We liked the staggered sites where we were, just above the entrance to the pet walk. Small campground which we liked and wonderful grounds to walk our dogs on in addition to the small pet zone. We were prepared that staff at check-in may not be wearing masks but still a bit unnerving. Great location in pretty area, not far from stores, vineyards and plenty of hiking/trail areas.

Our first KOA experience. Overall a very good experience. We stayed in Site 21. Friday night, people to the left of us (the higher site numbers) used the sitour right (#19 i think) as a road, roaring through well into the evening. Our camp fire time and tranquility was disturbed to the point where I considered moving our truck to narrow the road closest to the trees to slow down the drivers.

We enjoyed our stay at this KOA, it's an older park and looks like it could use a little TLC. It's the end of the season so it was kind of tired looking but overall it was ok .We had a site that gave us a nice view of a wooded area.

Great location for being near Charlottesville, liked the small size and clean restrooms. Very nice stay.

Great stay. Staff was amazing especially the young lady who checked us in. Her customer service was some of the best service we have ever gotten.

it was nice. very well laid out campground and cabins. The sites are very well leveled. The woods and trails make for a great setting. The host at the office was very helpful and accommodating.. I like the check in and check out times. We had dinner in downtown Charlottesville. We visited Montpelier, and Monticello while there and explored local roads in the area. Beautiful horse farms around.

- The staff are very accommodating regarding check-in. Since my family can't keep a schedule to save our lives, being able to check-in late was super helpful. - The store is stocked with a broad variety of useful items. Having cooking utensils for outdoor grilling (incl. over fire cooking) proved exceptionally helpful.

Nice wooded area, quiet. Restrooms/showers were great. Friendly staff. We stayed at 3 different KOA's in our 2 week trip and this was my favorite.

Very quiet. Nice staff. Asked for a site where I could get satellite reception. Nice girl in office took care of us. Would certainly come back again. Just a short drive to town and lots to due in the area. Very clean and neat camp ground.

Clean, cozy cabin. Enjoyed the outside fire ring. Restrooms are modern, clean, and private. It was cold outside but the heat in the cabin kept us toasty warm.

Very convenient location. Clean grounds and more importantly, very clean bathrooms! Quiet and scenic surroundings in the Fall. We will definitely be back!

We stay here to be able to stay in our RV during the pandemic because I am receiving chemo treatments at UVa. It is close and since my appointments are very early, we can drive our car in and my husband then comes back during my treatment to hook up the RV and go back into town to pick me up. I am sad that this KOA is closing for the winter in the middle of Nov. There are no other places to park.

Very nice campground - Small but clean, well kept and friendly staff. They were very accommodating of 3-groups camping together. Set us up perfect for group camping event. Nice pet trail for walking your 4-legged children.

Only stayed one night. The site was lovely. However the check- in was not in compliance with Virginia covid requirements. No mask or barrier were used. We didn't really tour the campground, as we didn't feel comfortable. I will not recommend this KOA to anyone until the pandemic is over.

We have been going to the Charlottesville KOA since late 1990's and have always enjoyed our time there. We talked so much about our experience that for the past 10 years our camping group has been joining us. We love the rustic area the campground is located in, very peaceful!

We had a great time. Bring your own firewood, the firewood they had didn't light but instead smoked. I think it may have been wet still. Campground was nice, bathrooms were clean. Ten sites were a little small, but overall, nice campground.

Great little campground. Bathrooms were super clean and our site was very nice. Could use some serious leaf blowing to clean up the premises a bit, and it would be nice if the girl who checked us in would wear a mask. But otherwise we had a great stay!

First of all, those upgraded bathrooms were luxurious! Second, it was over all just very wonderful. The staff was very friendly, and when we were being a little loud they just politely reminded us it was quiet hours. We'll definitely be back. 12/10

This is a hidden gem a little over a half an hour outside Shenandoah NP. Exceptionally friendly staff welcome you to a woodsy KOA that has all the usual attractions but each camouflaged between towering trees. We visited in autumn with our 2 dogs and throughly enjoyed our stay. Our site was spacious and semi private. We hiked their nature trail each morning and evening with the dogs and enjoyed views of Beaver pond while appreciating the mutt mitt station along our route. A small fenced in pet playground allowed the pooches to run free and meet friends. You'll find very clean private showers and bathrooms as well as a nice little camp store with souvenirs and snacks. Very well done! Thank you to our hosts.

Relatively small, quaint and VERY quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Bathrooms and shower facilities were spotless. Would definitely stay here again. (25' motorhome)

Upon arrival, check in was only a few moments, it was easy to find our campsite. Internet connection is about 118 mbs, very fast, cellular connection is great. Everything in the campground is clean, the restrooms are private, clean and warm. We stayed 10/21-22/2021. A fantastic time.
