Very nice grounds with kid friendly environment, lake, catch and release pond and great staff. I'll be back.

Well maintained park with absolutely lovely people working there. (Not sure if they were the owners but it wouldn’t surprise me with the high level of customer service and friendliness.) We couldn’t have been happier. The chickens, roosters, geese and rescued donkeys were thoroughly enjoyable. And we loved the Christmas decorations all over the park. Will definitely stay again when in the area

Nice place to stay. Office was open and we were escorted to our level site. We got propane tank filled with no waiting.

We were in need of a place to stay overnight while traveling. Late check in was a breeze and our site was easy to find. In the morning we walked our dog and found a nice dog area. Would recommend.

Great KOA with a country setting. The hosts were fantastic and gave us a special site because we were staying for a week. Trail to the lake was a 5 minute walk. Bonus seeing the animals, donkey, ducks, geese, chickens and roosters from our window. Some noise from the highway but not too bad. Adding this one to our favorites list.

This was a great campground. We only stayed a night, but wish we could have stayed longer. The sites were easy to get in and out of, the lake was beautiful, and the staff was super friendly.

Enjoyed our stay here, but encourage check in staff to adopt contactless chech-in procedures. Front desk person did not wear a mask even though I did. Other parks have successfully accomplished contactless check in..... and you do this with late arrivals every day!

We only laid over for one night but we enjoyed every minute during our stay and we now have Checotah West KOA on our return list. We were greeted by a very polite and helpful young man who escorted us to our sight. Sights were level, clean, spacious, with well maintained utilities. Our sight was a pull through long enough for 40' motor home pulling a toad and we did not have to disconnec

This is a great park with wide sites, easy to maneuver roads, and lots of walking space. The only draw back is the highway noise. We got use to it though. The park is clean and well maintained. Great clean laundry room. We loved the animals and trail to the lake.

We were only there for a night but campsite is pretty, lots of trees, nice staff, and especially liked the fresh ice cream counter inside the office! Only disturbing thing is a lot of road noise from the highway through the trees.

The only negative is the road noise. Good spacious spots. Fire rings. Kids stuff and some animals. Beautiful setting. Stayed in a 44 ft MH towing. Did not have to unhook.

This campground was at the half-way point of our drive so we stayed twice, once on the way out and once on the way back. On the way out we encountered bad weather and stayed an extra day. The campground was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities were well kept. We would definitely stay again.

We got in very late and the key was right where it should have been �. It really helped that the cabin had a shower in it. Our kids just loved the loft ���

We were here in late October. The leaves were changing colors, it was a little chilly so the park was not too crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks around the duck pond, the trail to the lake and the nature trail. Of course we had our dogs with us and they had a blast! We reserved a premium pull through site and enjoyed a blazing campfire and purchased firewood on-site! I highly recommend.

Easy in and out from I-40. Liked the escort to site. Our site was FHU 50 amp with gravel/grass and level. Our site was long enough that we did not have to unhook tow vehicle (45’ + truck). We requested satellite friendly site which they provided. Staff friendly and helpful. Some road noise. It was a good overnight stop but a little pricey as we didn’t use any of the other amenities.

James and Justin saved our butts. The window in the over cap sleeping area blew out about and hour before arriving at the campground. They fashioned a plywood insert and helped us tape it up there. Plus they checked back during our stay and helped us make the fix a little more secure. Until something like this happens to you it's hard to realize just how much you can appreciate a campground.

Thank you for having us. The young 16 year old working for you went BEYOND expectations to insure my disabled husband's comfort - he delivered groceries, brought him an air compressor, and made arrangements to have the morning employee pick him up to take him to the showers (he can't walk well and has difficulty navigating the shower in our RV). What an amazing human being! THANK YOU!

Clean pull thru sites with plenty of room. Not really shaded. Easy walking distance to Lake Eufaula, and they do have kayaks to rent. I will say that it would be nice if they had something marking their property from the water. Very hard to tell through the trees where to pull the kayaks back into. Luckily I saved the GPS coordinates in my phone before setting off.

Our biggest complaint is that none of the staff were wearing masks. Very inconsiderate, in our opinion. The campground was next to the highest so was quite noisy. It did offer a nice play area and fishing pond if you have kids. It is also close to the lake and in nice weather you can rent a kayak.

This was such a fun place to stay. We had a few questions and even though it was a holiday the camp hosts called us back. We stayed in a tent site. Plenty of grass for the dog to explore. The showers were hot which is always appreciated and bathrooms open 24/7. The laundry was also open and not busy, unfortunately there wasn't a change machine inside so we weren't able to do laundry. There is a catch and release pond, K9 dog area, and even a walk to the beach/lake! Our favorite part was visiting all the animals they have on site: cows, miniature horses, donkeys, ducks, chickens, etc!

This is by far the best KOA I have stayed at. Easy in and out with a big rig. Beautiful trees and a walk to the lake with a big Beach(this time of year). 31Oct. It looks like the lake goes up and might lose some of the beach in summer. I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff and very clean.
