Sites maintenance cannot be done during these conditions but will be addressed as weather gets better. Safe travels and hope to see you soon!

We stayed for a couple of months while we were exploring the area. The staff are incredibly nice. Additionally, the campground is very clean, including the laundry facilities, showers and restrooms. We really appreciated the trash pickup at our site every morning and that they also pick up, fill, and return your propane tanks. Dog park, hiking trails, and pool are a bonus!

One of the main complaints I have was if you are open year round I shouldn’t have to unhook my water line at night so your hydrant doesn’t freeze left a day early because of it. Otherwise looked like a nice campground.

Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. During the winter months it gets below freezing quite often here in the mountains. When the water hose is connected it not only freezes our hydrant, but it also can freeze and damage your rig as well. Unhooking is the best way to avoid both.
