Very diverse public, very quite, beach is walking distance and mainly family oriented. Staff very friend and helpful. Just want we needed for a great vacation. Also many kids activities organized.

Friendly staff, huge pool, and great location. We stayed in one of the vacation suites, in the main building. We loved having a full kitchen and a living room area for our kids to hang out. Our kids loved the playground area and jump pillow. Quick walk to the beach. We will be coming back!

Friendly and outgoing staff! Our site was a "Dune Site" and we found the Wi-Fi un-useable because of distance from the main modem. Cable has many channels however, the cable TV system is hooked in series with other sites. If someone checks out, you could be without TV. Restaurant has VERY limited hours! Not much to walk to either, but beach is nice. Sites are very good also. I'd stay again...

This campground was disappointing- on the second day there - the water was shut off due to maintenance problems for multiple hours which made our stay uncomfortable -my husband called and complained multiple times -the staff was not helpful - no refund for the inconvenience- the sites are very close together - bad wifi-the beach is beautiful but this was our first negative experience with a koa.

We were so thankful for the beautiful beach and nice pool, otherwise not much to do at the campground. There were very little activities but I know they are short staffed. Overall good campground, just doesn’t stand out among the best.

If you love camping AND you love the beach, this is the campground for you! Pet friendly (including the beach). Great campground, can’t wait to return!

Had a great stay but the camp site we had 327 was in very poor condition. The grass had not been mowed in several weeks. The pool is the finest quality you have. I feel we will start using Camp Hatteras for future vacations.

The campground is on a beautiful beach. The amenities are nice with a large pool, laundry, showers, onsite snack bar and activities. I really enjoyed the wine tasting event. The only minus I have is that the campsites are right on top of each other and you better be in shape to walk from the beach all the way to the store or pool. It is a large campground but you can rent a golf cart.

Everything was great but the bathhouses could use a little attention, the drain was clogged in one, some of the doors didn’t lock, and one of the shower heads didn’t work.

The wife and I had a great stay for our first stay in the outer banks. The KOA was very centrally located to all of the things that we were trying to do. The staff was helpful and plesent and the sight was well taken care of. Lots of fun and amenities for the family.

Bathrooms were a little dirty but otherwise a great place with mostly nice staff. The young maintenance guy was especially helpful to us!

Very clean campground overall. Awesome pool and camp store. Shelia kitchen close and convenient. Right on beach is super plus. Only complaint would we the showers could use cleaning, we were there four nights and didn’t see a change. Definitely would come again.

I enjoyed the proximity to the beach, but was disappointed in the site itself. The grass was overgrown and there was hardly enough room to park our truck after unhooking, in fact we had to park in the neighbors area one night so that they would be able to get out the following morning to leave.

Water was out for whole day. A day later water out for few hours. Cable at site 108 did not work. Reported it and no one ever showed up. Camoground as whole was run down and dirty. Was not impressed.

The bathrooms were filthy and disgusting. It seemed like they were never cleaned, especially near the pool. Amenities seemed to be in disrepair. Sites were unlevel, unmaintained and too close together. The pool and beach were nice, but I would not recommend staying because of the other issues.

Check in was 1.5 hours past the time they said we could check in, which was very irritating considering we had groceries for the week in our car going bad. Then we had to go a full day with no water because we watched a water line get dug into. Other than that, it was fine. Would stay again.

This was our 4th stay in 3 years and never disappointed. The grandson has a blast at the pool with the water slides.

I stay here often and I love this KOA, but this year had several issues. The main issue is that the bath houses need a major renovation, the main one is in bad shape. Also the cafe was closed for several days. There were no bikes or kayaks to rent on site. The golf cars were sold out, we had a major water damage during the stay (this is out of your control and we were refunded for one day).

The deluxe cabin was one of the dirtest places I have stayed. But the pool, grounds, etc, were great for the kids.

Enjoyed Beach, pool, train, trampoline and many activities like coloring and ty dye. Trash pick up was immediate. Staff were friendly. Camp store is smaller. Water failed and no signs were posted to inform guests. Bath house showers were 3 out of 5. Restrooms were no better. Stayed 1 week and never saw them being cleaned or evidence that they had been cleaned.

Great first visit here. Clean, spacious spaces with easy check in and no issues. Our only complaint is it’s a bit pricey compared to other OBX campgrounds, but assume that’s due to direct beach access.

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT! Sites are a little tight (not the worst) but don't worry, you'll get over that in about 15 minutes after you set up. Staff is friendly and helpful, campground is spic and span clean. I'm going back for sure!!

The campground is great and the staff is outstanding. My only complaint is the lack of respect other campers have by letting their kids run wild cutting through everyone's campsite. I would stay here every year for vacation but I hope other campers can learn some respect and teach their kids respect. You can't beat this campground but don't ruin it for everyone else

Was what we expected from a beach side campground. There is always a lot of people at this type of campground but they had it set up well. We had a site more towards the middle of the campground and we’re very glad for that as the sites had more room then the ones closer to the beach but it was only a 5 minute walk to the beach so you can’t beat that. The staff was very friendly and worked

Very clean camp ground. Loved the text messages keeping us updated on happenings in the camp ground and the weather. Being so close to the beach made the stay even better!!! Will be back when we get a chance!!

Loves this Koa! Their shower house is the best shower house we have experienced at a campground! The lovely lady in front office is sweet as pie :) and the dog park was always nice and clean for our precious fur babies
