Check in process was easy, had someone escort us to our site, which I always appreciate. The beach is great, shallow with some low waves. Sharp shells, so bring your water shoes! Nice big grassy dog park on the property, and dogs allowed on the beach which was fun. No problems or complaints while we were there.

El lugar me parece impresionante pero el servicio y atención al cliente y la limpieza del lugar son fatales no podía dormir en un lugar tan sucio y apestoso así que tuve que limpiarlo y lo dejé implacable y desinfectado el próximo huésped se sentirá feliz Habia fugas de agua en el lavadero el baño era asqueroso así que será poco probable que regrese

We had so much fun! The kids enjoyed all of the activities (tie die shirts, scavenger hunts, chocolate slip and slide, karaoke) The staff if very fun and entertaining. The campground is very clean and well kept. We enjoyed the WiFi, full hook up and cable tv.

No bike rentals. Only two washers were working and needed quarters only. Front desk had no change. Had to get $20 in quarters. Golf cart was not available till the day after arrival. Our RV Rental had the patio pushed towards the rear of the RV which means we walked in and out onto a sandpit. Our BBQ was a flattop on cinder blocks. Sent an email about trip and never heard back from GM.

My family of 3 had a great time staying in an on-site RV. There was plenty of things to do for the whole family. We love the pools, amenities, beach and The Jackspot. We can’t wait to plan another trip

3rd time I’m going in there. I know it’s not the campground’s fault, but this time there was a lots of dog’s poop without pick up. A kid pooped in the pool and it took forever to the staff take care of the problem. Some of the sites are way out of level, a friend’s bus had the leveling motor burned out because of that. I have made the reservation for next year and could not get the same

We stayed in the campground, area was very clean, bath houses were always clean, the beach is beautiful! 6 nights, we had a wonderful, relaxing vacation!

Chesapeake KOA is an amazing campground. The water is very clean, the beach is big and the food is good. The people in the office are friendly. We love it and try to go twice a year. We have a 41 foot fifth wheel and stayed there July 7 to July 13. Susan S.

Great accommodations, friendly staff. Jackspot had great food and drinks. Beach was clean. Local town of Cape Charles offered additional activities. Booked again for next year.

We book site #836. We love the privacy & shade however we noticed some of the trees were removed to make room for a parking lot & a road. I understand the beach is popular but the road concerned us & we learned that anyone at anytime could drive down that road. We were reluctant to set up completely & were concerned about vandalizing or theft of our gear. Wish you would have rethought the road!

We truly enjoyed our stay at your location and will definitely come back. The beach is beautiful! The restaurant on the beach had the best seafood and were very accommodating by allowing out little dog to sit under the table. They even brought water for him to drink. Great place. Did I mention the sunsets. �ϋ�

We had a great stay. We were there to get away and relax which we did. We enjiyed the careoki at the restaurant. We will be bace very soon!

Bathrooms by pool very dirty and smelled like urine. Restaurant was closed. Called front desk 4 times and never got a response. Sites are too close to neighbors. Staff at pool were great and pool furniture fantastic. Not much information given at check-in.

We had a great time there. Our cabin was ready upon arrival. Some essential items were missing from our cabin such as we had a broom but no shovel. The towels were very skimpy. I would recommend bringing your own. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool seemed to be a little dirty so we mainly stayed at the beach. I didn't notice any and sanitizers around the property.

My cabin was beautiful, clean, comfy, modern. Should make sure every guest site gets an activities sheet, slip them under the door even. May be announce over speaker? Love the white rocks at cabin site and the patio sets are beautiful. Finish those updates!!! The staff tried to help with missing items, but, there seems to be a supply problem (kitchen utensils, no grill at our site). Love Jacks

I am not sure that I would recommend staying at KOA Cape Charles. There was not a lot to do other than go to pool, or swim in Bay. Not many activities for teenage kids ( No basketball courts, no volleyball nets, etc.) Activities were not promoted or handed to us or our other family who checked in for same stay - when we went up to ask for the activities there were not many listed.

Loved the dog beach and the activities. Why we didn't rate 5 stars was because the k9 drinking fountain was not working and the prices at Jackspot were ridiculously high. Also wish the paddleboard rental was easier to know how to rent as no info was given to us about that. The pool cabanas are amazing and overall we did like our stay.

I reallt enjoyed my stay i got be on the beach have food and Adult beverages the pool . 100% will return The downside i developed Acute Gout in my foot and i am at home for afew days. Truly you have a great place for families to enjoy next trip i will stay a week.

This is the 5 year i have stayed at this campground. The corttage's are great and the staff was very helpful. I would recomend a wider parking area in the old area where the cottages are my truck was too long to fit in the space nd had to park in empty camp areas and move my truck multiple times. Staff told me i could park at office and walk back to my cottage. I did not appreciate this comment.

Location, amenities and staff are all great. Had a wonderful time even though we were hit by tropical storm Elsa. Definitely worth a return trip.

We had a great time here! The Koa/Hotel staff were great ,courteous, and welcoming. We stayed at a safari tent. When the Koa staff heard that tropical storm Elsa was coming through the area the staff reserved a room for is at the hotel to spend the night safely.Thank you Koa/hotel staff.The facilities were very clean.The safari tent was is good order. The beach view is great!Can't wait to return!

Sites are various in size. We stayed in 2 Skipjack sites and they were adequate for our Class A and a 30’ TT. Sites are very pricey and grass. No paved sites. Seems to be well managed and plenty of golf carts available for rent. We made use of the on-site restaurant several times and ordered pickup. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards but there is limited availability.

The bathhouses were clean. The staff was not overly friendly. It felt as the guests were a bother when asking questions. There were no kids activities set from Mon-Wed. We opted to leave early as Elsa was due to hit with a tornado watch. I didn’t expect a refund on my site but asked for a refund on the golf cart. They refused to refund me although there was a wait list to get a cart.

We love camping at Cape Charles/ Chesapeake Bay KOA for their amenities. The Jackspot is a great place to go for food and drinks with a spectacular view. The wait staff are all very friendly and give excellent service. The only disappointment this time, was that the pool was not taken care of what so ever. Pool deck had trash and the pool itself was full of sand and leaves.

We had a wonderful stay! Right from the start, getting escorted out to our site and them willingly pulling over to help back us in was amazing, even in the pouring rain! We loved the dog beach , our pups had a blast! All the campers were respectful. The restaurant on the beach is a great addition and we loved taking drinks to go to the beach. The campground was very clean and the spots were great!

Typically we really enjoy Chesapeake KOA. However, this trip the pool was extremely dirty with sand, dirt and leaves. The pool deck was full of sand and there was trash laying around. We picked up several items ourselves. While we know you can't control the behavior of all campers, I think blowing the deck and vacuuming the pool should be an early morning activity (we were there early).

I was not please with the price Even if you are a resort your services are not worth $150.00 They take your money and they are done with you. No information on TV channels, where to get rid of Trish. The showers are another story. The rooms were so hot you needed another shower when you were done;

No one came to fix our pedestal after a few separate requests, no real services offered midweek. No one answered the phone, so I had to trudge down to get a response about my electricity out. Couldn't get anyone to even scoop some ice cream until Friday, we were there Monday. No toilet paper or paper towels in stock through Saturday when we left. 20 lb ice were half melted. Pools were very cloudy.

Lovely and peaceful days in the bay. Wonderful beach and restaurant. Loved it overall. More toilet paper please. We only had 2 given to us for 5 nights and needed 6. Had to go back to lobby to get 1 a day. Also needed more trash cans. Also appreciated security driving around. Gold cart joy riding was a bit much at night

Sites were way too close together. Very dangerous to allow camp fires when Rv’s are that close together. Need to monitor the kids driving the golf carts. The kids should not be driving the golf carts. They do not follow the rules of the road. Would have been nice to have been given more info ( I.e. rules, hours of restaurant operations) when we checked in.

The check in office was so confused at all times there was no internet (could not watch TV) they don't answer the phone and so stuff was very rude the campground it self is nice

Such a fun place! Loved the close proximity to the pool and the private beach! So pretty! Loved JackSpot and the staff there was awesome!

It was our first time here, and was a windy November weekend. We rented a Deluxe pet-friendly cabin. I was honestly impressed by how clean and fresh smelling the cabin was. The rooms are small but very cozy and they come with linens, individual cooling/heating systems, and the master bedroom has its own TV. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean. It even had a hair dryer, towels and some toiletries in the bathroom. The view is amazing and we are looking forward to coming back next season.

Nice Campground, very clean facilities. We rented a cabin and it was lacking in some items. Sleep 6 but only had Linens and dishware for 4. Also didn't have a frying pan or a spatula so it was difficult to make some of the meals that we had planned. Otherwise the cabin was very clean and the staff was very friendly. It was a quick walk to the beach and although it wasn't I'll deal whether the kids still had a great time. A couple of playgrounds also were entertaining for the kids. I would definitely recommend and we plan on coming back. We will be more prepared this time with extra stuff.
