The Smart Way to Bookend Your Season
Here is a favorite strategy among our camping families, and we think more people should know about it.
Book a site for our final weekend of the season and enjoy one last round of campfires, s'mores, and good company before the season wraps up. Before you head home, winterize your rig right here on site, and while you are at it, go ahead and book your site for the opening weekend next spring too. Then simply leave your rig parked in that same spot for the winter. No hitching up, no hauling it across town, no finding room in the driveway.
When spring rolls around, you already have your site reserved. Just come de-winterize your rig right where you left it, and you will be camping again within minutes, kicking off the new season the easy way.
One trip in, one trip out, and your rig never has to move in between. Book both ends before winter even starts, and the hardest part of next season is already done.

What can I store for the winter?
We offer winter storage for your RV, motorhome, travel trailer, and/or boat of essentially any type or size, subject to availability.
When is storage available?
Winter storage is available approximately the last weekend of October until mid-April.
How far in advance should I reserve a spot?
Space is limited and tends to fill up as fall comes to a close, so we recommend reaching out as early as possible.
Do I need to be a current camper to use winter storage?
Our storage is available to both Brighton / 401 KOA campers as well as to the public. Contact us to check on availability.
Do you offer winterizing and other services?
Brighton / 401 KOA offers storage space. You will need to provide winterizing, de-winterizing, and any mechanical services such as battery upkeep, maintenance, etc., as well as snow removal or periodic inspections if desired.
Can I book my final weekend, winter storage, and opening weekend all together?
Yes. Many of our camping families book our final weekend of the season, winterize on site before they leave, reserve their site for opening weekend while they are still here, and store their rig with us over the winter. That way, when spring comes, they already have their spot booked and just need to de-winterize and start camping, all without ever moving their unit. Contact our team to set this up.
What about insurance and security?
Throughout the storage period, you will need to maintain your own insurance. Brighton / 401 KOA does not have formal security or surveillance service.
