It had been 16 years since our last stay in a rustic cabin! The renovated property was beautiful! The addition of an A/C unit in the cabin was a wonderful surprise! The guys on the property keep everything clean and orderly! Kudos to the maintenance/grounds staff! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay! We look forward to coming again! Thank you!

The AC unit in my cabin did not work. Behind our bed headboards and under the best was filled with dust. I had to pull out the bed to clear away the dust so it wouldn’t get in my hair. I like coming there but the cleanliness of the cabins and stringy hair in the bathrooms are always an issue.

It was perfect until our cabins electricity went crazy so we had to move cabins & waste half of our day but other than that it was a great stay!

The check in was the worst they kept saying it was being cleaned but it was done they could not find the key. Come to find out the manager had it. We did not get checked in until 3:30. I think we should be compensated with free nights.

Very disappointed. Room we reserved in lodge not available. Extra charges for every little item, including room key & ice for our room. Check in staff not only unfriendly, not helpful. also told us go to Sheila’s Cafe until room ready. It wasn’t open & the cafe told us to leave. AC didn’t work, many calls for maintenance, including 10:30 pm!! People next unit cursing, blasting music entir

Nice room. Beautiful sound view. Loved the beach access. All staff were very nice & helpful. Grounds seemed to be well maintained & clean. Love that this KOA is dog friendly, excited to bring my girls back for a gun time.

My wife and I and my puppies have to say that our stay was above all expectations. We are both career chefs and hospitality people. A big thanks to Ted who has done an amazing job and all of the staff who go above and beyond. Our cabin was perfect. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you all so much for making our stay maybe one of the the best we have ever had in 22 years of marriage

Nice location and facilities except... the cabin we stayed in was hardly "deluxe". Soft spots in the floor, shower (no tub either) that cycled hot to cold every other minute, a roach waking across my head at midnight, ants wandering around on the counter and just generally not "deluxe". Well used or worn cabin would be more appropriate. Not worth the money even using KOA points.

Loved our stay. However, one the small air conditioners in the cabin was SO loud we couldn’t use that room for sleeping. It also had a very hard time cooling that small room. We always stay in the same cabin, and unfortunate are very familiar with this loud air conditioner. It needs to be replaced. Other than that, we love our cabin.

Location was superb, amenities were nice. Staff were not friendly, we were not greeted with a smile or offered one thank you. Even upon departure the same staff we’re not friendly again. It’s a shame upon entering and exiting staff do not greet with a smile or welcome or at the very least say thank you.

We had a fantastic time!! Your staff is exceptional. They treated us so nicely. When we needed something, they responded quickly. The facility is absolutely awesome. The fact that you can walk to the beach is a huge plus. You offered so many activities. I recommend this KOA to everyone!! We will surely be back!!! We loved it here.

Thank you Cape Hatteras KOA! Our family had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The facilities are exquisite, clean and very resort caliber. The beach access is priceless. We love KOA quiet hours too. Absolutely everyone quiets down around 9PM. If you have kids to put to sleep this is a wonderful perk.

Big thank you! Awesome activities for kids! But please make the rates a bit more affordable! Our family would love to stay at KOA Hatteras for a longer vacation but the rates are quite too high unfortunately.

Loved the cabin and amenities! Great location and helpful staff. Noise level was very reasonable and appropriate. Really liked the text messages during the stay to keep guests in the loop. Pool could have been warmer and showers in bathhouse need an update. However, the experience was overall very good! Will definitely consider staying again!

Our room was very dirty, feet were black after walking across the floor. We put towels down to walk on, will not stay in the rooms ever again. Campground itself is very nice. Also, the ice delivery truck shows up every morning at 6am. The throwing of the ice bags and rumble of the trucks woke us up every morning. We could literally feel the building shake as they threw the ice. Hotel rooms are bad

Upon arriving we had to wipe down surfaces that were covered in dog hair and sand from the previous guests as well as sweeping the stairs which were full of sand. We had to deal with ants and cockroaches our entire stay. The shower temperature oscillated between hot and cold with rarely a moment that was in-between. Looks as though maintenance is much needed with almost all deluxe cabins.

We stayed in a Camping Cabinover Labor Day weekend. Cabin and site were clean, text for ice and wood delivery was a welcome surprise. Kids enjoyed the jumping pillow, pool, and of course the beach. Amenities for the dogs were great with plenty of disposal areas and the dog wash at the bath house which came in handy before the drive home.

The campground was very clean, bathrooms were clean and great activities. I was a little disappointed in how close the cabins are to each other. We had a campfire and our campfire ring was about 4-5 feet from the next ring. Our backs were nearly touching. Otherwise, the campground was very nice.

Beautiful location! So much to do and amazing views! We had a super peaceful weekend! The kids loved it and we have teenagers so that is saying a lot!

The ocean front cabin smells bad, The air condition is loud. It is hard to stay 3 days without clean service, no towel exchange either. We left one day early. The pool, bouncing pad and playground are nice. During the stay, beach is windy, very stormy. not recommend for families with little kids.

We had a great time there! The only problem was we had no internet in our cabin. When we got home I saw my receipt for our stay . We did not get the 10% Veterans discount. I asked for that when we checked in and she said we will get it. I called this KOA and am now waiting for the manager to call me about this. We also booked a cabin for next year.

This campground is our favorite! I would like to see actual recycle bins. I think the aluminum bins you have are too close to trash and visitors get confused. Also, time to do some repairs on the showers. The employees are great! The pool is amazing! We will be back next year!

As always I enjoyed the KOA....The location is great, the activites are great. I stay at the 2 bedroom cabins and my only complaint would be the cleanliness. For the cost of a night I feel as they are not clean and they all need a heavy paint job. Other than that, beds comfy. Appliances are plenty. Cleanliness is the issue.

Everything was fabulous. The pool was freezing though! Even with it being over 80 degrees outside and the sunshine we couldn't enjoy the pool.

We stayed in the basic camping cabins over Labor Day weekend 2021. The facilities were very clean and the service was excellent! Despite the fact that it was a holiday weekend, there were so many activities to do at the resort that people were well spread out. It never felt overly crowded. The pool was amazing! Our only complaint was small sites.

We stayed in one of the Villas above the Store. It was very comfortable and spacious, with everything we needed for our stay. Our only negative experience was the bright spot lights from the pool that shone through our patio windows all night and made it difficult to sleep. There needs to be heavy blackout curtains on those patio doors! Other than that, we had a very enjoyable stay.

Well it was not the best, we were not treated very well and they did make up for some of it but there are some rude people working there at the moment. We have also been very disappointed with the bathhouse it’s pretty much disgusting all the time. And the best thing about the campground is the fact that it’s on the beach of course but the campground itself really needs some love and attention

I had a wonderful and relaxing time. I stayed in a cabin and this year the showers and bathrooms were clean. Yay!! Many thanks to the hard-working crew who kept them that way. The grounds were also kept beautifully.

Loves this Koa! Their shower house is the best shower house we have experienced at a campground! The lovely lady in front office is sweet as pie :) and the dog park was always nice and clean for our precious fur babies
