We have been going to this Benbow for years. It is the worse we have seen it. Very ran down. They can't seem to keep a manager different staff every time we go. There are people that live there that have a lot of traffic in and out. Disappointing

Reason for not giving 5 stars is the shorepower electrical box was not functioning. Called for after hours assistance. There was a timely response with resolution being assigned another site. It was inconvenient having to move. Preventative maintenance should have caught the faulty breakers.

We love the Benbow KOA and come for a short stay every year. The only downside this year is the lack of water for the golf course which was a bummer but obviously not the KOA's fault we are in a drought. Great staff and fun time. The pool is fantastic and the kids love it!

We have stayed here many times. This time the condition of the park was awful! All grass around the sites and on the golf course was dead! You can't distinguish the greens from the fairways. And two sites away from us they had a water leak that turned the entire aisle into a swam The WiFi is non-existent, even up at the office. All this for $70+/night. We won't be back.

Very nice camp area. Some of the turns are a bit tight for a 38 foot 5th wheel but with a little skill its fine. Nice pool and hot tub which were both working while we were there. I wanted to play the golf course but didn't get a chance. The host were very nice at check in. Very busy and a lot of people.

I have stayed here many times in the last 15 years. It is a great location for visiting the giant redwoods. I was a little disappointed this time for two reasons. First the park felt dirty. I know there is a drought and the grass could not be maintained but that would be no excuse for not cleaning up the debris and leaves that were all over the grounds. The pay for Wi-Fi per device is ridiculous.

Very enjoyable! The campground is very clean. Nice bathrooms. The pool area was our favorite part. Lots of room to hang out. A big beautiful oak for shade if u need it. The playground area was nice for our little one. Great place to bring your bikes. Plenty of things to check out in the area. We are definitely coming back.

lack of water. everything is brown and dry. even the greens! TV cable didn't work. everything else was OK.

Thanks for your understanding during drought season as we are forced to curtail watering. We help guests with cable TV connections but are at the mercy of the cable company for quality and service interruptions. We hope conditions beyond our control will not prevent guests from enjoying KOA camping.

Very dry and desolate conditions, based on lack of water in Mendocino county. Looked like bathrooms were locked and code needed, not provided at check in. Wifi was non functional, had to use my own cell phone hot spot. Stay was just ordinary, and sewer drains at sites were too tall to effectively use. OK for a brief stop, not for a long stay.

Very nice and helpful employees! Would love to play golf, but the course is still in bad shape do to the drought conditions. Hopefully a wet winter will help this course prosper this spring of 2022!

We have been staying at the Benbow KOA off and on for several years. It's only about 1 1/2 hours from our home on the coast, and we like the location for weekend getaways. The management staff are friendly for the most part, and they seem to be trying to improve the campground, but they are obviously understaffed, and the place needs a lot of attention!

Staff was wonderful! Definitely wish the grass between each site was green because the dead grass tracked into trailer a lot. Also there should not be a charge for golf since it’s impossible to actually play a serious game due to brown grass & weeds. Overall we had a wonderful time & they are definitely trying to keep the place nice otherwise!

We always love staying at Benbow KOA… Although, there is still a fly problem and I didn’t see any fly traps in the tree this time. Otherwise the staff is friendly and we’re willing to come help us with a problem with our cable hook up. We will return as often as we can.

They were great to give us a site spur of the moment. Only complaint was out of 14 washers/dryers, 5 were out of order. And personal opinion, jacuzzi should be only for adults. Next to a nice restaurant, good food (don’t get Fish n Chips). A nice one-night stopover.

i am was very disappointed that I paid for a premium site #92 like in the picture above and the grass was not only all dead but most of the dirt was barren. For $80 I expected much better than that. I understand there is a drought but the few premium spaces should be watered. The rest of the facilities were very nice.

Nice spots. Clean pool. The arcade is small and outdated, but the kids still liked it. The Benbow Inn has great food. Close to Confusion Hill which was fun to visit. Good time all around.

So sad to.spend money where the facility was nothing like the website. Please update your website! I heard they plan to start watering soon. We drove 7 hours most of our neighbors left for a better experience.

This place is very nice. If you are a tourist traveling threw take my word as a local for 44 years. This is one of the best RV parks around this area. And it's central for all the cool stuff around. It is always clean and the grounds are always very well kept. On the east side of the park is a nice golf course (as long as we are not in a drought and they can water properly) on the west side of park is a beautiful river. Plus they have walking paths all over as well. I would highly recommend this park for just you or the hole family.

This was our second trip to this location and it won't be our last. The staff is so friendly and the property is so clean. Make sure to check out the hand made bennies and jewelry. I highly recommend this KOA!!!
