Campground Reviews

Roads really need to be fixed. Also, it's a little expensive to stay there. Wanted to stay longer, but I couldn't afford to do it.

We overnighted there on the way to FL and back. No cable however.

Did a quick stay here. Friendly staff made it easy from start to finish. Nice biking nearby. Easy on and off the highway.

I liked the location being right off of I-77 easy to get to the places we wanted to see and do in Charlotte but the camp ground could use a face lift it’s got nice sites just needs to be cleaned up and the roads need repair bathrooms and showers are clean and the help was very friendly you do get a lot of freeway noise but you are right off the freeway but if you are just passing through and nee

Good people, good location, nice setting

$60 for an overnight on a muddy site. Remember to watch out for the tree stump and exposed roots as you pull in and hook up. (Apparently proper maintenance and care of the property is a bit much to ask for that price?). Brown dirty water running from the hose spigot. Cable guide included at check-in, no cable at site. Nothing but greed. This place is a worn out dump.

Very helpful for a new trailer owner. Nice & instructive. Really cared! I did not give a totally thumbs up rating not because of the people, but for the amenities available. Very good stay. Not too noisy and it felt safe.

Too much dog crap everywhere. The neighbors dog even did his business on my hose and power cord. The staff was business like bordering on rude

Our favorite place to stay when we're traveling south from Central Ohio. Shopping within walking distance and nice, clean shower house.

Only stayed one night due to traveling further south. Very convenient off the interstate. Food truck at Good Eats at John's place within walking distance campground had awesome food.

Really nice people working here. It’s not glamorous, as it’s a Journey KOA. we’ve been here multiple times before and would recommend it. We are in a 40’ Class A. Sites are a mix of gravel and concrete pads.

The KOA was right off route 77 very convenient. We did not arrive until about 8PM. Had showers which were very clean and a nice big site so we could leave the car on. We left early so we never talked to anyone in the office. On the phone she was great! We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Thank you

Everything was great! Only suggestion might be to get some of the potholes filled. Other than that staff were fantastic!

Always have a good stay at the campground.

The bathroom facilities closest to us had no hot water. Of the five sinks only one sink had cold water and no hot water. The other four sinks had no water at all. There was a sign on the door saying NO showers available. We were not told this when we checked in. At $80 a night , I expect better.

We only stayed for one night. But it snowed and the heater was broken. We got a space heater from the front desk. It had a timer on it. So me and my 1 year old were warm for 2hrs then freezing for 1hr through the whole night. Also the bathrooms didn't have hot water. 19 degrees no heat or hot water. I could have slept in my car with heat for less than what I paid for the freezing cold cabin.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Too much traffic through the park to long term sites. Very noisy, main road, highway and planes. Showers across from us closed, no hot water. Did not feel safe at night. Wanted $2.00 for air in tires. Lot of dog droppings in dog area.

Charlotte Fort Mill KOA is our go to stop going down south.. It is also 20min from our sons house. We never had a bad experience while staying there & would definately recommend it to anyone to stay there. All the employees are super friendly.

We have stayed here many times. It is super close to family and while it is not what I would call getting away to nature-type camping, it is located close to Charlotte, Fort Mill, Rock Hill, etc. The staff is great and we've used this campground and full hook-ups when we are in the area, need a convenient place to stay, or even do some minor things to the RV like winterizing.

Visit again: Definitely! Campground Vibe (adult/upper scale, family/kids, stopover only): Adult, overnight and big rig friendly. Felt safe: yes GPS accuracy: yes Type of site: pull-thru Site surface (condition/leveling/material): concrete level pad with gravel all around. Spacing between sites: very generous Sewer/Electric/Water conditions: excellent Noise level: quiet Staff: EXCELLENT. I wish I had their names. Office host was so cheerful which we needed after being on the road for 28 days. The host that took us to our site was beyond helpful He took extra time to ensure we'd be perfectly level to stay hooked up to the truck. He knew the sites like the back of his hand. Campground roads: (such as trees, ditches or rocks): Easy to navigate around. Reason for our visit: our last night stop before driving the final leg home after 28 days on the road. Quiet. Relaxing and easy. I wish I had taken photos but I was just too tired.

Nice campground. Clean bath house. Walking distance to a local bar next to the gas station. Had good live music and decently priced alcohol. Friendly people.
