2026 Camping Season

Our 2026 camping season runs from May 1 through October 17.

Weather permitting, we will make every effort to open earlier, potentially in late April.

Will My RV Fit? Will I Have to Unhook?

Planning your stay?      Let's make sure your rig fits perfectly!

When making a reservation, please let us know your type of rig—for example, a motorhome pulling a car or trailer (30' or less) should select “motorhome pulling.”

Be sure to enter the exact length of your RV, from bumper to hitch/bumper. Some models (like “33XXX”) are often longer than the number suggests, so measure carefully or check online.

Our system automatically adds extra length to help your rig fit without unhooking. If you pick a site that's too short, you'll be asked to confirm if unhooking is okay. We even add 25' to account for long trucks!

Our sites range from 45' to 90' long, so most rigs fit comfortably.

If you are a Fifth Wheel Towing, a double trailer towing, or  a tow trailer over 30 foot, please leave a note in your reservation so we can assign a site that fits your rig perfectly. You're also welcome to call us at 605-344-2247—we love helping campers find the right spot!

Store / Registration / Café Hours

Registration, the campground store, and our café are all conveniently located inside the A-frame building.

Please note: Store and café hours are shortened at the beginning and end of the season.

Firewood Policy

We have firewood for sale at the camp store for $9.00 per bundle, unless there is a weather-related burn ban.  Fire starters are available in the camp store, as the use of gasoline or other liquid accelerants is strictly prohibited at our KOA.

Help protect our parks!
To protect our forests, it is against South Dakota law to bring firewood from off-site, and it is also campground policy not to collect firewood within the campground.  Please help slow the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer, Asian Gypsy Moth, and Asian Longhorned Beetle by only using locally sourced firewood. The South Dakota Department of Agriculture (SDDA) reminds campers to purchase firewood from the local area to prevent transporting unwanted forest pests into or around the state. These insects have killed tens of millions of ash trees in at least 32 states—your cooperation helps protect our forests for future campers.

Campfire Safety:

  • Never leave a campfire unattended. Before leaving your campsite or retiring for the evening, fully extinguish your fire with water using the buckets at the water faucets in the tent area. Staff will immediately extinguish any unattended fires.
  • The fire pit is not for trash. Do not burn trash or use it as a dump.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our campground safe and our forests healthy!

Visitor Policy

All visitors must check in at the office before entering the campground.

To help everyone enjoy a peaceful evening, all visitors are asked to exit the campground by quiet time at 10:00 PM.If you'd like to stay the night, stop by the office to inquire about RV, tent, or cabin availability—we'd love to have you!

    Night Registration

The office closes in the evening, but don't worry—self check-in is easy!

Our well-lit, enclosed check-in area is attached to the entrance of our A-frame building.

    If you have a reservation:
When you arrive after hours, head to the self-check-in counter to the right of the front door. You'll find a map and packet showing how to locate your site. We will complete your check-in in the morning when the office opens and provide your receipt.

If you don't have a reservation:
You can still check in at the same counter. Self-registration packets will show which RV or tent sites are available. Completely fill out the Night Registration envelope, include your payment, and deposit it in the locked registration box. The packet includes a map marked with directional arrows to help you find your site.
No lodging accommodations are available after hours without a reservation.

    Trash Disposal

We work hard to keep the campground impeccably clean, and we appreciate your help in keeping your site tidy and orderly.
    • Daily Site Pickup: We collect trash from each campsite every morning between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
    • Dumpster Use: Guests are also welcome to deposit bagged trash in the dumpsters, located beside the satellite bathroom by the lake.

For sanitary reasons, dishwashing is strictly prohibited in the restrooms. An outdoor dishwashing station is conveniently located under the overhang on the back side of the A-frame building.

    Quite Hours

We all have different schedules—early risers, night owls, and everything in between!
Let's all agree to keep noise to a minimum from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
    • Please avoid idling vehicles, revving engines or shining headlight into other campsites in the early hours.
    • If you arrive late, shut down your vehicle and generator as soon as possible.
    • Campfires are welcome after 10:00 PM, but noise must stay within your campsite.
    • Loud music is never allowed, day or night.

    WIFI

Surf, stream, or work from anywhere on the campground with our blazing-fast fiber-optic Wi-Fi!

    Have your own Wi-Fi setup?
No problem—we've got sites without trees so you can get the best signal possible and stay connected while enjoying the great outdoors.

    EV Charging at RV Sites

Please note: our RV electrical pedestals cannot safely charge electric vehicles (EVs).

Our campground pedestals were designed for typical RV use, not the continuous electrical draw required to charge EV batteries.

Plugging your EV into a 30- or 50-amp pedestal could permanently damage your vehicle and our electrical system.

Even if your manufacturer provides a charging converter, it does not change the limitations of our campground's electrical infrastructure.

EV charging at our pedestals is strictly prohibited.
Violators will be asked to immediately unplug their vehicle and may be held responsible for damages or subject to eviction without refund.

Don't worry—there are Tesla and other EV charging stations available within 20 miles of the campground, and we're happy to provide directions.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and our electrical system functioning properly!

    Meet Your Hosts

Hospitality runs through our blood—caring for people and creating enjoyable experiences.

Robert and Lisa Wice, Jr enjoyed their camping experiences so much that they decided to take it one step further and purchase their own campground.  They were ready for a business of their own, and purchased the Belvidere East campground in Spring of 2018 and relocated from Michigan to South Dakota.

Robert worked in the production/assembly department for GM and Lisa worked as a home health care provider.  They had a previous business in Michigan for eight years which provided them experience in hospitality and customer service.  "We really enjoyed working with customers on a daily basis. It's always enjoyable to make a customer happy and see them smile."  Their goal is to provide customers with great service. "We treat them as we would like to be treated," they   added.

They enjoy traveling to different states camping in their fifth wheel trailer with their three dogs, Bella, Dory & Ellie.  They also look forward to continued traveling and camping in their fifth wheel during the off season, when they have the opportunity to check out other KOA campgrounds and meet other owners.
