Once you see the Cape Hatteras National Seashore visitors center, we are about 30 minutes south. We are located in the first town you come to, approximately 3 miles in on the ocean side. Our reservations office is a blue three story building. If you find yourself exiting civilization/town, you've passed us.

This pass unlocks multiple activities and/or goodies for your little pirates to create unforgettable memories during their camping adventure in the Outer Banks. Yo-ho-ho! Between the ocean and the sound, there is plenty of waterside fun to be had in Rodanthe. If you do not feel like getting sand and salt in your hair, though, finding rentals with a pool is a must. Our shimmering campground pool is the perfect place to relax with the kids. You do not have to worry about big waves or skittering creatures. Your little ones can splash and play while you enjoy a great book or just soak up the sun. We also have a relaxing hot tub, perfect for when the weather starts to cool.

Kids cannot wait to play all day in our ship and sea-themed playground area. Playgrounds are designed to encourage imagination while also providing a great experience in the outdoors. Little campers love having a place to call their own, and parents love having a safe space where their kids can get out some pent-up energy. Our Kamp K9® Dog Park is a great way to let your pup enjoy our campground. They can run, jump or just hang out. We have seating for you to sit and watch your pup play and bags for clean up.
All aboard the KOA Express! The Fun Train chugs through the campground several times a week. Whether your kids are big Thomas the Tank Engine fans or they just love the thrill of chugging along, the KOA Fun Train is an experience they will never forget. Runs seasonally.
Spreading joy has become an obsession all over. So we will be joining the fun by helping you and your family bring out your artistic sides for some rock'in rock painting. Every weekend from Memorial Day through Labor Day, we'll paint rocks and spread them throughout camp for others to enjoy. These small tokens are a great way to commemorate your stay at KOA. If you visit in the off-season, don't hesistate to ask the front desk for some paint & brushes!
Bring a piece of your trip home with you: Make a tye-die t-shirt each week from Memorial Day to Halloween. Your tie-dyed t-shirt will be a wearable memento from your vacation. With a demonstration and all supplies provided ($), this retro activity satisfies campers of all ages. Remember, there is no right or wrong way to tie-dye!
What treasure will you find? Bags of sand with various "treasure" inside are available for purchase at the General Store.
