This is our favourite KOA in the region! The campground is lovely & there are many activities for kids. We love the location - and the walking in the country is fantastic. The owners and staff are superb. We are made to feel like family. 1 negative comment: The internet service is spotty at the best of times & non-existent at our last visit. I would give them a 5+++ if it weren't for that

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our apologies for the internet issue, the box that sends the signal to the park burned out. We had to locate and new one and my son drove to Trenton the next day to pick it up so we didn't have to wait for deliver. After a day of reprogramming the system is now back up and running well.

Unbelievably clean and well maintained park. Lots of activities and play structures for the kids. We had a great time and plan on coming back next year.

The campground did a good job of working within COVID restrictions to ensure a good stay. Quiet time was quiet! Sites were good sized and maintained.

We had a lovely time and appreciated the many amenities at this campground. Everything was clean and well-maintained. It was lively and family-oriented, and quieted down nicely in the evening.

Exceptional service! Staff went full out with all activities and delivered an amazing experience!! Our site was perfect! We were really impressed and look forward to going back sometime.

The Cardinal KOA team went above and beyond expectations, opening quickly as Ontario's public health rules changed. They were able to accommodate a large number of campers safely, while still maintaining all the fun of a KOA team. Bravo to the owners, and the summer staff (many familiar, returning faces).

All the activities was very nice with all the COVID situation everything was done carefully like the bingo at the radio this was amazing. Thanks for all the activities the kids want to go back for sure

This campground is one of our favorites - the owners Karen and Dan run an immaculate campground with many fun activities. Their Halloween weekends are amazing and you will not find better anywhere else.

They run an organized campground but it’s by far our most favourite!! They really go above and beyond from an amazing fireworks display at Labor Day to a pumpkin walk and they modified the usual Trick or treating with a Halloween parade - 175 treat bags!! This team is amazing �

3rd stay this season. Thanksgiving weekend was the best! All the usual Cardinal activities, PLUS the amazing pumpkin walk and the Spooktacular haunted house at night. Props to the owners for going above & beyond at Halloween. This KOA is decidedly family friendly, impeccably maintained and we can’t wait to come back next year.

The owners are awesome! They are always running around ensuring everyone has everything they need and having fun. The organized activities were the best, especially during covid. The kids had so much fun! Cant wait for camping season 2021!

This campground is always the best. This is the ONLY campsite where I see the owners doing everything. Dan does everything from helping with events, to cooking, to pumping ppl out. He leads by example.

Vraiment un beau camping. Halloween est célébré avec une marche éclairée aux citrouilles décorées et sculptées, il y en avait des centaines. La maison hantée, Wow!

To see all the staff working very hard in different aspects of the camping ground and seeing so many staff and campers appreciating our music playing and telling was wonderful!

Came for a visit at the end of July. We stayed in one of the cabins. The campground is well maintained. There were a lot of rules. We did our best to follow them. The fact we could only use pool in 30 minute increments was a little excessive. Hopefully when the pandemic restrictions soften they will let more people use pool as it really made things less fun. The owners were ok. We didn't have a bad experience with them but when I did speak to them they certainly weren't the nicest or best hosts that we have had at KOA's. The owners weren't mean. Just seemed busy all the time. Can't be easy to run a business in a pandemic so I have to say it wasn't a deal breaker for us. The campground was only about half full. Perhaps the pandemic was the reason why or maybe the bad reviews are finally catching up to them. We used this campground as a base to go visit Ottawa. Drive to Ottawa wasn't bad. Was nice to have all the outdoor activities for the kids.

KOA I incredible ❤ I recommend 100% there so much for kids to do 2 parks a splash pad and a huge bubble to bounce on. Plus they schedule events such as the best haunted house I've ever experienced.
