Everything was perfect except the shower houses really need renovated. Beyond that everything else was amazing.

Drainage issues and bathhouse unavailable. Street lights would also be helpful. When dark, it is difficult to drive using low beam lights.

At check in was not told of the pool hours, pancake breakfast, absolutely no information. Looks like you had a lot to offer but did not share it. Also, a 6:00 store closure is way too early. Could have sold a lot of ice cream that night!

The section we stayed in was narrow & muddy. The roadways are in need of new gravel. It was very dusty. The picnic tables are very old, nothing you want to serve food and sit on. It should have been noted online that laundry mat was closed down. We were counting on doing laundry during our stay.

Definitely a great place to stay! When we arrived at this KOA, we discovered our site was totally graveled - not a pleasant thing for our dogs, who like a little bit of grass in which to relax. When we asked the office staff if we could be moved, they were more than happy to help and quickly found us another site that was much more to our, and our dogs', liking. Kudos to the staff!

Got a little too crowded for us - overall beautiful site - clean and we maintained. Highly recommend if you have children (we do not). Workers were very helpful and friendly.

Staff was very nice, lots of things to do. Our only issue was we had family visit that lived 15 minutes away and they were charged to visit, I can understand if they were staying overnight, but they were there about 2 hours.

We had such a good time...love the location as to walking and enjoying the lake...very clean and the staff was very accommodating and friendly even though they were short staffed...we have stayed before and will stay again!

Just a quick overnight, but it was a beautiful campground and my site was level. Can’t do better than that! We will be back for a longer stay sometime soon.

We only stayed one night but the camp ground after hours crew were extremely helpful during our check in and showed us right to our campsite. The campgrounds were very clean and spacious. We were on a return trip from Virginia to Illinois and and needed a halfway stopping point. We will definitely use it again.

We had a great time! This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. As business owners it is hard for us to get away, and our stay was just what we needed. Our daughter loved it! She especially loved riding in the golf cart as well as the playground and the gem mining. Thank you for a relaxing weekend!

Stayed in a deluxe cabin for 4th of July weekend 2021. Great facility, but our cabin (deluxe 2), badly needs a deep cleaning. Bare floors dirty (socks almost black from walking on it), and lots of accumulated dust in hard-to-reach places (especially on the fan in the bedroom). Shower head disgusting and very little water pressure. Aside from this, we were satisfied with our stay.

Nice small place. Was a holiday weekend and it was packed. The water pressure was on the low side even after people started to leave and camp sites were a little on the small side. I would go back.

Very friendly place. We stayed at site 74. The tree in the middle needs to be removed. We had to park our 5th wheel closer to next site due to the tree. We were thankful they didn't have a bonfire .

July 4th. Weekend. Pros: easy check in and check out. Campground was clean. Kabin was cleanish. Staff was very helpful, accommodating, and cared about the service. Cons: Not all the bath houses were open when the park was at capacity. Those that were open were not cleaned often enough for the amount of people using them. They nickeled and dimed you for things. IE: visitors, pets, & kids.

Last year (2019) we stayed in the newer section that had a beautiful patio but a newly planted tree. We melted in the heat. This year we stayed in the older section with large trees for the shade. We felt like we were parked in a driveway. We could not open our awning all the way due to a large tree. Got the tree I wanted but gave up everything else.

Staff at game sites were very young and not customer friendly our knowledgeable Paid for 3 adults for puttputt then was told before finishing first round time was up and closing down � also young staff inexperenced

We enjoyed our time! The pool was very nice: large and clean. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and it was wonderful! The jump pad is only open certain hours and we kept missing the slots. We enjoyed renting the big-wheels bikes. The campground smelled like manure, not sure what that was about. The playground is a little old. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it.

Easy check-in and out. The grounds are well cared for and clean. Communication is friendly and prompt; complaints (by othyer campers) were communicated and policy reminders succinct. I prefer the activity bell to the PA that other camps use. We had a splendid weekend.

Rhonda has always been nice to us we have fun at the pool and enjoy the fun activities and he looks like there's enough going away and not pulling you too far away from your family time but giving enough space sure different activities

great place!! Very clean and very friendly employees. The site for the tent are spacious and under trees. Something I really liked was the activities and facilities they have for the children. The only thing I could say they should improve is in the number of showers. They only have 2 for each bathroom and sometimes I had to stand in line. But of the rest I liked very much. I'll be back soon.

This was everything not to like about large campgrounds. It was very, very crowded, units packed in close to each other, noisy and chaotic during the day. The nights were pleasantly quiet after 11pm. The roads in the campground were tight with vehicles parked so close that the roads were narrow with tight turns. This is not my idea of a relaxing place to stay or even sit outdoors.

Rhonda and her staff were awesome! Friendly, very courteous, helpful. Loved the ice cream too! They had activities for the kids. Our place to stay when we are in the area!

We had a vehicle break down on our eastern US tour and were stranded just before a holiday weekend. The ENTIRE staff at Buckeye Lake were AMAZING and did everything they possibly could to make us feel welcome, safe and valued. Upon arrival we were given a site without septic at our request because we had planned to stay only one night and be on our way. Our truck broke down before the next morning so we ended up needing space for nearly 3 weeks! It was unplanned and could have been a disaster but the whole team went to work for us and helped us through our time of need. They even referred us to someone to pump out our waste tanks when needed. WAY above and beyond service! I wish every other Camp ground we have visited could take lessons from the team at Buckeye Lake! Thank you to the entire crew! We hope to visit again next year when we do our west coast and northern US tour!
