Too hot, no shade, no amenities, but amazing kitchen and food.

Thank you for staying with us. Sorry for the unusually warm South Dakota spring. We are tree limited being located in the prairie grasslands. Please remember we are a KOA Journey and do not have as many amenities as Holidays or Resorts.

It is a very nice KOA and is our normal stop on are our trip west and back. We have stayed there several times and have always had a pleasant experience. I would recommend this KOA and will stay there again.

The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Had pizza 2 nights and they were very good. Level pad and easy hookups.

Excellent!! So much more than we expected in a camping cabin. The fridge really helped. The food at the cafe was wonderful!

In the middle of the night, the wind shifted and we were overcome by sewer smell from the open sewage lagoon. It woke us up it was so bad. Next time we will stop at the next place down the road. Also, it would be great if the pool was repaired. Otherwise very nice setting and super friendly staff.

Thank you for camping with us. Unfortunately at times we do get smells for the surrounding cattle since we are in the middle of the prairie. We are trying to get our pool repaired but due to Covid, we have experiencing difficulties finding a contractor. We are upgrading numerous items on site.

Stay was good, sites are clean, people for most part are friendly. No swimming pool due to damage and no plans of fixing it, games in game room out dated and not working. Not much for older kids to do....

We chose this location because of 1880 town, Badlands, Wall drug and the Minutemen exhibit and museum. Worked out well. All within short driving distance. Staff was very friendly.

nice people, easy access from I 90, sites large enough. no pool, dirt and gravel roads very dusty, no patio area at sites, no sewer at sites, no shade, not worth fifty bucks a night, won't be back

Thank your for staying at our campground. We are in processing of finding a contractor to repair the pool but Covid is making it difficult. We are in the middle of the grasslands and are very tree limited. We do have sewer sites available on premises but you reserved a site without sewer.

Hot drive ended with a stop here BUT the swimming pool was not usable. It was damaged heavily and not to be repaired.

Very accommodating for our handicapped son. Delivery service for food, ice, showers, laundry service we used everyday with our son.

We were passing through on a 3 week trip. This was our first stop. We had never heard of the 1880's Village and were interested in seeing the sights. We drove from Sioux City, IA, and were ready to stop for the night. We tented in one of their very clean tenting sites. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Thank you for helping us start our trip off on the right foot!

The bull in the pasture is very aggressive so watch out if riding a bicycle on the side road. The staff people are very polite and helpful

Everything was being worked on. The pool and men's bathroom were out of service. The paper towel dispenser in the only working men's bathroom was not working. Water service was not available at every site.

Thank you for camping with us. We are trying to update and remodel the campground but due to Covid and material shortages it is taking longer that expected. We hoped our customers would understand and enjoyed the upgrades we will be providing to the campground.

Through no fault of their own the pool was down for a season or two. Quite, area. Far enough off of I90 you could hardly hear it. For a journey koa it wouldn’t take much to be a holiday. Cafe was awesome. Store had most everything one could possibly need. From souvenir to repair they had you covered.

The campground was ok but cost too high. Advertised a swimming pool but it was not operational. We arrived 1 hour early due to time change we were not aware of and was charged a additional $16.00.

With lots of open sites, we were put on a site with serious ground/soil disturbance. Unlevel and dangerous for walking to do hookups.

Thank you for staying with us. The site you were staying at just had the hydrant replaced a couple days prior to your stay and the ground was settling due to the new plumbing. You should had told us during your stay and we would have brought more dirt down to your site to level the ground.

Janky! No pool. Lake smells like dead fish. Showers were bad! Horse flies the size of quarter's. Would not have stayed if I would have known about pool and raunchy lake!

The cabin was nice. The lack of pool and one of the bathrooms was a big problem. We shouldn't pay for facilities that are closed.

Called and told them we had six kids with us for an overnight stay and they didn’t bother to mention the pool is torn to bits and not functional. $80 for an overnight stay with 6 kids and no pool. They get an extra star for the stiff breeze and site that blocked the evening sun. I swore off KOA 4 years ago due to another bad experience and this put the nail in the coffin for me. No more KOA.

Road construction unfortunately impacted the access and egress to the interstate from the campground, certainly not the fault of the campground or management. The entry to the campground was easily found and very accessible. We were very surprised and impressed with the full kitchen and menu available for campers from the office/registration/store area. the Site was clean and well tended.

It was a pleasant stay if quite hot and windy. We enjoyed having meal service after a long, hot day diving. Too bad about the pool, but we would not have used it anyway.

After a long trip we were greeted by friendly staff. They offered food options, took us to our campsite and made sure we were setup ok, then delivered firewood. The downside to this, we are all spoiled now.

Stopped here on our way to the Badlands. The owners and staff were so very kind and clearly they are investing back into the park with improvements. We enjoyed the pizza they delivered to our site. The sunset on the prairie was beautiful. Very dog friendly and convenient to I90 and the 1880's town (also very dog friendly). Very good WIFI

We loved it here. Staff is exceptionally friendly, the camp restaurant is great, close to NP, very dog friendly, beautiful night sky.

The folks who run this place are exceedingly friendly and helpful (and they have a cute dog). We stayed in a comfy little cabin for two nights and had a great experience. No big stores nearby, so make sure you pack all you need for your stay. The camp store has some extra food, small supplies, and souvenirs.
