The "Golden Age" of American railroading lasted for about fifty years during which time rail empires were built, two world wars were fought and frequent passenger trains rolled almost everywhere. The Tennessee Valley Railroad was founded in 1969 by a small group of rail fans determined to preserve operating steam passenger trains. You are invited to ride the train, see the audio visual show, browse through our exhibits, tour the repair shop, enjoy the dining room and explore our gift shops.
