Stayed here for 3 days and enjoyed every minute of it. Very friendly staff. Lots of trees but there were some spaces for satellite TV reception.

At check in it appeared family members were eating dinner at the front counter while there were a few people waiting to check in. Not a large issue just an interesting approach to customer focus.

Great place to stay. however, it rained a lot and we had a lake by our hook-ups. As with most of the KOA lately, the gravel needs to be added to and the parking pads need to e level. Love the swings and table on patio sites.

You should clearly indicate the seasonal section and quiet hours at 10pm Don't advertise amenities that aren't available like bounce pad and laundry. I had to pay an extra $72 for my kids who played one round of golf and went swimming in the pool once. I could have stayed at any campground if I just wanted a place to set up with electric, water, and sewer. Thought the picnic table would collapse.

We love our Buckeye Lake KOA. Nice people and lots to do if you are looking for that!

We thought our site was very close to the site next to us. Our sewer line was right by their patio and when we emptied our tanks, the people were sitting right there. Your putt putt course could use some maintenance, especially the standing water. The pool was nice but the third day I used it, it needed to be cleaned. I think there were some better sites than ours. Mosquitoes.

Columbus is a good central hub for our travels. The place is peaceful and well maintained. Staff friendly and attentive. If you want something as a con, well we had a mud puddle that aligned with where I had to step out of the truck to disconnect the trailer. That’s about as big a complaint I could come up with. If you can’t handle that then you probably have bigger issues than camping.

This was my first time to stay at a KOA. The staff was very friendly, and the campground was clean, and we are considering becoming KOA members.

Very dusty roads with campsites close together. The people in the next site were load and playing music until 11:00pm. Their vehicles also had noisy exhaust systems. They had a bunch of kids also being loud. Kids need activities and can't blame the kids, I blame their parents for not informing them there are other people in the area not wanting to hear all that noise. We enjoy nature, not noise.

Only stayed here one night as we traveled home to MD from The Black Hills in SD. Enjoyed the campground and learned there are numerous things to see/do in the Columbus area. We'll be back for a longer visit.... :-)

This is the campground that taught me to call ahead to confirm any amenities that were mission-critical for me. It was frustrating to have planned an extra day layover specifically to do laundry while my kids played only to find that the laundry room had been out of service for months with no indication on their KOA page that the laundry wasn’t available.

Park is very clean. The only complaint was the sewer connection was 6” above the ground making for an uphill sewer dump

When reserving our site it did not state that it was a buddy site. Upon arrival we were put at a site that was a buddy spot. I feel like our booking was misleading. Also, site was very unlevel and had zero grass. Big rocks and gravel which were not comfortable at all. I would recommend wrist bands for all campers and guests as our neighbors had a total of 11 people at their site all weekend.

SAD TO SAY DELUXE CABIN NOT CLEAN UPON MY ARRIVAL,HAD TO GET SOMEONE TO CLEAN IT. THE AIR CONDITIONER TOO LOUD AND SMELLY,HAD TO KEEP TURNING IT OFF.THEN THERE WAS A MAJOR LEAK UNDER POCKETDOORS TO MY ROOM.TOLD THE LADY WITH LONG RED HAIR,AS I CHECKED OUT EARLY.ONLY STAYED FROM 3:30PM UNTIL 10:30AM.THE BEES WERE SWARMING UNDER CABIN AND THE STRONG SMELL OF SEWER.LEFT VERY SADDENED.��

We were there eight nights, visiting relatives in the Columbus area. We have stayed there before. Both times on a patio site. Excellent amenities and friendly and helpful staff. We were there during a rainy week, and while we were not directly affected, they could use better drainage on the roads through the campground and on a number of sites. Otherwise, great stay and we will come again.

We came with a group that had 6 kids, on a Thursday. To not have all activities opened but only on Friday is very disappointing for them. The jump pad was only open 1 day of our stay. Also, I would suggest longer store hours, it closes to soon in the evening.

There were 2 glaring incidents of violations of quiet time during our stay. We reported one. The other happened the night of the Legend Valley Led Zepagain concert at Saturday 7/17. A shuttle arrived after 12:30 am and left a bunch of tent campers who were unfortunately near our motorhome. They were loud and ran around with flashlights until after 3:30 am. 2 big men came into site!

It was a bit run down, laundry closed, units too close together, inadequate bathrooms. The view of the park like woods from our small rv was very nice

Great campground, especially for families with kids. Pool plus everything else to entertain them. Still too many permanent trailors that make the back row/street a bit unruly and crowded with all their stuff and wild light shows at night.

Tent campsites are large and along a creek. You don't feel crowded or on top of your neighbors. Nice pool and activities.

We had a vehicle break down on our eastern US tour and were stranded just before a holiday weekend. The ENTIRE staff at Buckeye Lake were AMAZING and did everything they possibly could to make us feel welcome, safe and valued. Upon arrival we were given a site without septic at our request because we had planned to stay only one night and be on our way. Our truck broke down before the next morning so we ended up needing space for nearly 3 weeks! It was unplanned and could have been a disaster but the whole team went to work for us and helped us through our time of need. They even referred us to someone to pump out our waste tanks when needed. WAY above and beyond service! I wish every other Camp ground we have visited could take lessons from the team at Buckeye Lake! Thank you to the entire crew! We hope to visit again next year when we do our west coast and northern US tour!
