The staff at this KOA were friendly, nice, and sociable. The bathrooms were clean and the hot water lasted a long time. However, our fist night in the cabins was plagued with spiders. I'm no stranger to the outdoors I've stayed at many KOA cabin sites in the last few years but the bugs here we're unrivaled. Webs with multiple spiders spanned across the porch swing, ants inside the cabin. Miserable

Reserved online. Beautiful campground. Large grass & gravel level sites. Picnic table & firepit. Friendly & helpful staff Quiet! Easy access to walking trail to lake.

Everyone we met at the Checotah KOA was great. The people who work there and the other guests. The camp is located right off I40 and has lake frontage. The camp is about twelve miles west of the town of Checotah, which is a very small town, but we still had good internet connectivity. The pull though slots are easy to navigate, the laundry room was the best we have experienced.

Great place. If you could have controled the heat it would have been perfect! Oklahoma in July/August hot and no cooling off at night. We will stay again.

This was by far the best KOS we have stayed at. Checking in was simple. The lot was easy to access. We have a 40 foot bumper pull and had no problem getting in and out. Wish we would have had more time to spend there. We will definitely go back.

Our stay was great. It was quiet and relaxing. The campground and facilities were clean. The staff were friendly. I gave 4 stars only because the pool wasn't clean.

Don’t stay here if you are in a tent. I-40 is immediately next to this KOA and for some reason they put tent sites closest to the interstate! They could have put tent sites at the back of the property but decided not to.

We loved this KOA! From the convenient laundry facility, to the clean grounds and pool, to the fun animals, to the lake trail, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Large spaces, clean showers and baths. Lots for kids to do including a small catch and release fishing pond. Within a two minute walk to the lake. Fun to feed the cows and donkey, Dairy and Dash.

We stayed in a camping cottage, it was an awesome little place for the family! The kids loved the loft minus the bugs :)

We pulled in late, hooked up and went to sleep in a very quiet campground. The property is well taken care of and the hosts were friendly and helpful. Paid for late check out. It was easy to find, even in the pitch darkness. A short walk with the dogs to the lake Eufaula was perfect for us to stretch our legs. We would definitely stay there again if coming through the area.

This was such a fun place to stay. We had a few questions and even though it was a holiday the camp hosts called us back. We stayed in a tent site. Plenty of grass for the dog to explore. The showers were hot which is always appreciated and bathrooms open 24/7. The laundry was also open and not busy, unfortunately there wasn't a change machine inside so we weren't able to do laundry. There is a catch and release pond, K9 dog area, and even a walk to the beach/lake! Our favorite part was visiting all the animals they have on site: cows, miniature horses, donkeys, ducks, chickens, etc!

This is by far the best KOA I have stayed at. Easy in and out with a big rig. Beautiful trees and a walk to the lake with a big Beach(this time of year). 31Oct. It looks like the lake goes up and might lose some of the beach in summer. I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff and very clean.
