Wow, everything we needed for our stay in a deluxe cabin, was supplied. I'm just so impressed. We stay often in our camper but this is the first time we used a cabin. We didn't know what we'd need so we waited til we got there...and found everything right there. It was a beautiful clean cabin. We'll tell all our friends. Thanks OBX KOA!

For the most part, all was good. Went during Columbus weekend so it was crowded.. bathrooms could use more cleaning throughout the day. Soap dispenser out for two days we were there. I think that charging $2 for k-cup coffee was a little much. Invest in a big coffee pot for mornings and just give a free cup out to folks. Pool and hot tub great.. access to beach great.

I would have rated the campground higher but we reported a problem with the door on Monday, was told maintenance would be there at 10. At 11:30 we called and asked if maintenance could come later in the day. No one showed. An employee told us they wouldn't do a work order until after we vacated. The door was barely hanging by the top hinge. Surprised at the lack of concern of this problem

The AC unit in cabin 518 is in bad shape. It makes very loud banging noises on a regular interval when on. We had to turn it off to get any sleep. Only one of the soap dispensers in the women's bathroom works. The showers could use a good deep cleaning. But, the pool and walkin access to the beach was nice. Some more healthy food options and 24 hour access to an ice machine would be helpful.

Love the Deluxe cabins and that dogs are permitted to stay here! Enjoy the beach and the sound, sunrises and sunsets! Had one issue where our grill had no gas left in the tank and it was taken care of immediately. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Can not wait to return.

Disgruntled employees makes for poor customer service. Also, kids are treated poorly. We lost power in our cabin, and it took hours to get wood/ice delivered. Overall good stay, but could have been much better.

My son and I had a great time and made lots of friends. We hung out with new friends at there camper and had marshmallows along with seeing there Pokémon cards.

Very disappointed this time. Checkin our lady was not kind very short with me. Our cabin heat was on and would not turn off plus the bathroom light was a mess. Guy came fix the heat said would be back for the light and never did. Two cabins and over 1000 dollars very disappointed. The Parkers

personally been coming here for 6 years, the group that we represent has been staying here for 21 years. accommodations are nice and well maintained. staff is friendly and helpful. location is well located so day trips north or south are easy. there are many local shops and restaurants nearby. the weather this year was SPECTACULAR for the last week in Sept. can hardly wait for next year!

We are new to the camping world. We rented a deluxe cabin as well as a rustic. I was surprised to not have fitted twin sheets in the deluxe cabin. I would have liked a small heads up so I could have brought my own, but that is something you learn for the next trip. Overall we had PERFECT weather, and could have only asked for more time spent here. The property has all the entertainment needs.

A cabin stay for 3 days. Other friends/family camped and stayed in other cabins. Our cabin was clean and easily accessible to pool and ocean

Overall a good experience . Was not too happy that the restaurant was closed on Wednesday . There were no notification . My wife and I walked there for breakfast and not even a note on the door . She has severe health issues so it was a big deal for her to make that walk . Late check in and still had to wait . Saw a couple of roaches . We will return and hope those issues are fixed .

When I first arrived the bathrooms were dirty and showers were filthy. I'm really glad that I carry Lysol wipes with me so I could wipe down the shower before I took my first one. But after we said something they were all clean. Thank you for paying attention to us. I always love my time at Cape Hatteras KOA.

My wife and I stayed in a cabin thus trip and it was a good experience. Everyone was very friendly. My only 1 complaint is that I had a cockroach on me in the middle of the night. I know because I woke up and it was still on the ground next to the bed.

Rented a pet friendly cabin, it was nice, but in bad need of repainting, thorough cleaning to rid musty (not pet) smell. The cabin had roaches crawling around killed several each day/night we were there. Daylight crack under door sure didn't help situation with the roaches I’m sure. Overall campground was nice and quite.

We loved the closeness and access to beach. Being able to see the sound from back of deck was amazing! Also not having to go through a lobby or elevator made us feel safe from the covid. Restaurant had great food w/lots of options and pool area was beautiful! However the roach/palmetto bugs were disappointing. Door on inside needs cleaning/painting and does not seal at bottom. Hence bug entry.

The campground and amenities were really great. The bathhouse nearest our cabin was fairly clean but didn't seem to be cleaned every day (you could tell by toothpaste stains in the sink). The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our camping cabin was very clean but the door was broken and didn't close all the way. It was fine but I could see that being a problem if it was really cold outside.

Upon arrival our accommodations were not what we are used to at KOA's we have stayed at in the past. The cabin we were in did not even have a door that completely sealed. My husband expressed the concerns to the lady working reception, but was not offered anything other than paying additional money to stay in a deluxe cabin for 2 of the 4 nights we were there. I enjoyed my stay. There are a few minor complaints. The fire pit area was a little over grown with grass. I had to pull some of the overgrown grass to sit by the fire ring. Also, Ive never been to the Outer Banks before. Some places are closed on Mondays amd Tuesdays. One must plan accordingly if you are gonna eat out a lot. The wi fi is spotty. Otherwise, the place/cabin was clean. Thank

We really enjoyed our stay. We did find 2 roaches in our cabin, which was unsettling. We had to take the whole bed up to find/kill the one that scurried under there! We wanted to transfer to another cabin but knew it was a full house so there probably wasn't an opening, and it would have been a lot of trouble for us, although worth it. But our stay was only for 2 nights, so we just lived with it.

Love the KOA as a campground, however, if you stay in the "Vacation Suites" note that there is not daily service, and no matter how many nights you stay, you only get coffee for one night (otherwise you must purchase it). The suites are very clean and great but at the price of a high end hotel you do not receive the same amenities.

It’s in a great location and clean. We stayed in a Deluxe cabin which was a mistake. When we first arrived the cabin looked very clean which was a pleasant surprise. Then as we got ready for bed we started to see random little bugs around. As the night went on roaches were everywhere in that cabin. We left that same night. I reported the issue the next day to office who gave us a partial refund.

We love the Cape hatteras KOA but our stay was interrupted by an infestation of Roaches. There were a lot. My family tried to make the best of things but we weren't comfortable in our lodging. The front desk did send someone to spray but we continued to have bugs. We asked for other accommodations but understandably there was no where else to go. We love everything else. Hopefully it won't reoccur

The only problem I had with my cabin was that the Air Conditioner was not adjustable. It was about 9 ft in the air and no way to access it, and no remote control.

Loves this Koa! Their shower house is the best shower house we have experienced at a campground! The lovely lady in front office is sweet as pie :) and the dog park was always nice and clean for our precious fur babies
