Actually pretty good! Staff was super attentive. Showers were nice. A little inconvenient that bathrooms/showers were closed, but it is the off season, so makes sense.

My daughter and I rented an oceanfront cottage for a girls weekend and it did not disappoint! It had everything you could ever need and more. The views were amazing and the cottage was as clean as anywhere I have ever stayed. I will definitely be back!

Such great improvements since we were there a few months ago. The cabin was clean and had all basic needs for camping. Facilities were clean. Happy people working...friendly. It could have been a little warmer the first couple days, but you can't control that. So this is a 2 thumbs up visit. See you in a couple months.

The staff in general acted like they didn't want anyone bothering them. When I tried to get help with the wifi no one ever bothered to get back in touch with me. I tried calling the office and it went directly to voicemail. The wifi kept going out and considering how empty the campground was that does not make any sense. The cabin we stayed in could use work.

It was Extremely cold, We did not get notified the place did not having a heater, the poor neighbors went to their car in the middle of the night. I was very disappointed because we have electric blankets at home, We have a good space heater, that we could have use. I understand the weather was going to be bad, you should take the time to inform your customers about the situation staying there.

Amazing campground! Love the view, dog park & a HUGE thanks to Brad for climbing through my camper window when I was locked out with my dogs! We will be back & recommend!

Perfect location, staff was helpful and friendly. Only complaint, there was only one bathhouse open and all others were being renovated. No one notified us of this and it was difficult finding somewhere to shower late and night in the cold rain.

Very well kept facilities - we did have a problem with our electrical connection (30 amp) - the maintenance supervisor (I can't remember his name) was over to our spot and fixed it right away. Great service. We will be coming back. Richard Byers

Everything was great but the bed was hard and made the experience not as great. A good night sleep goes a long way. The grounds, the cottage, the views and the staff was one of the greatest experiences ever. Thank you.

This is a great campsite. They always send someone to help when needed. It is centrally located on the OBX. So, you can go up to Kitty Hawk or down to Hatteras or even Okracoke if you want.

Exceeded my expectations! Wow! The cabin cleanliness and amenities were outstanding! We could not have had a better stay! Also, some pretty severe storms blew through during our visit but the cabin endured it with NO issues. We were snug as a bug in a rug while Mother Nature did her thing. It was phenomenal.

Very friendly camp hosts. Easy ch cling. Very nice site backing onto ocean. So relaxing listening to waves all night.

We stayed in a suite in the main building which was very comfortable. A corner unit with kitchen, full bath, two very comfortable queen beds and a balcony looking towards the ocean (overlooking the pool). Cable tv, lots of windows, well stocked Camp Store.

We stayed for a month and found that a lot has changed for the better from 2019. The bathrooms have been remodeled with ship-lap, new shower tile, and paint. Also the hot tub was running hotter this time. Over all this is the place to stay.

Our cabin walls leaked water, the door was about a quarter inch from the frame and the wind blew in, the family shower area doesn't have enough hooks, no hot water in the bathroom sinks. But, the staff is friendly and the price is reasonable.

Like always, this campground never disappoints!! It’s staff and facilities are the best!! We will be back again soon! Definitely would suggest to book a stay here!!

Really enjoyed my trip and stay at KOA. I stayed in a suite in the main building. Room was clean and neat however the floors were absolutely disgusting. I travel for work and stay in hotels all over the country. I have never seen floors this dirty. It appears that the floors were swept/vacuumed but have not been mopped in years.

Staff was very friendly! The hottub was nice. I liked the text updates with “road closures, waterpipe repairs, freeze warnings”. We have returned for many years & looking forward to more.

Overall the stay was okay. The cabin needs painting along with maintenance. Front door was dirty and stained really bad from use. Outside railings need paint as well. Gas grill was old and dirty, unusable. Upon check in, they wanted $50 extra dollars to check-in an hour and half early. A little much for something that was available.

Was definitely not what was expected. The Deluxe cabins are definitely not deluxe and are do for a major upgrade. Very expensive for location ($10 for a bundle of wood) cost $5 anywhere else. Should use that on upgrading the camp. Not going to lie probably won’t stay again.

We love staying here. The staff is super friendly. The quick access to beach and bay are awesome. The sights we stay at are roomy and well maintained.

We stayed in the suites that are on the third floor of the main building. Our stay was great. We could see and hear the beach the whole time and were able to walk in the sand, collect shells, and see the sunrise and sunset almost every day. It is a great place to stay and use as a base camp which is what we did. From here the light houses and national parks are all a short drive.

Nice campground itself but the service was sub-par at best. Waited a very long time to get escorted to our site after arrival. Went to the camp store and bought several items including wood. Was told wood would be there in 20-30 mins. After over an hour texted the main number, nobody replied for several hours. Took me going to the camp store again to get someone to bring the wood. Worst KOA exp.

Loves this Koa! Their shower house is the best shower house we have experienced at a campground! The lovely lady in front office is sweet as pie :) and the dog park was always nice and clean for our precious fur babies
