We have been to a lot of campgrounds but this one is by far our favourite one. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. The staff takes pride in their daily activities and they are also very courteous and always happy to help. Quiet time is well respected which is such an important plus. Well worth trying out this campground.

It was our first stay there and it was amazing. So many activities planned and the campground was so clean. We will definitely be back!

This is the best campground we have ever stayed... Claudette & I had a great time and the facility was immaculate. The owners take pride in their property and there were 2 employees that stood out (Samantha & Shaun)... Keep up the great work !! Thanks Frank

Nice camping with plenty of mature trees. It doesn’t look like a parking for RVs. Staff are friendly. Have already book another stay.

Very quiet, clean campground. Many activities for the kids on the Saturday. The whole family enjoyed the stay. We will go back for sure in the future!

GREAT STAFF!!!! Best way to start camping season. Very clean facilities, super friendly staff, family friendly and pet friendly!!!! A must go place!!!

We were blown away by the campground. From the time you arrive, the KOA staff are eager to assist and want to ensure that your stay is a positive and memorable one. The play structures, pools and events are all coordinated with safety in mind and fun for everyone. Our grandkids have been at home throughout the pandemic - what an awesome place for their first big adventure. Thank you!

I recommend this KOA to all my friends and family with kids. There are a lot of activities for kids to do in a clean and safe environment. The facilities are well taken care. My dog enjoyed running around the fenced it dog park. :)

Real nice place, trees surrounding the park really cuts the wind inside the park. Would love to have full hook up i.e. sewer...Also it is real quite and far enough away from the 401 noise. Washroom are real nice too but someone just needs to adjust the mirror heights to accommodate adults.

Grounds, Amenities, Cleanliness, Covid Related - 5 Stars! Unfortunately, the service by staff was near terrible. Except for Sam, she was amazing! The older man (owner?) was flat out rude a few times and for no clear reason, just extremely unfriendly and unapproachable. New staff seemed very confused and not helpful. The sounds of grounds cleaning Monday/Tuesday was constant and almost unbearable.

We enjoyed our stay. We felt very safe with the covid restrictions in place. The staff was friendly and helpful. Washrooms were very clean. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful weekend, despite the rainstorm when we pulled in Friday night. We enjoyed all the activities, the pool, and especially the bubble drop. The worker Sam was so friendly, and a huge help for us when leaving at the end of the weekend!

It was quite nice except sewer service would have been handy. Man on A14 seasonal lot was noisy and not too nice to his kids. A great family campground; we brought a site map and took pictures of kids amusement for ourson and his family. Take care & stay safe. S.G.

As always we have nothing but a great time at Cardinal. I was very surprised with the dump station service. Painless and fast. We will be returning soon. If there is ever any vacancies.

We had such an amazing time as a family. The amenities were endless, the activities were so well coordinated and the facilities were immaculately kept! We can't wait to come back! We were also so impressed with staff member Sam who was a rockstar!

Dan and Karen are the best of hosts and have been excellent to deal with in the 15 yrs that we have camped at Cardinal. Even during the uncertain times over the past 18 months, they have worked with us and others to rebook us and accommodate us as lock downs have changed.

we go here a couple times a year and it's one of my grandson's favorite place. when we pull in he says, "YAY, KOA!" we are now hoping to get on the seasonal list.

We enjoyed our stay at KOA Cardinal. Beautiful and very clean park with lots of activities for the whole family. We love that there is a booking system for the pool and splash pad allowing for social distancing. We can’t wait to get back.

Stay was good. Wi-Fi was down the entire stay. Planned on working from the campground (both my husband and I) and planned for kids to continue their online schooling but we couldn't do either. They attempted to fix it once but worked for a few minutes and then nothing again. No attempts after that were made. Made us think we should have stayed at the other KOA local to us instead. Kids had fun!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our apologies for the internet issue, the box that sends the signal to the park burned out. We had to locate and new one and my son drove to Trenton the next day to pick it up so we didn't have to wait for deliver. After a day of reprogramming the system is now back up and running well.

Came for a visit at the end of July. We stayed in one of the cabins. The campground is well maintained. There were a lot of rules. We did our best to follow them. The fact we could only use pool in 30 minute increments was a little excessive. Hopefully when the pandemic restrictions soften they will let more people use pool as it really made things less fun. The owners were ok. We didn't have a bad experience with them but when I did speak to them they certainly weren't the nicest or best hosts that we have had at KOA's. The owners weren't mean. Just seemed busy all the time. Can't be easy to run a business in a pandemic so I have to say it wasn't a deal breaker for us. The campground was only about half full. Perhaps the pandemic was the reason why or maybe the bad reviews are finally catching up to them. We used this campground as a base to go visit Ottawa. Drive to Ottawa wasn't bad. Was nice to have all the outdoor activities for the kids.

KOA I incredible ❤ I recommend 100% there so much for kids to do 2 parks a splash pad and a huge bubble to bounce on. Plus they schedule events such as the best haunted house I've ever experienced.
