We were tent camping cross country and while this KOA did have a hot shower which was nice after a week without, it’s like camping on the median of a highway. After staying we agreed that we should’ve continued on to another dispersed camping/National Forest area.

Staff is very friendly and campground is clean. We had a problem with our car and the staff helped us out. Enjoyed our stay.

When we arrived, we decided to rent a kayak and a canoe. Best decision ever. We have very minimal experience with either one, and thought it would be a memorable experience for our sons 13th birthday. It was so much fun. We had minimal contact with the staff, but they were friendly enough. Our 2 complaints are the persimmon trees all around the tent area, and the catch and release pond was nasty.

Don’t stay here if you are in a tent. I-40 is immediately next to this KOA and for some reason they put tent sites closest to the interstate! They could have put tent sites at the back of the property but decided not to.

We recently stayed at the tent camping site. The whole camp is very well maintained. Renee And Charles are so nice! They even deliver us firewood after hours. Visiting Jasper, the friendly donkey, is a must! The tent area is close to the highway, but wasn’t as bothersome as we thought. This is a great destination!!!!!

Hosts were great. Location was great. We had the perfect tent site close to bathrooms and the playground for our kids. Everyone had a fun relaxing time.

This was such a fun place to stay. We had a few questions and even though it was a holiday the camp hosts called us back. We stayed in a tent site. Plenty of grass for the dog to explore. The showers were hot which is always appreciated and bathrooms open 24/7. The laundry was also open and not busy, unfortunately there wasn't a change machine inside so we weren't able to do laundry. There is a catch and release pond, K9 dog area, and even a walk to the beach/lake! Our favorite part was visiting all the animals they have on site: cows, miniature horses, donkeys, ducks, chickens, etc!

This is by far the best KOA I have stayed at. Easy in and out with a big rig. Beautiful trees and a walk to the lake with a big Beach(this time of year). 31Oct. It looks like the lake goes up and might lose some of the beach in summer. I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff and very clean.
