Great location and staff. This was our 5th time at this park this year but our first 4-star rating, after previous all 5-stars How to get back to 5-star? Water the grass. Site 92 grass dead and brown. Clean fire pit out...full of ashes and cigarette butts. Fix the golfing1 Internet. Previously worked OK, but not this time. Paid for the 101netlink, but it was also TERRIBLE. Please fix the internet

We have enjoyed coming to Benbow for years, but over the past year things have been a little off as new management are getting their footing. Camp sites are no longer lush and green like they used to be. Golf course needs some work, but is fun to play and reasonable price. More concerning is the lack of management enforcement on quiet hours people partying until 1 or 2 am nightly.

Nice campground with lots of shade and a creek nearby. Unfortunately the site I had was very small without a picnic table but still very nice.

We appreciated that the bathrooms and showers were open. The store area in the office was pretty sparse on supplies.

The stay was excellent and the staff were extremely accommodating. The location was very good. Easy in and out of the property. Close to town for fill up. Very pleased. Foxes

we stayed 3 nights in late august. Went there to get away from the smoke of the LNU complex fires. The campground was neat and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Staff were just wonderful! Friendly and helpful. Cabin was lovely and spotless. The campground was a little too crowded and noisy, but the other campers were very considerate and quiet by 10p. Super nice bathrooms, especially the showers! Our only problem was the stove didn’t work and no one came to fix it even though we asked twice. But overall it was a lovely visit.

Everything was delightful, with one tiny exception. The flies were awful!!! But we expect that was due to the wildfires, literally, around us. We've stayed at Benbow, before, and never had the fly problem. The renovations and upgrades being done in the campground look great. It's so nice to see things looking clean and well cared for. We'll be back!!!!

Tight turns with tree limbs leaving scratches down the side of our coach. Dead grass at our site. No fire ring. Minimal at best.

Our park is older and harder for big rigs to move through. Sorry you were disappointed. Maybe we could have given you some of this information ahead of time so that you could have made a better decision about where to stay.

Paid for 50 amp site, assigned a 30 amp site. Inquired of mgr re the mix up and were promptly reassigned to proper site. Park has a restricted number of 50 amp sites we discovered.

Great location right off the freeway. was able to get a space with short notice. nice office/store. nice that the pool was open to use with restrictions. I asked the front desk if the pool was heated, I was told yes, but the pool was freezing and it was about 85 outside. The grass was all weeds , I guess water shortage during the summer. good that the hook ups were in one place.

The pool is heated to 80 degrees. Irrigation problems are what have caused the dry grass and weeds. We have it fixed but until it cools off, we can't recover the grass. We will work on it though.

It would be nice if you trimmed some of the trees to ensure larger rigs can pull out of their spot without scraping limbs. Lanes are already tight and people tended to not always park in their designated area.

Good point. We will take a look at the tree branches. While we trim them at the beginning of the season, their continued growth may go unnoticed when we are busy.

We stayed for one night. The garbage cans were overflowing with trash. Lots of dog feces at the campground. The KOA staff members were not wearing masks (inside they were) but not outside when talking or approaching a guest. Very disappointed!

worst wf fi- meaning no wifi only i name, cancelled out the nice swimming pool

Wifi is difficult and expensive in our area with the remoteness and the mountains. We do have a paid service available to our guests through a direct satellite provider for $5 per GB. The park wifi is easily overwhelmed with so many devices trying to connect in a busy park.

Just overnight. Park is in rough condition. Grass not being watered. Overpriced!!!

We are sorry you were disappointed. Unfortunately, we lost our irrigation for a few weeks and by the time it was repaired and working well, the heat had been too much. We will do better.

Our first time camping and KOA! With a special needs person, having the luxury of the cabin was perfect! we will be back! Staff was wonderful and pool was awesome. A great experience through the Covid epidemic..Thank you!

Didn’t sleep well with neighbors music after midnight both nights. At other KOA’S the host would drive around to let campers know to turn off music. Went to watch movie and people were smoking there. Not happy about that either. Cigarette butts and dog poop in campsite when we arrived.

Pretty good campground, we didn't use any of the facilities but we walked to the river (under the freeway). Reasonably quiet, plenty of stars visible when we arrived at 10pm! Easy check-in process. A bit pricey, but we would stay here again.

Cabin in need of a lot of TLC. Broken microwave, dangerous dishwasher that was smoldering with melting plastic, and lots of ants. Suggest better maintenance and cleaning protocols. The site overall is good, but has the potential to be so much better.

It looks like a lot of the cabins were permanent residents with lots of junk. Grass was all dead at the sites. Narrow roads make it difficult to get in and out of your site.

Stayed for a 3 day weekend to explore the Avenue of the Giants and Redwoods National Park. Benbow KOA had a nice layout with larger rigs near the front entrance and smaller lots towards the back of the lot. There is bathrooms and showers right in the middle and at the front desk area. We did not get to enjoy the premises during the day but it is lively at night during the summer time.

Last minute call for an overnight stay turned into a 3 night stay. Lots of places to go see from there! Easy to get in and out with a 40ft rig. We will come back, if we travel in this area again.

Our tent plus utilities spot was very noisy. It was very close to several other sites with no clear boundaries. Several people walked right through our campground without hesitation. The noise was the worst. It was Saturday night but several nearby neighbors drank loudly until 3 am without any interference from the staff. We were very happy to get a site for two nights at the last minute. Our “interest” was to see the redwoods and walk the trails both days. It was great. The first night the “party people” near us quieted down right at 10:00. Hooray! But the second night the same groups were noisy well beyond that time. The site is more suitable for those guests with an RV or Trailer. The bathrooms need some serious TLC as there is a broken window that is dangerous in the Men’s entrance. Cleaning overall could be better and more so given Covid.

Please be sure to bring these issues to our attention while you are here. We do care about the guest experience and will address it immediately. We are confused about the broken window at the men's bathroom as the windows in our bathrooms are near the ceiling not the entrance and none broken.

The Inn and grounds around it are great. Not so much the RV Park. Grass was dead on sites, lots of dust. The guess staying didn’t care about social distancing and gathering in big groups, neighbor came in at 8pm and set up camp till 1:30 am. I came to get away from it all and had a neighbor spouting off his political views to all his neighbors. The area beautiful KOA needs work ran down.

We rented a deluxe cabin 4 nights.. 1.smoke detector chirping every night 2.ants everywhere & live inside the stove 3. dirtiness in general especially the oven 4. bathtub leaks to hallway 5.missing a cabinet drawer 6.broken blinds 7.broken lightbulb (ceiling) 8.A/C barely working at 90-100 deg week 9.our cabin is next to the playground. KOA manager allows outdoor movie playing 4 nites & till 11:45

This place is very nice. If you are a tourist traveling threw take my word as a local for 44 years. This is one of the best RV parks around this area. And it's central for all the cool stuff around. It is always clean and the grounds are always very well kept. On the east side of the park is a nice golf course (as long as we are not in a drought and they can water properly) on the west side of park is a beautiful river. Plus they have walking paths all over as well. I would highly recommend this park for just you or the hole family.

This was our second trip to this location and it won't be our last. The staff is so friendly and the property is so clean. Make sure to check out the hand made bennies and jewelry. I highly recommend this KOA!!!
