I liked the large site's. The site was pretty level. Service was great. Wish the weather had been better, but overall very nice place. I will be back again. Will be sharing this with friends and other's.

Although the weather was not great- we had a good time. There was lots to keep the kids busy, clean facilities, and nice staff. There was not hot water on our 2nd day for showers- which was a bummer with the cold weather. Also, I feel like kids should be able to be at the bounce pad on their own if their parents say it is ok.

I was surprised with how much clutter there was at this campground. Old picnic tables, old and abandoned campers. Picnic areas were full of storage from caretakers. Large pot holes and very muddy throughout lanes. Playground very outdated. Pet walk area had downed trees and was not accessible.

Wonderful weekend! It would be nice to have some benches for parents to sit on at the playground and the air jumping mat while we supervise the kids.

Well kept. Staff friendly and competent! Tight quarters (is reason for 4 stars, not 5). Very family friendly and there seemed to be a lot of camaraderie amongst campers from all over. Dogs well behaved.

The charge for visitors, our visitors (2 adults) visited for 3 hours. The pool was not open, none of the game area attractions were available. The mosquito were out in full force. Couldn't enjoy the patio after dusk because they bit us from head to toe, even using mosquito repellent. The area needs treated for mosquitoes, likely from a small swamp/creek. We would not recommend this campground.

The campground was well maintained and very nice and the staff was really friendly, if it weren’t for the swarms of mosquitoes I would probably stay there again. I’ve been camping since I was young and this was the worst mosquito experience I’ve ever had camping. Bug spray with Deet didn’t even help.

We had last minute change to our trip and needed a stop around the Columbus area. We stayed here last October and it was very good. We called and they could accommodate us for the night. We had a very level, long and a full service site with a patio. We had asked for wood and it was there. The only issue we had were the mosquito’s. They had not sprayed yet. We will be back. Great KOA

I had a wonderful stay at the KOA Buckeye Lake. Everyone on the staff was very friendly it was spotlessly clean. It was actually the best KOA state I’ve ever had.

I chose Buckey Lake from an internet search. I was looking for a stop close to I-70 and at the right distance to break up our two-day travel. The campground was very easy to get to, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay here again. G. Horne Highland, MD.

Nice campground, friendly staff. Our only negative was the mosquito swarms, we could not enjoy sitting outside in the evening at all. Maybe find ways to control them.

The only issues we had was mosquitos which is part of nature just concerned maybe more fogging would help but overall we love it there and will return in September

The campground was very well located for our visit to Ohio and near enough to our family which is why we visited. A couple of things we were unhappy with is the spacing between sites and the mass amount of mosquitos. The lack of drainage in the creek to keep the water moving may have been the culprit for the mosquitoes. That part was awful, there was no getting away from them!

Awesome extended weekend and great weather ...friendly staff and excellent quick service to meet our needs. Pull thru sites met our expectations and quiet at night. We would recommend and go back.

Our stay was seamless process wise - easy check in, friendly staff, great directions, etc. The Cabin however was not great at all, especially for a Deluxe Cabin. It was showing its age with peeling paint on the deck and was not very clean.

Nothing really to do and the mosquitos were horrible (obviously nothing can be done about that) but otherwise a nice campground. Everyone was really nice. The security guard was so awesome!!!!!!

We loved our stay at KOA Buckeye Lake, we enjoyed it so much that we cancelled our trip to TN in a couple weeks and are coming back here!

The staff was very nice, however, the mosquitos were so bad you could not sit outside. We could not even eat outside because they were so bad. It would have been nice if they sprayed. They also pack you in so tight you don't have much room between campers. There were no activity schedules so you knew what was going on, so we missed most of the events.

Site was nice but with construction going on every day and even on the weekend it made the stay unpleasant. The guy dragging the bucket back and forth across the gravel was unbearable. Also the mosquito were horrendous during our stay due to the standing stagnant water. I understand construction but timing and a reduction on the weekend would have helped.. couldn’t even enjoy a meal..

Close to I-70, we enjoyed our stay. The campsite was level. Campsite was clean and bath facilities were also clean. We really loved having the doggie park! Highly recommend this KOA!!

We really enjoyed our stay. Our campsite was much smaller than we are used to, but it worked out fine for us. The bathrooms were by far the cleanest we’ve ever been in at any campground. Staff was great and we observed them working round the clock taking care of guests’ needs. We will definitely be back.

Nice staff. Pool wasn’t open yet. Mosquitos were a nuisance but staff assured me they spray twice a week to control. We’d stay there again.

My only complaints are the ridiculous number of mosquitoes and that other people near me tended to be loud late at night. It didn't seem to have as many amenities and KOA Holiday locations do, but that may just be a Covid issue (and therefore like comparing apples to oranges). I did love all the trees though. There's also a pizza place, bar, and coffee shop in super easy walking distance.

Rhonda and her team made us feel very welcome. I had recently fallen and husband went to check on a golf cart rental because I had foot wrapped and using a cane. Rhonda heard and let us use a golf cart to see the campground. The only place that has done this. We will definitely be back. Not because of the amenities but for the awesome caring people that work there.

The light on the electrical post what is flashing like a strobe light all night because it was malfunctioning. Light was right outside our bedroom window and was very annoying.

We had a vehicle break down on our eastern US tour and were stranded just before a holiday weekend. The ENTIRE staff at Buckeye Lake were AMAZING and did everything they possibly could to make us feel welcome, safe and valued. Upon arrival we were given a site without septic at our request because we had planned to stay only one night and be on our way. Our truck broke down before the next morning so we ended up needing space for nearly 3 weeks! It was unplanned and could have been a disaster but the whole team went to work for us and helped us through our time of need. They even referred us to someone to pump out our waste tanks when needed. WAY above and beyond service! I wish every other Camp ground we have visited could take lessons from the team at Buckeye Lake! Thank you to the entire crew! We hope to visit again next year when we do our west coast and northern US tour!
