More towels should be provided in the cabins. And stain free bedding upon arrival we had two beds that sheets with visible stains on them. Aside from these minor details the trip was enjoyable we’ll be back next year for sure.

Arrived and our reservation was messed up. A/c in one of the cabins broke one night and never could get anyone to call us back. Security harassed us for hours on our last night over cars parked there saying we had the wrong pass but it was the one given to us at check-in. Had our kids scared and on edge over nothing. Admin admitted we were being harassed.

The bathrooms were okay. The staff was friendly. safari tent was not clean, the futon was extremely dirty. The refrigerator had caked up food on each shelf. The dresser & tv hadn’t even been wiped down. We had to clean before we could unpack. The tent looks nothing like the picture. Those pics on the site had to be taken 30 years ago. The smell from the garbage/fish cleaning station was horrible

Had a great relaxing 3 day visit. Deluxe cabin was nice. Love the beach and pool area. Customer service at the checking area could use some improvements, maybe providing a brief informative flyer to give to visitors at check-in on frequently asked questions. Had to request extra towels (was only given 2 towels for 5 people for 3 days use), had to ask neighbor about trash pick up. Thanks.

Every staff member encountered had major attitudes. Check out was horrendous as she was waiting for “shift change” and refused to help us. Our rented camper was HORRIBLE! Dirty, dirty, DIRTY!!! No pots/pans, silverware or towels as advertised. The grass that hasn’t been mowed in weeks leads to major mosquito issues. The only plus was the beach and pool although the pool was closed 1/2 day.

Beach is nice. Camper was not. For the amount of money spent, you would expect comfortable beds, a working shower, fully functional and non broken blinds, and everything to be a little more prestine. Also, you can hear everyone around, so it is luck of the draw that you don’t get stuck to loud campers. The only plus was the beach was on site.

It was horrible! The camera was much smaller than expected. There were cushions on wooden slabs instead of a mattress. It was the most uncomfortable bed I have had to sleep on. The bathroom in the camper was described a full size but it was so small that my nephew could barely fit it in. Said camper slept 6 but there is so way. Beach was tiny and very dirty. Pool was also dirty.

We really enjoyed the amenities and everything was very clean throughout the campground. We rented 2 RV's and the outside lights didnt work on both of them so we were not able to sit outside in the evening like we had hoped. In one of the RV's, the bathroom door didnt shut so that was a little uncomfortable to ask everyone to go outside when someone needed to use it.

While my family and I found the campground a nice place to visit an stay. The rental RV (28) was in terrible condition. The AC unit had mold in an around it. There were exposed nails on the upper bunk. The USB plug was torn from the wall cabinet above the booth. When we arrived there were many flies in the RV. The linens that were provided were in trash bags just laid on the bunkhouse bed.

No bike rentals. Only two washers were working and needed quarters only. Front desk had no change. Had to get $20 in quarters. Golf cart was not available till the day after arrival. Our RV Rental had the patio pushed towards the rear of the RV which means we walked in and out onto a sandpit. Our BBQ was a flattop on cinder blocks. Sent an email about trip and never heard back from GM.

My family of 3 had a great time staying in an on-site RV. There was plenty of things to do for the whole family. We love the pools, amenities, beach and The Jackspot. We can’t wait to plan another trip

We had a great time there. Our cabin was ready upon arrival. Some essential items were missing from our cabin such as we had a broom but no shovel. The towels were very skimpy. I would recommend bringing your own. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool seemed to be a little dirty so we mainly stayed at the beach. I didn't notice any and sanitizers around the property.

My cabin was beautiful, clean, comfy, modern. Should make sure every guest site gets an activities sheet, slip them under the door even. May be announce over speaker? Love the white rocks at cabin site and the patio sets are beautiful. Finish those updates!!! The staff tried to help with missing items, but, there seems to be a supply problem (kitchen utensils, no grill at our site). Love Jacks

This is the 5 year i have stayed at this campground. The corttage's are great and the staff was very helpful. I would recomend a wider parking area in the old area where the cottages are my truck was too long to fit in the space nd had to park in empty camp areas and move my truck multiple times. Staff told me i could park at office and walk back to my cottage. I did not appreciate this comment.

We had a great time here! The Koa/Hotel staff were great ,courteous, and welcoming. We stayed at a safari tent. When the Koa staff heard that tropical storm Elsa was coming through the area the staff reserved a room for is at the hotel to spend the night safely.Thank you Koa/hotel staff.The facilities were very clean.The safari tent was is good order. The beach view is great!Can't wait to return!

Lovely and peaceful days in the bay. Wonderful beach and restaurant. Loved it overall. More toilet paper please. We only had 2 given to us for 5 nights and needed 6. Had to go back to lobby to get 1 a day. Also needed more trash cans. Also appreciated security driving around. Gold cart joy riding was a bit much at night

Our teenage kids had a blast and we will definitely be returning however I would love to see more activities going on thur the week for the kids maybe volleyball , basketball, maybe some dance /music or bingo nights?!

Nice campground. Excellent location in proximity to the Bay. Restaurant had good food and great service. Adult beverages were priced very high. Everything in our cabin was clean and it seemed fairly new. Pool was refreshing. Staff friendly. Only complaints-we were expecting to pay $10 a day for the golf cart rental as advertised, but were charged $60 a day and no camp activities during the week.

The cabin description online stated our cabin would have a full bed under the bunks, however, it did not. The toilet did not appear cleaned. Floors were VERY dirty, wore socks entire time. Ceiling fan in living room made loud noise, therefore couldn’t use it. Requested plunger, waited 45 mins and had to drive for one. Not worth the money we spent. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING.

Cabin was clean, but not in great shape. There were rips in the flooring and it just wasn't as nice as pictured. The beach and restaurant were great, but front desk staff left little to be desired. Just overall unpleasant and unhappy to be there. Will not be staying here again.

We rented a camper for a long weekend. It was the perfect size for our group. Great location to the bath house, beach, restaurant, and check-in store. All amenities were kept clean throughout our stay. The firework show was dazzling and started the weekend off with a bang. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Will definitely be planning a return visit next year!

We stayed in a deluxe cabin and had a wonderful time. Had to wait for a golf cart and when I booked I was asked if I would want one and had replied yes so assumed it would be ready. The camper was very nice. Lots of muddy sand around stairs, really could have used rocks. The central air units did not work but there was a window unit in bedroom and living room keeping the cabin very cool. So fun!

Private beach and restaurant (Jackspot) are fantastic. Wait staff at restaurant are wonderful. KOA staff at lobby are polite but need better hospitality training. When the AC broke in my cabin, I never received an apology; at checkout staff didn't ask how my stay was. AC broke and took a while to service. Hot water heater set too high. I almost burned my hand.

Extremely rude staff. Not helpful at all. Had to wash towels because there were none to give. Gym very dirty. Thought there would be a gas grill and nice chairs like all of the other KOA we have stayed at. Pool very nice. Restaurant good. Nice location. I expected clean towels and friendliness at least for $350 a night.

Majority of the Staff was rude. Our cabin was dusty, filled with Cobb webs, and the walls look like they haven’t been painted in years. The restaurant had people eating in one location and the other location was only allowed for certain people and we were told it was closed. Arcade was a big disappointment. The beach & pool was nice.

Rented RV. Kept being a problem with toilet so kept using bathouse. Was given a 10% discount but for the kind of money that was paid it was ridiculous. The employees were friendly but would never answer phone so had to keep going up. Washing machine card readers didn't work so it left only 2 washers and driers that took quarters. Bathhouse only had a few soap dispensers that were not empty.

The blinds were all torn apart, camper was not thoroughly cleaned, smelled of sewage outside due to the camper next to the one I rented was being snaked. We weren’t given the sites we were told we were getting. Restaurant closed at 7 on Sunday without any notice. Worst stay here I’ve had. Very disappointed.

Great location on the bay with plenty to do nearby. The cabin we stayed in was nice though needed some minor maintenance, some of which was down as we were leaving. We enjoyed the beach and the on site restaurant as well as nearby beaches!

Stayed in pet friendly cabin. Lock was fualty, but maintenance replaced. All staff that was met was great. Sheets where not sure if they were cleaned of not. Staff did not leave enough towels for 4 people. Price is higher than normal KOA but you do get a beach.

We have always loved KOA & have been to many. We always get a cabin & have been 100% happy with the cabin, comfort & cleanliness until we visited this KOA. The cabin was dirty, the floors were full of sand dirt & hair. The cloth headboard in the master bedroom was covered in a layer of dust & hair & we also saw black mold covering the inside of the a/c unit. We will NEVER stay here again! Terrible

I LOVED our stay at Cape Charles KOA my only complaint is there was old food left in our microwave in our cabin …. That just showed the cabin wasn’t cleaned well…. Also a couple of the people at the front desk when we were checking in were rude but it didn’t mess up our vacay the cabin was beautiful and the beach was gorgeous!

The beach was beautiful. Our dog had a wonderful time in the water and with the other dogs. Guests at campsite were friendly. Cabin was clean, but we were missing many items (dust pan, dish towels, pot holders) and had a small supply of toilet paper and paper towels. Watch out for nighttime golf cart drivers. Place seems understaffed for demand. Larger staff might help alleviate some issues.

Kids had a good time, pool and beach are nice. Reported hot water issue with rental 2 day of our 6 night stay but it was never fixed. A/C went out in the middle of the last night. When I told front desk about the issues she said ok thank you. No apology for the hot water never being fixed or any offer of money off a future stay or back as partial refund.

Very disappointed in RV rental. Awning was brocken on arrival. Ants all over the camper and AC was covered in mold and dust. Ending up leaving after 1 night and finding other accommodations.

It was our first time here, and was a windy November weekend. We rented a Deluxe pet-friendly cabin. I was honestly impressed by how clean and fresh smelling the cabin was. The rooms are small but very cozy and they come with linens, individual cooling/heating systems, and the master bedroom has its own TV. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean. It even had a hair dryer, towels and some toiletries in the bathroom. The view is amazing and we are looking forward to coming back next season.

Nice Campground, very clean facilities. We rented a cabin and it was lacking in some items. Sleep 6 but only had Linens and dishware for 4. Also didn't have a frying pan or a spatula so it was difficult to make some of the meals that we had planned. Otherwise the cabin was very clean and the staff was very friendly. It was a quick walk to the beach and although it wasn't I'll deal whether the kids still had a great time. A couple of playgrounds also were entertaining for the kids. I would definitely recommend and we plan on coming back. We will be more prepared this time with extra stuff.
