Rather rustic.We've stayed at some very nice KOA's with paved sites.This one was gravel and muddy, even without the rain.The sewer was running uphill and was at opposite end of the site from the water and electric,which made hooking up a bit difficult. Also we were not able to empty our black tank. A lot of run down campers.Goin to another KOA tomorrow and really hope for an excellent experience.

The older area of this campground needs updated and cleaned up. The grass needs mowed in that area and the water that runs through is very stagnant with mosquitoes. Some of the seasonal sites need addressed they are eye sores. The newer part of this campground is nice. Just clean up the older sites!

We stayed in the Tiny cabin. We weren't told we had to bring linen or pillows. We stayed in Cabin 6-6. We went out for the evening and came back and could not park by our cabin. We called but the office was closed at that time. We never got a call back. We had to park and walk a long distance even though we have a handicap tag. We couldn't find signage as to where we were to drop key at???

It has been many years since I have camped at a KOA. The service was amazing. The staff was terrific. The response from the office text line was absolutely helpful. I was very pleased to stay there and join in the activities. We will be returning again.

Wonderful guest relations with Jimmy who does security at this KOA. Great move on his part to relocate us as the mosquitos were awful at our original site. Thanos Jimmy.�

We did not stay. We ended up leaving a bit after arrival. We didn’t realize how packed in the campground was. And it seemed more like a party atmosphere. One of the sites had a makeshift bar set up. We were looking for a quiet place to stay. We have never stayed at a KOA before and didn’t realize all of this. So we don’t blame the campground. We should have done more research before bookin

we are usually trailer campers , had to make a quick trip east and decided to utilize koa cottages, this cottage we payed in advance , was very warm inside, hot weather we got in at 1145pm , a/c was not on and my wifes feet were brown within 10 minutes of walking barefoot on the cottage floor, alot of cobwebs around kitchen cabinets as well. we will not recommend cabins,cottages, due to cost.

Staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. When they heard we had dogs with us they gave us a spot with a private fenced yard. Internet access was stellar!! Great place to stay

The staff was nice. My tent site was right next to a body of stagnant water. I got bit several times by mosquitoes even after applying bug repellent. That ditch should be filled in.

We generally plan a night or two at Buckeye Lake whenever we travel north. It is one of our favorite campgrounds. This time we got a deluxe sight and it was great. ( just a note- it was site 326 and the street light was blown out). I also would suggest that you post signs when mosquito spraying is going to occur. Thanks

The staff was nice & very friendly.We were in the new pull thru spots.It was nice & the patio was very large, but the camper site next to us was very close to our patio which made it somewhat uncomfortable.The TV cable froze up the first evening we were there,we reported it to the staff & they said they'd look into it.Next day reported it to the manager.It was not fixed by the time we left.

Campground undergoing major reconstruction. Not a very relaxing experience.especially on a weekday. Employees need to learn what guest are and address their needs not their own.

We had a great time!!! The play ground & equipment could be more up to date. There was no sticks for shuffle board. Instructions for chess would have helped. Kids loved the jump pad !!!

We had a great time! Everyone was very pleasant. Bingo was MY favorite activity!!! My husband liked the corn hole tournament!!! The kids loved the store of course � And best of all we made some new friends!!

We had a vehicle break down on our eastern US tour and were stranded just before a holiday weekend. The ENTIRE staff at Buckeye Lake were AMAZING and did everything they possibly could to make us feel welcome, safe and valued. Upon arrival we were given a site without septic at our request because we had planned to stay only one night and be on our way. Our truck broke down before the next morning so we ended up needing space for nearly 3 weeks! It was unplanned and could have been a disaster but the whole team went to work for us and helped us through our time of need. They even referred us to someone to pump out our waste tanks when needed. WAY above and beyond service! I wish every other Camp ground we have visited could take lessons from the team at Buckeye Lake! Thank you to the entire crew! We hope to visit again next year when we do our west coast and northern US tour!
