This was my first camping experience. Didn’t know what to expect but when entering and going through the short check in I felt comfortable. Clean and organized. My motor home had an issue with the e-brake. The owner managed to get it to release. I will be staying again throughout this next year when visiting the area again.

The sites were terrible. Unlevel and backed up to the road. Very crammed in.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store and laundry were very clean as were other facilities. However, the grounds were just gravel and no lighting at night. We dealt with the highway noise because it was winter but would not want to deal with that noise in the summer. Although, it was a good location to visit Asheville.

We love this KOA! The staff are always friendly and accommodating, and go out of their way to assist with anything we have ever needed. When we're planning a trip to WNC, KOA is our first go-to when reserving a space for our RV — KOA's the best in WNC!

I was there for a week through Thanksgiving. The location was perfect about 20 minutes from Downtown Asheville. My dogs and I loved the dog park and trails around the campground. The sites themselves were a nice size and lots of space between the other campers. The entire staff there was awesome and very helpful. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Love the campground and the location. Beautiful Mountain views with numerous trails for hiking. Great staff too. This was our third time at this KOA and highly recommend them.

It was very clean, and nice. A little too close to the highway but if we had been in a camper it wouldn't have bothered us. Super friendly staff, everything you need. Will stay again.

Stopped for an overnight stay while traveling thru the area. So we didn’t stay long. But, it is a woodsy mountain campground. Not as manicured as some KOA campgrounds. It met our needs.

A really great campground near Asheville. Bathrooms were clean & staff was very helpful & friendly. We were in a back row & really loved how the sites were angled so we looked from our windows to the forest rather than at our neighbors rig.

The campground is pretty, very nice sites, super clean restrooms. The staff was very friendly and so helpful. The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is due to the intense road noise from I-40. The roar of tractor trailers hitting the rumble strips, etc. on the road, and the downshifting on the incline never stopped day or night. We had to go out and purchase foam earplugs so we could sleep.

It was just an overnight stay, we had hoped to stay a few nights but a prediction of an overnight freeze and cloudy rainy weather changed our mind. We will not hesitate to return, friendly, helpful staff, very clean restrooms and showers. and a good area to walk our 2 small dogs… perfect!

We had a very good reception at the desk and no problems at all with our site. The fellow got propane for us on his golf cart and brought it back to our RV.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom/shower was clean, quick hot water. Beautiful setting. The only reason I rated it a 4 and not a 5 was because of the interstate noise near one end of the campground. It was a complete non-issue for me because I was far enough away and not really bothered by the noise. Being located near an interstate with easy access was actually a positive.

Some things are not able to be changed. The location right next to rt 40 was noisy, but they did offer ear plugs. We didn't mind the road noise. Trails were a nice feature. The staff was friendly, but staffing problems meant that propane wasn't available until 1:00. Checkout was 11:00 = no propane on the way out. Get propane coming in.
