Our site #57 was flooded due to a broken sprinkler line (which I heard has been leaking for over a year). We ended up leaving a day early because of standing water and mud.

After confirming the site we’d reserved over the phone, they gave away our site and moved us to the back of the grounds. The power hook-ups didn’t work in our site. The 2nd day, they’d booked a wedding in the hall, so we had people parked in and around our site, people walking and driving through our site, etc. Our family’s site ended up flooding due to a sprinkler leak. We all left a day

We were overnighters. Cute place. Wide open. Trees in each site. Electrical boxes could use an upgrade or renovation. Could be just me, but I prefer not to see wires with electrical tape on them.

Arrived to our room to find it had not been cleaned from prior stay, urine on toilet seat, hair in shower. The manager promptly upgraded us to a nicer more expensive cabin which was appreciated. But even this place was not properly cleaned. The window in the shower was broken, there was a banana peel left at the picnic table, the bedside light didnt work, there was toothpaste “spray” on wood

WiFi didn’t work, cabin wasn’t very clear. Trash under the bed and in the bathroom.

Best experience and customer service of our entire trip happened here at this beautiful and wonderful campground. The entire staff at this property was outstanding however special recognition should be given to Justin who went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and even took the time to assist us with a water heater issue with our trailer. Bravo for the great customer service!!

We had a 2 day stay at Benbow KOA. This is a premier KOA and has all the amenities you would expect plus golfing, a nice river side path to a historic inn, all set in a wooded enclave adjacent to a large old growth redwood grove. This is a great choice to camp if you're traveling through this area. 5 Stars for sure.

It would have really been nice to have the swimming area and golf course open since you are charging full rates at this time. The excuse for the golf course was they were re seeding it. The greens still had weeds everywhere. I love camping there but prices are high compared to other campgrounds with better activities.

We had a great time there. Our group had 22 rigs. Weather was in the high 70s. Justin that works there was very helpful a few times with members of our group. We so appreciate his help. We definitely will be going back there. Thank you.

Beautiful KOA but the sites are too close together. Our site was next to large Class A with 2 SUVs and a U-Haul car trailer so we were cramped. Our cable did not work and on the site next to us the cable tower looked new but the cable tower on ours was old and had a stripped coax port so the cable would not stay attached.

The door wouldn’t fully close/lock but the cabin I stayed at was cute and clean. Didn’t get to see Turbo the cat this time ): . It was a fun trip with my dog thank you.

A short two day getaway. Or first adventure in our RV, 7 years ago,was to the BenBow Koa and it was good to get back for a quick visit.

Our stay started out with a warm greeting from the staff, Krissy and Jordan.They were helpful and courteous. I found the campsite to be well maintained. I had read there were broken lights and no dog poop bags, but I found the opposite to be true. The lanterns in our site worked, the RV site was spacious. The bathrooms clean. Loved our visit!!

Beautiful campground. Grandkids loved the River. I do have a couple concerns. People not wearing masks (except indoors) and sports equipment left on court so not being cleaned between usage. 2 - staff needs to check the dog walk area and clean up dog poop and replace bags in dispensers. 3 - kids should not be allowed to run around unsupervised.

Loved being on the River! The bed in the triplex wasn’t very comfortable and the sheets seemed too small for the bed though

It was only for one night, but the person at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The campground is spaced nicely and quiet. I will come back when I can stay longer and enjoy the beauty of the area.

turned out the site we reserved #56 had a short term (long term) tenant in it. So they put us in a prime site. Fortunately the site wasn't much more than the regular site. As it turned out Site 56 the one we reserved still had the same sprinkler leak that was there two years ago and last year. The site was a water mess all over the patio. Glad we didn't get it. Lawns unkept. Rundown Bathroom clean

I love this KOA. I usually stay in the deluxe cabins which are much more affordable than anything else in town with that many amenities. Will keep coming back for sure.

Two disappointing issues: Oven in kitchen could not be used as it was very dirty with built up burnt food, it kept smoking the cabin out. Gas BBQ was also dirty and had spoiled food all over it.

Beautiful area with River access and ability to walk to the Benbow Inn. Close proximity to Richardson Grove. About an hour to Ferndale which is a nice day trip. Grounds are clean & feel safe but equipment/bathrooms dated and worn. Power supply unstable, staff responsive but unable to correct problem. Appears to have some long term residents even though there is a 21 day limit.

Customer service was great! When we asked or needed anything it was addressed. Our cabin was clean and our needs were met. We will be coming back without a doubt!

WiFi is sketchy. Park seems to be rundown. Many permanent residents in cabins and TVs. Lots of freeway noise.

We like this campground a lot with a few exceptions. Too many live ins, cute little street lights burned out, with everyone bringing pets no poop bags and a water leak. Also the front desk kids are kinda clueless. But overall a nice and clean campground

Good. Nice staff. Enjoyed the stay and proximity to the Avenue of the Giants. The stream was nice and fishing was convenient.

This place is very nice. If you are a tourist traveling threw take my word as a local for 44 years. This is one of the best RV parks around this area. And it's central for all the cool stuff around. It is always clean and the grounds are always very well kept. On the east side of the park is a nice golf course (as long as we are not in a drought and they can water properly) on the west side of park is a beautiful river. Plus they have walking paths all over as well. I would highly recommend this park for just you or the hole family.

This was our second trip to this location and it won't be our last. The staff is so friendly and the property is so clean. Make sure to check out the hand made bennies and jewelry. I highly recommend this KOA!!!
