Amenities are nice. Bathrooms and showers could be cleaner. AC in the camping cabin was unreliable. We love the access to the beach and sound, and having a camp store with the essentials is nice.

Friendly employees… the grass and grounds could be better maintained. Nice pool area.

Very friendly staff, clean and well maintained room, Camp Store well stocked and the Pool Area / Campground very clean and maintained. As a Bonus the attached Carolina Kitchen had great food and friendly staff.

We recently rented a cabin which had a few issues; the bath plug did not work so I was unable to give my young kids a bath. The mattress on the couch pull out was very thin and uncomfortable. My main upset was the bugs, there were ants that quickly came into our cabin and on our last night there were atleast ten water bugs that were crawling around. I was unable to sleep in the cabin that night.

2nd visit to Cape Hatteras KOA (cabin 1504). I completely understand being short staffed but the cabins just arent cleaned well. I also get being in a wet climate but we had a huge roach problem. We killed multiple every day, including at night crawling in our beds. I can't say with confidence that we will pay these prices to feel so uncomfortable. If we had our own camper, maybe.

The stay was good just wish that the cabins were better sealed so the Window unit could keep the cabin cool But I would definitely stay there again

We had a great time, but the cabins are not as clean as what they used to be. This is a little unnerving when you must consider whether or not the cabins are properly sanitized due to COVID-19.

Your camp ground is wonderful! We stayed in one of the ocean front cabins, which was delightful, clean, gorgeous view. We did have an issue with the hot water, which the office and Bradley helped us solve. Everyone we dealt with couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Thank you for a fun week!

Friendly staff, huge pool, and great location. We stayed in one of the vacation suites, in the main building. We loved having a full kitchen and a living room area for our kids to hang out. Our kids loved the playground area and jump pillow. Quick walk to the beach. We will be coming back!

Check in was 1.5 hours past the time they said we could check in, which was very irritating considering we had groceries for the week in our car going bad. Then we had to go a full day with no water because we watched a water line get dug into. Other than that, it was fine. Would stay again.

I stay here often and I love this KOA, but this year had several issues. The main issue is that the bath houses need a major renovation, the main one is in bad shape. Also the cafe was closed for several days. There were no bikes or kayaks to rent on site. The golf cars were sold out, we had a major water damage during the stay (this is out of your control and we were refunded for one day).

The deluxe cabin was one of the dirtest places I have stayed. But the pool, grounds, etc, were great for the kids.

This was our first campground and KOA stay. The only thing we could have wanted was more time!! Perfect place to make some family memories! We are already trying to plan a trip back with more family members!

Comfortable and friendly staff. We loved the large clean pool, beach access, live music, and fun events (tie dying and painting sand dollars). We stayed in a suite enjoying the room and comfortable parking. Would have liked alittle more in terms of kitchen facilities (silverware, plates, glasses would help)

The cabin we stayed in (505) needs lots of work! From a cracked floor that was an actual hole under the bunks leg- I had to plug with a paper towel to the door having a severe gap all the summer heat was rushing in so the a/c didn't properly work. We covered the door with a blanket just to get cool. The grounds were clean but sooo many bugs in the showers!! It was Nasty and drains were clogged.

Great stay. One suggestion would be to include a mini fridge in the cabins. The cabin was perfect for us, AC was wonderful to come back to after a day out. Staff was awesome as always.

I have been coming to this location since 2003, and have stayed at different sites (RV, tent site, deluxe cabin and cabin). I would highly recommend cape hatteras KOA but was surprised how understaffed the sites were. The bathrooms were extremely dirty, and there were less activities for kids and youth. I hope the KOA campsite can be brought back to what it used to be. I‘ll come back next year.

It was absolutely disgusting. We ended up leaving early because how gross the cabin and bathrooms are. I even called and made complaints and nothing got better. Will never stay there again which is a shame because I have been there many times over the years.

Room was unclean, much dust and dirt under beds. Wi-fi was never available. Told it was new service. Could never get on. Doors to balcony we both broken, had to use a chair to prop door to be sure I could re-enter. Nobody checked my room to see if I needed anything.my stay cost $800+ and certainly felt it was extremely over priced. Thank you

First time glamper, we really enjoyed our visit. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The bathrooms/ pool were clean. We were able to wash and dry clothes. The staff were always happy! We came to relax, and KOA provided that for sure. We scheduled another visit for October. Thank you for such a nice visit !

The pool area and Sheila’s kitchen was amazing! Staff was overall friendly. The cabins I thought were a little yucky because of ants and some bugs. The staff very quickly addressed the ant issue when we first arrived. The bathrooms I thought could have been cleaner.

Our A/C in our cabin wasn't working properly. They sent someone to look at it but they couldn't fix it. I asked if we could be moved to another cabin and they not only moved us to another cabin but it was even bigger than the one we had originally booked! We would definitely stay here again!

Definitely I love this place! Year after year the environment is more familiar. The staff are very attentive. The showers need to be repaired, I hope that next summer they will be better. See you 2022�. Thankfully!!

Loved our stay so much we’re already booking our next visit. On the beach but short drive to empty, wide open beaches if you want to avoid others. Only recommendation would be to clean the restrooms / showers more often and fix all the shower doors.

Loved it, great amenities and location! Only note, bathrooms ran out of toilet paper in the evenings and could have used another cleaning around that time. Overall though, loved it!

Loves this Koa! Their shower house is the best shower house we have experienced at a campground! The lovely lady in front office is sweet as pie :) and the dog park was always nice and clean for our precious fur babies
