Location was good. But for a KOA that charges as much for a cabin in November as a nice hotel room, it was disappointing. The deluxe cabin didn't have heat, had no hot water for the shower and the lights in the mini kitchen area did not work. Neither the office staff nor the ground staff were helpful. Finally gave up asking and went and bought our own trash bags. Expected a little better.

Deluxe cabin was dirty. We had cockroaches. They did come out and spray but it was unsettling and uncomfortable. Toaster did not work and only half of the grill worked. EXTREMELY rude call from an employee at about 8:00 pm one day into my stay asking why I had not checked and how I got a golf cart. I was clearly checked in and paid. Overall not a good experience.

We stayed in a camping cabin, and had a great time! Can't wait to go back next year!!

Nice location on OBX, accommodations were comfortable. Would have been nice to have some additional trash bags in the room for taking some of the trash out. Otherwise great view and enjoyable time.

Too many rules - staff only wants you to text them when you have concerns. They do not want to interact with you in person and they do not answer their phones. Nice location, only outdoor campground staff is friendly.

Needed an unexpected stay as we traveled by foot. Loved the suites and while never stayed at a KOA will definitely now based on this experience

I had to leave early because of weather and Hwy 12 possible closing. I was reimbursed the full amount of the night I lost! Thanks KOA! Hesta

Staff was friendly and kind. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool lights were so bright we couldn’t enjoy nights on the porch. Perhaps shades that allow only downward cast light.

Pricey for campground but lots of fun activities for kids. Cabin definitely had some wear and tear, maybe because it was end of the season. Overall though we had an amazing time!! Will definitely stay again.

Ease at check in, very nice staff Our cabin had a few issues, dirty fan, sandy floor upon check in. Neighbors next door, very loud until 11;30 pm. (I heard one of the staffs family was in that cabin?) other then that very nice

This is our 3rd trip to Cape Hatteras KOA. The 1st was great (after rebuilding from last hurricane), 2nd was so-so and the 3rd was the last time for us. All of the "deluxe" accommodations need to be remodeled or not rented out, they are in that bad of condition.

We have stayed here before in the guest house which was awesome. This stay was in a 4-person cabin. The cabin was great- the bathrooms were not. Showers had broken door locks, motion sensors out of order so showering in pitch black, and about 75% of the toilet stalls were locked and out-of-order. Everything about this KOA is top-knotch except for the community restrooms/showers.

Very nice staff. Room was clean when we arrived. Very short walk to the ocean which is nice. Room had a good view of the sound side.

Rented a cabin Friday - Tuesday, place was clean, neat, and orderly. Everything is within a short walk. 2 things that need improvement are the permanent camper sites seem a little piled up some with even none running vehicles parked. Went to exchange towels and the front desk made us count out each used towel and wash cloth right in the front lobby floor and place the used linens in a bag.

Loved the camping cabin. Love the amenities. Two reasons I didn't give 5 stars. The mosquitoes were terrible! They should have something to help around the pool area. And not charge $10 for a bottle of bug spray. I asked about bike rentals because it is listed but was told they don't do bike rentals and haven't for a long time. Front desk people acted like I was crazy for asking.

Staff was all very friendly and helpful. The elevated cabin we stayed in seemed like it had previous water damage as there were stains all over the walls that could have been mold or mildew, and the air quality was quite stuffy. Never could get wifi to work during our stay, but we were fine to disconnect from the internet for a while.

Stayed in the deluxe cabin this time, assumed it was like the picture, didn't realize there were also deluxe cabins that had a flight of steps which is the one we got, with a long walk to the beach. The coffee pot which I assumed would make a pot of coffee since we had a room that sleeps 8, was a 1 cup pod pot, was able to buy the pods but feel like I was fooled. The beds were very comfortable.

Very nice campground on the ocean! It was raining most of our stay but we did get to enjoy the hot tub and breakfast on site! Had the deluxe cabin and it was spacious! We were right on the road and concerned with road noise but I never heard anything when I was in cabin! We will be back!

Suite was great. All stay were helpful and friendly. Most likely rent deluxe cabin or larger kitchen suite on our next stay.

Cape Hatteras KOA location is so amazing. The beach was only a few minutes walk. Our children had an amazing time chasing the waves and playing in the sand. The staffs are so friendly, they even took us to our cabin upon arrival. The hot jacuzzi was so handy and relaxing because it was cold when we where there. It was very windy and staying in the cabin was perfect for our family.

Worst stay ever. Check in was a nightmare and once I finally was given the ok (which I paid for early checkin before 3) and room wasn’t ready until 320 walking into a cleaning employee breast feeding on the couch who told me to leave. Beginning of many many issues which I blame on mngment. I did stay only one night instead of the two. Writing letter to corporate which will probably do NO good!

We had a wonderful time. Had our wedding ceremony on the beach and reception in the Wave room. It was a beautiful day and an awesome week.

The stay was great. My son loved the bounce pad and walk in swimming pool. The swimming pool was wonderful since we is only 2 and cannot swim. I gave 4 star instead of 5 because the twin beds in the cabin we were in were lofted. This was the handicap accessible cabin and the staircase up to the loft was very steep and narrow, which could have been a problem if my child was handicapped.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin, and it perfect. From the porch there's a great view of the sunset. The staff was very accommodating.

Loves this Koa! Their shower house is the best shower house we have experienced at a campground! The lovely lady in front office is sweet as pie :) and the dog park was always nice and clean for our precious fur babies
