Great campsite. Clean bathrooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to all great locations including Monticello, vineyards, and Shenandoah National Park. We had a really enjoyable stay.

Extremely friendly staff and one of the best maintained properties we’ve stayed at. Will certainly be back! The only con is that you can’t pick your site ahead of time but 90% of the sites seemed great!

Nice, quiet campground. Relatively close to Charlottesville and Monticello. Lots of nearby wineries. Campground was clean and staff friendly. Great hookups, as electricity and water pressure were both strong. Not a lot of permanent sites which we like as it keeps down the noise and nuisance golf carts.

What a great place to stay. Love feeling like I’m away from it all but only a short drive away from everything. Campground was clean and up to date. Hookups and facilities were in great condition. Nice pool and nature trail. Great staff…they really worked to put our parties together. So much to see and do in the area: Michie Tavern, Kings family winery, James River Reeling & Rafting!

Awesome bathhouse! Clean, updated, bright, private. We never had to wait on a shower or restroom. Plenty of amenities including face painting and henna tattoos. Level sites. Easy, friendly check in. Close to activities in the area.

Easily the best KOA I have encountered. Quiet location. Nicely kept. The pet trail was wooded and the pond even had a heron feeding as I walked through. Convenient to Charlottesville. Spot #50 was spacious. Had to move my truck to accommodate the back-in needs of the site behind me. Bath and laundry houses were good protection during tornado warnings. Would appreciate weather warning from staff.

Clean ,quiet...my only concern is leaving the KOA with the camper and making a right turn. We had a 35 ft. Tiffin pulling a car and had the same concern. It would be reassuring if there were a mirror opposite the entrance showing the oncoming cars speeding your way on your left!

We only stayed a single night with twin 1.5 year olds, so we didn't explore as much as we might have liked, but our spot was nice and level and all hooks worked as expected. The office also tried to catch up with me by phone after we departed to let me know that I had left my tire chocks behind. Unfortunately, someone had already taken them by the time I called back.

We arrived at midnight and left at 9 am the next day. The campground called us before arriving to let us know the check-in procedure. She was really friendly and helpful. We found the paperwork and our site easily. The sites are pretty small so I don' think I'd spend more than one night there in the future but it was perfect for our needs this time. Also can I say the bathrooms are AMAZING?!?

Was very satisfactory. Appreciated making it possible to stay an extra day on the same site. We wanted to stay to use your pool an extra day on these days.

Nice quiet campground with excellent shower/bathroom facilities. They also have a very well stocked camp store, plenty of current brochures for area attractions and a friendly staff! We will be going back for our third stay next month!

We came to visit Montecello and some of the other historic attractions in the area, which we did. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and ease of setup. We plan on making another trip in the future to the area to tour some of the Civil War battlefields and will most likely be contacting you at that time for another reservation.

It was very jot while we were at the KOA and in Charlottesville, so we did not spend a lot of time away from our rv. It appeared that some work was underway on the roads and perhaps mowing was behind. And the pool looked a little dingy, perhaps due to the extreme heat. The place could use some love but the people we spoke with were very mice.

This was a great home base for visiting the wineries. It was easy to get in and out of the pull thru spot and the campground is small and quaint.

I have a 24’ B+ and made a week-long reservation - Sunday to Sunday. When I arrived on Sunday afternoon, I was told to just go pick between sites 50 and 52… no escort to the sites was offered and I had an issue with someone in 51. Also, there are no lights anywhere except the office/restroom building. I asked to be moved but could not be accommodated. Overall the place is OK but very rustic.

Very dangerous pulling out of the camp ground Bathrooms super nice / clean Not a fan of the sites. Wish there was more grass options for our dogs ( mostly all gravel thru out) .. our site did have a nice patio .. convenient to some great vineyards !!

Nice, clean campground. Our space was a large pull-thru (35). The connections were good and well-maintained. Very quiet for the most part. We stayed here to go visit Monticello for the day. The pool was clean and there was recreation available, volleyball, tether ball, horseshoes, jumping pad, etc. To me, it was good for a short stay.

First stop on our trip served the purpose well - about 15 minutes outside Charlottesville so very quite but a little advanced planning on supplies etc is warranted - would stay again if traveling through the area.

very nice campground with large shaded sites and very clean restrooms. only issue is that there had been a lot of rain and we had a real issue with ants getting into the camper. I assume this was due to the rain and not a normal issue.

A very nice Campground with great Hosts! I spent a bit of time each day walking for exercise; I have to say that ALL the sites are well thought out. We didn't get a Patio site this time do to the short notice of our stay and availability, but they look spectacular for next time. With relatives (and lots of OTHER attractions) in the area, we'll be back often.

Love this KOA, big roomy sites, everything is shaded. People are great. It would have received 10 stars but they were lacking in doggy �� disposal and bag stations. We stayed a 5 different KOAs on our trip to Florida and back and this was the only one we're bags and disposal stations were not readily available. Minor inconvenience but one nonetheless.

This is a hidden gem a little over a half an hour outside Shenandoah NP. Exceptionally friendly staff welcome you to a woodsy KOA that has all the usual attractions but each camouflaged between towering trees. We visited in autumn with our 2 dogs and throughly enjoyed our stay. Our site was spacious and semi private. We hiked their nature trail each morning and evening with the dogs and enjoyed views of Beaver pond while appreciating the mutt mitt station along our route. A small fenced in pet playground allowed the pooches to run free and meet friends. You'll find very clean private showers and bathrooms as well as a nice little camp store with souvenirs and snacks. Very well done! Thank you to our hosts.

Relatively small, quaint and VERY quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Bathrooms and shower facilities were spotless. Would definitely stay here again. (25' motorhome)

Upon arrival, check in was only a few moments, it was easy to find our campsite. Internet connection is about 118 mbs, very fast, cellular connection is great. Everything in the campground is clean, the restrooms are private, clean and warm. We stayed 10/21-22/2021. A fantastic time.
