We enjoyed our weekend and the location and the cabin was great. The internet was terrible and the shower didn’t drain so we had to take really quick showers.

Refused to refund our deposit due to potato chips and pine needles being on the floor. Will never use KOA again.

Stayed in cabin 83B with pet. Compared to other KOA cabins with pets, this is in need of updates. Mattresses very uncomfortable, curtains very thin, security light right outside windows was way too bright for sleeping, shower drain very slow, cable TV very intermittent. The staff was very helpful and did try to resolve the light issue. If curtains were thicker, that would help.

It was weird that the Koa was literally behind a grocery store in the middle of a commercial area. Also weird that the office closed promptly at 5 pm and you had to check in at a gas station/convenience store/liquor store/bar/food truck stop after 5. All that said, it was fine. The cabin was clean. Instructions for how to check out before the office opened would be helpful.

The staff was so kind! I reserved/paid for a cabin with no shower; once I got there they upgraded me at no cost. Very Generous!!!

We only stayed for one night. But it snowed and the heater was broken. We got a space heater from the front desk. It had a timer on it. So me and my 1 year old were warm for 2hrs then freezing for 1hr through the whole night. Also the bathrooms didn't have hot water. 19 degrees no heat or hot water. I could have slept in my car with heat for less than what I paid for the freezing cold cabin.

Been staying at this facility for the past 3/4 yrs on my way down and back from Florida. Only thing I find funny is that a toilet in the men's room has been out of service now for 3 yrs.. The working toilet is a handicapped height toilet and at my height I can't touch the floor sitting on it. Otherwise a much better KOA then the other in the Charlotte area.

The kamper cabin was fantastic value. Stayed with my daughters for a trip to Carowinds. Good location, clean and great value.

The perfect oasis in a sea of city, after a12 hour drive & the trauma of driving through Charlotte city traffic, exactly what we needed! Will definitely stay here again! All 3 staff we met were great! Truly an A+++ place! Clean, quiet, welcoming, and pleasant! Cabin was perfect! Just loved it!Felt safe to even walk our service Standard Poodle-no loose dogs-all kept on short leash. Beautiful walks!

Sue and her team did great job for me and my family. There was an unforeseeable problem with our cabins and she got us into 2 new cabins right away. Very prompt with any request.

Camped koa many years. First stay in a cabin. It was great! Needs a fire pit but the grill worked out well instead. TV remote troubles but the staff worked hard to fix the issue. Very nice staff. Excellent stay. Clean and safe. Thank you KOA!

We stayed at a deluxe cabin (80B) 2 nights and had great time visiting the NASCAR Hall of Fame as well as Moochies Tavern and John’s Place. Grounds were clean and patrons were quiet. Sites do appear to be a bit too tight as I watched several struggle to get their rig exactly where they wanted. Because it’s convenient to amenities Charlotte has I would return…

This KOA is in disrepair. The campground was tiny and there wasn't much to do. The sites were on top of each other and there was no privacy. The playground was closed (blocked off) until 10am...clearly no one with kids designed that. Checkout was at 10am, yet at 930, the office was still closed. The cabin was tiny, stuffy, and the beds were aweful. The staff were nice when we saw them.

We really enjoyed the campgrounds. The people were very friendly and accomodating. The cabin had everything that is needed. The only thing I would recommend would be to add a hand soap in the bathrooms and maybe a chair inside the cabin. Other than that, it was a comfortable, relaxing, outdoorsy and very friendly place to stay.

Check in was fine very nice staff. But it went downhill from there. 1st night a dog was whining all night long, spoke to management and they told me they were aware and that it even woke them up to the point that she drove around at 2 in the morning trying to find it. Said they would talk to them.. found out they left the dog unattended and allowed them to stay. So much more would not stay again

Friendly staff and clean facilities. The bathhouses were clean and shower stalls had plenty of room to get dressed. The campground is small, but close to many stores and has several recreational options to keep kids busy. Only 8 minutes from Carowinds!

The staff is fantastic! If your looking for a Disney type of experience this isn’t it! This is a great location to base from for day trips to the lakes, mountains and restaurants. The facilities are clean. There are some site on the lower end that will remain wet during rains storms so ask your host before booking. I stayed in the rustic cabin while working in the area and loved it.

The cabin was extremely clean. The public restrooms & shower felt like hotel luxury. I liked that you needed a code to enter the bathrooms, made it more secure. I loved everything about this campground and the employees & camp hosts were very nice. The only minor issue I could come up with is that I wish checkout was at 11am not 10am. Will definitely stay at this campground again.

Our Kabin was very nice and had a tv which was a bonus for the kids. Amenities were very nice, loved the pool area. Bathrooms were the nicest we have seen thus far. I would give a five star if there was better security. Being a city campground I didn’t like that it had two open entries that anyone could enter. They had to have codes for restrooms and laundry facilities.

Cabin was clean & comfortable. We arrived around 11:45 pm and no late check in paperwork was there for us & gas station was closed. Bar was able to contact KOA staff & get us our cabin key, but we don't know what would have happened if we showed up after midnight when bar closed. Suggest leave check in brochure & leave cabin unlocked (can get key next day) & send text with that info. Kind staff.

Only issue is cabin 87B doesn’t have any way to hold the door shut without locking it. Latches were broken.

Bathrooms were IMMACULATE I’m 6’8” and showers were very spacious and clean as the whole bathroom was as well. Room was clean and spacious for my party of four. The pool was also very clean and well kept very spacious too. This is a great deal for anyone looking to stay in the area! Will be back for sure in the future.

Was absolutely horrible the owner John which is his real name he drives a black Ford Expedition. is a terrible representative of your brand. very rude. Will not being staying at that KOA ever again. On our way to myrtle beach and stopped here for two nights and the office worker’s are very friendly and the facility is well maintained restrooms was clean and shower was clean as well the surrounding area had plenty to do and plenty of places to eat and shop

Visit again: Definitely! Campground Vibe (adult/upper scale, family/kids, stopover only): Adult, overnight and big rig friendly. Felt safe: yes GPS accuracy: yes Type of site: pull-thru Site surface (condition/leveling/material): concrete level pad with gravel all around. Spacing between sites: very generous Sewer/Electric/Water conditions: excellent Noise level: quiet Staff: EXCELLENT. I wish I had their names. Office host was so cheerful which we needed after being on the road for 28 days. The host that took us to our site was beyond helpful He took extra time to ensure we'd be perfectly level to stay hooked up to the truck. He knew the sites like the back of his hand. Campground roads: (such as trees, ditches or rocks): Easy to navigate around. Reason for our visit: our last night stop before driving the final leg home after 28 days on the road. Quiet. Relaxing and easy. I wish I had taken photos but I was just too tired.

Nice campground. Clean bath house. Walking distance to a local bar next to the gas station. Had good live music and decently priced alcohol. Friendly people.
