We traveled without a car and was disappointed that it would be $100/day for us to get to Acadia/Bar Harbor. I understand the island shuttle was still limited this year, but had we known that it would be more for transportation than for camping itself, we would have made different plans.

My kids loved this campground; close to Acadia, and great amenities for them to enjoy a day at the campground. Friendly, helpful staff, who would deliver needed items to your site after a long day. Great lobster at the airstream turned food truck. Parents and kids both give 10 out of 10!

People are very impersonal and unhelpful. We rented one of their campers. The air made a noise, the floor squeeked and it was dreary. There were not enough linens. I spent the week before at Skowhegan and it was much much better.

Great property. Only but bog complaint is how dirty the bathrooms were for my entire 5 night stay. I have stayed at a few other KOA sites and I know they get heavy use and you can’t expect perfection. These bathrooms were truly dirty and uncared for. Maybe it’s hard to hire help. But maybe spend some of the considerable money you are collecting to offer a higher wage.

We booked a specific site the day before, arrived at 8pm at checkin and where told that due to the rain we had to be moved … now we got the only site that was under water and drenched … all other sites, incl our prebooked was dried up by then … it seemed someone else complained and got „our“site (and we got upgraded .. to full hook-up from an ocean view ..???)… so we were not very hap

The original site was very small for a premium priced site. The bathrooms and showers were very dirty. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Lots for kids to do. Great location. Beautiful sunsets. Super friendly/helpful staff. Only negative for us is it was packed and the sites are a bit close together and on a couple of nights kids were running thru the sites after 10. Parents are to blame tho, not KOA. Overall, great place to be. Also, very clean, which I appreciate!

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay, even through it did rain a lot. Stuff is well organized and always courteous and smiley. Thank you. It would be 5 stars always, but it was raining a lot and on our departure day it was sunny :). If you had spare parking lot, maybe you can allow RVs, who stay with you, to park for a few hours on their departure, so people can enjoy that last day in the park.

If it was not for the location, this KOA would not rate as well. Sites are just put next to each other with little landscaping that would lead to privacy. Some of the staff are extremely friendly and other staff really need to retire.

We stayed 3 nights in cabin. We really only slept tgere as we were out exploring acadia, so seeing the campground didn't happen. Tge area and space of cabin was nice. The complaints that I do have though is the cabin was not very clean. The floor hasn't been cleaned dust, bugs and sticky surface areas. The showers were not very warm either.

What a wonderful place! The entire staff was incredible! Our cabin was SO clean and had everything we needed. By far, the best KOA I have ever stayed in.

So the good and the bad. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My son does remote charter school and the wifi was very dependable. Sites are tight and our site 348 turns into a lake that doesn’t drain when it rains even just a little. Men’s bathrooms were disgusting but that was a guest issue not a KOA staff issue. We did have great neighbors and will be trying to make this our annual trip.

Great facility with active, friendly and helpful staff. They are a well organized operation! Check-in was smooth and easy and the guide service is a real plus. They even offer programs for their guests! We stayed in one of the resident Airstream trailers, which was a great, if unique, experience. We have stayed in a number of very good KOA campgrounds, this is one of the best.

Very clean cabins, friendly and helpful staff. Loved the activities throughout the week. Fantastic location for all of the activities and exploration we wanted to do on MDI and in Bar Harbor. The beer tasting with local brewery Fog Town was particularly cool. The kids loved the scavenger hunt and searching for painted KOA rocks. Definitely recommend a visit.

Our stay was amazing!!!! My only suggestion is that you have a separate location for employees in the campground. We were right next to an employee camper and there was a LOT of drama. People yelling, crying, and loudly discussing other employee drama.

We loved our deluxe cabin very much! It was perfect for what we needed - 2 x bedrooms with bathroom & shower and a small kitchen! Kids enjoyed sleeping in bunk beds and it was awesome that we could travel together with our pet - our kitty! Cats, compared to dogs, are not always welcome, so we enjoyed being able to spend time all together very much! We shall definitely be back :-) Thank you!

Except for the huge crowds it was great at our site. Full ocean view and peaceful. What more can you ask. Love the updates on services you have by text especially weather updates. Thx for a most pleasant stay

Nice and clean campground, very convenient location to access different places in Acadia. We were very lucky to get Site 255 , with amazing view, right by the water. We will stay at your campground again!

Enjoyed my stay. This koa had clean facilities water front a lobster cafe which I enjoyed and shuttle to bar harbor and Acadia. Staff friendly and helpful I’ll stay here again

Our favorite site here, right on the water and we love seeing the tide come in over the rocks & recede. Sunset is beautiful! This is the most perfect KOA we have found in all the lower 48, and Barb, the manager, works hard to be sure everything is the best possible, & that everyone gets what they want. Activities abound!

The campground facilities were immaculate, if a little bit cramped. The staff were all terrific. Wish you had recycling for cans and bottles other than refundables.

Poor cabin experience. Cabins are on top of each other - people constantly walk through your site (only way to get to some cabins is through someone else's site). You cannot drive up to your cabin and park. You must park in a group lot and use small wagons that are provided by KOA to bring your gear to your cabin. Very poor for if you have little kids or people who have trouble walking/carrying.

Out cabin was clean and exactly as described. The activities available, lobster trap cafe, and ocean views were an added bonus. Definitely will come back :)

Campsite and Staff wonderful. Spacious site for large tent and car, not in direct sun, enough shade, close to waterfront. Neighbor behind loud, obnoxious; woman extremely abusive towards her beautiful dog...reportable- also swearing every other f word for two hours Friday evening. Ice Cream the best! Seriously rowdy kids- 1AM close by.

The check in staff was very friendly and helpful but the camping cabins were over priced for the value. We stayed 2 nights but in 2 different numbered cabins for the same price each. However the first night's cabin was clearly inferior to the second one. The second night's cabin had a refrigerator, a mosquito repellent plug in, and wall decor. And, the closest bathroom was a very long walk away.

We have been going for years. We had no cable and asked the office twice. The first time she said she would send somebody down, no one ever showed. Second time husband spoked to a man in the office, said we are on an island. No one ever came down. husband got fed up and looked at it himself and had to fix it himself. Grass was not cut, had to ask someone to come and cut it.

We have stayed at the oceanside KOA 4 times now and have found that each of the cabins has their pros and cons. Our favorite cabin is 801 right on the water. Overall the cabin is a great. A few suggestions to make it even better though would be to screen in the porch and add more hooks and shelves for storage. We will definitely be back!

Clean. Beautiful views. Spaces were a little tight but normal for a KOA. Very quiet at night. Staff was great and friendly. Prices at cafe were a little high but food was good. Great location to visit Acadia.
