One of the nicest koa's we've ever stayed at! Has an awesome little breakfast spot a giant playground for kids, bike trail that spans 8 miles, a pool, upon, and lots of clean and nice tent campsites

Super nice and helpful staff. They went out of their way to accommodate our jeep with roof top tent. Can’t say it enough, really nice people and a great little campground.

We booked a tent site with power over the phone and when we arrived we had been given a site with nothing except some grass to put down at. For a family of six, two of them under 5, it was important to us to have the kind of site that we thought we had booked.

The tent camping sites were overgrown and left over trash in the high grass, all trash cans and bins were overflowing, the showers had no hot water at 5:46am. Because of the leftover refuse in the tent area the ants and flies were unbearable . The other campers in tent camping left their dogs out at night teathered to the fence and whinning and barking most of the night

Nice staff, nice Mom & Pop campground. Not what I would expect from a KOA. Paid a KOA price but didn't get a KOA experience. Amenities would be ok for half the price. Wouldn't recommend to anyone for the price w/o the expected accompaniment of KOA amenities/experience.

If you are a tent camper this may not be the place for you. Tent camping is in a big open field between the cabins and street. No designated/marked sites, no tent pad, no designated parking for your car, no smooth terrain in the field. Very primitive for a tent camper. I gave two stars instead of one because the bathroom was quite nice. Separate vanities, sinks, and mirrors gave it homey appeal.

This seems like a stellar spot if you have an RV. As the sole tent-camper, I found the neighboring highway(?) to be noisy and the area for my tent to be less than clearly marked. (I arrived after sunset, though, so that's almost certainly my fault). I tried to park my tent where they circled on the map, but found a lot of sharp burs on the outside of my tent afterwards.

Process done online which was super easy but emailed On the safe side as we stayed in a rooftop tent. Lori the manager got back to me very quickly. Arrived after 6pm and grabbed the map. It’s a small site but adequately spaced out. Can hear traffic but wasn’t too bad kinda like white noise to me. Super windy until about 8 but dies down at night. Enjoyed the showers as well. I’d stay again!

I arrived at 7:45 pm (as indicated in the reservation). There were instructions/paperwork for other guests, but not for me. Someone was already at my site. Reservation #: 5197773. Per my reservation: "Hi david, Your reservation to stay at Burkburnett / Wichita Falls KOA has been completed and we've got a spot in the great outdoors with your name on it. See you soon!" - but no spot for me.

I did not make it the distance to stay; therefore, I did not experience it and lost $30. KOA does not have any refund for the few hours miscalculation. I will not be doing this again.

The pool is great and opened 24/7 ! Family was under a tent that night when a severe storm fell on us. We had to collapse the tent and hide in the car during 2 hours. I wish there were a shelter for this kind of situation. Unfortunately there was only the bathroom...Because this site is located in a tornado corridor, I would have a appreciated a warning from the owner.

I wish you consider letting people rent clean grills. All your grills are rusty and dirty. Also maybe spray tent site to reduce the flying bugs? I gave up in trying to cook anything, bugs won, it's their territory. I was fortunate that there was a Cracker Barrel and Walmart near by. Other and that I enjoy my time there. I plan on visiting other KOAs.

No picnic tables at non electric tent sites. Basically just a field. No parking.

I arrived late and left early so I never met the hosts but my phone conversations were very friendly and efficient. The campground was clean and well cared for and guests quiet.

This KOA was very simple, but clean. We had reserved a tent site, but due to bad weather upgraded to a cabin upon arrival. The office person was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. It is a smaller KOA, so it was more homey than others. The only downside was location - there isn't really anything around.

Easy check in did not see any signs from the highway. The spot we had was accompanied by a lot of ants and ant piles. Tent sight was not marked well but he map showed the rv spot across from it.

My husband stayed here and really enjoyed himself. Very clean showers and bathroom. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the pool. Will stay again!!

Been on a motorcycle journey. Stayed at Burkburnett my 10th night out. I've been tenting it and the site I got there was nice. Power, a night light if wanted and a nice grassy area for my tent. Been staying at koa's since night one. I have 20 nights to go and I'm sure I'll be spending them at koa's as well. Friendly, safe and quiet.

Mr. McMullen ( Jack ? ), Laurie, and all the staff were very helpful. They helped with those unexpected things like the dead car battery that needed a jump; and the rider/bicycle transport to and from Wichita Falls for the Hotter'nHell 100 bike ride. And thanks so very much for the cabin accommodation change after the ride. It was "sorely needed". I wish you all the best.

Adequate. No one available at the office at 6:30pm - unusual based on other locations. Tent sites were unmarked and fire ant hills seemed untreated (I realize that there is a limited amount that can be done about fire ants in Texas). Overall, the place was OK; everything just seems a bit run-down. Maybe a bit expensive for what it was.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The day you checked in, yes we do close our office at 6:00pm BUT, as noted on you info we do answer the phone 24 hours a day and someone is avaiable 24 hr a day. We do not have fire ants here yet.But do have zillon "MOLES" so the dirt mounds you see are moles and we posion as many as we can.

This is a really nice KOA. Friendly staff, clean park and quiet. This is our second time here, usually just a stop over but worth it.
